As I am sure you know, federal money has run out for SNAP benefits, or food stamps. The same leftists in Congress who voted against paying our servicemen and women, our Border Patrol agents, and air traffic controllers during the shutdown went on the warpath demanding that the Trump administration use emergency contingency funds to pay for food stamps.
 
The Agriculture Department said those emergency funds legally can only be used if there is money in its main account. But there is no money there because Democrats shut the government down by refusing to pass the authorization. Two judges who have a habit of ordering President Trump to stop spending on certain things are now ordering the president to spend this emergency money.
 
But the president announced yesterday that the food stamp program is rife with fraud and cannot be fully funded unless Democrats end the shutdown and appropriate the money, which they refused to do.
 
Senate Democrats voted Tuesday morning for the 14th time to keep the Schumer Shutdown going.
 

 

 

Is Comey Cooked?
 
Fired FBI Director James Comey is currently on trial for lying to Congress. Comey testified under oath that he did not ask or order anyone to leak information to the media. But newly released court filings tell a very different story.
 
Emails and text messages obtained by the Department of Justice show Comey and his friend, Columbia professor Daniel Richman, celebrating their leaks to the New York Times and even coordinating other media leaks.
 
These emails also show that Comey fully expected “president-elect Clinton will be very grateful” for his decisions at the FBI.
 
In addition, FBI Director Kash Patel turned over a handwritten note from Comey that was recently discovered in a safe in a “hidden” secure room at the FBI’s headquarters. This is the same room where five “burn bags” were discovered.
 
Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee that he knew nothing about Hillary Clinton’s campaign scheme to accuse Donald Trump of colluding with Russia during the 2016 presidential election. Comey’s handwritten note proves that his Senate testimony was a lie and that he knew the entire Russia collusion story was a lie concocted by the Clinton campaign.
 
Yet, he continued to spy on President Trump and his administration and later pushed for his former boss, Robert Mueller, to continue the Russia collusion investigation as a special prosecutor.
 
 
 
Importing Hate
 
A string of violent attacks has made headlines in Great Britain over the past week. But the left-wing politicians in charge of the government refuse to connect the dots. 

• A hotel worker was strangled and sexually assaulted.
• A train conductor was strangled and assaulted.
• A bystander was stabbed to death inside a bank.
• A man walking his dog was murdered after being stabbed 14 times.
• A hotel worker was stabbed 23 times with a screwdriver.

 
Every one of these vicious attacks was committed by an “asylum seeker” or “refugee” from a Muslim nation.
 
Open border policies have swamped Great Britain with a massive wave of illegal aliens and “refugees” from Muslim nations. These interlopers are bringing their anti-Western culture and hatreds with them.
 
Obviously, not all Muslims are radical Islamists, but they provide the cultural foundation for radical Islamism. They come from countries with “honor cultures.” If your honor is violated, violence is an acceptable way of reacting. Women have few, if any rights, and Jews and Christians are despised and discriminated against.
 
Yet the entire British establishment is more worried about stopping a populist conservative from winning the next election than it is about stopping the murders of their own citizens at the hands of Muslim extremists.
 
If America does not wake up, this is our fate.
 
 
 
Dick Cheney, R.I.P.
 
Former Vice President Dick Cheney passed away Monday night. Cheney, of course, was vice president under George W. Bush during the 9/11 era. Following that atrocity, Cheney was intimately involved in making major decisions for our country, most importantly destroying Al Qaeda and hunting down Osama bin Laden.
 
Unfortunately, the decision to go into Afghanistan and try to turn it into a democracy was, in retrospect, a fool’s errand. There is no history of democracy in that country, and our efforts there ended ignobly after Joe Biden’s disastrous retreat.
 
The decision to go into Iraq, which many supported at the time, ended up being a foreign policy and national security disaster for the Middle East and the United States.
 
Iraq was the major geopolitical counterforce against Iran. But when we overthrew the Iraqi government, we paved the way for the current Iraqi regime that is allied with Iran, if not controlled by Iran.
 
The Iraqi conflict in particular, as well as actions in Libya and Syria, resulted in the mass extermination of Christians throughout the Middle East, where so many significant biblical events took place.
 
Dick Cheney was hated by the Left. But, ironically, as time passed, his daughter became loved by the Left. Liz Cheney abandoned the Republican Party. She conspired with the Democrats to create a kangaroo court to attempt to make a 4-hour riot on January 6, 2021, the worst thing that happened in America since the Civil War.
 
Dick Cheney, sadly, went down the same road. He went well beyond simply defending his daughter. He repeatedly said how proud he was that Liz Cheney stood up to Donald Trump. Last year, he actually publicly endorsed Kamala Harris, saying, “There has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump.”
 
Over the years, I interacted with Dick Cheney often. His wife, Lynne, led the National Endowment for the Humanities and was one of the early voices calling for the restoration of patriotic education in our schools. She was deeply concerned about arts and education in general turning away from America.
