Two More Warnings
In Florida, Republicans lost the technically nonpartisan race for mayor of the City of Miami.
Alarm bells better be going off at the Republican National Committee. If the November state elections and the Tennessee special congressional election were not enough, conservatives got two more warnings last night about the political atmosphere in America.
In Florida, Republicans lost the technically nonpartisan race for mayor of the City of Miami. The City of Miami should not be conflated with Miami-Dade County. While President Trump won Miami-Dade County by 11 points in 2024, he narrowly lost the City of Miami.
So, what happened? Turnout in off-year elections is always low because many voters are tuned out. That wasn’t the case this year. Turnout was up 33%.
But the GOP candidate this year received 6,400 fewer votes compared to the 2021 Republican candidate. It looks like thousands of Republican voters didn’t vote, while many more Democrats did.
Now the fake news media are hyping the Democrat win, claiming the city of Miami has elected Republican mayors for the past 28 years. Not necessarily.
The current “Republican” mayor voted against Donald Trump in 2016. He voted against Ron DeSantis in 2018. He voted against Donald Trump in 2020, and he ran against Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP primary.
He may call himself a “Republican,” but he’s really a RINO—Republican In Name Only.
Meanwhile, about 700 miles north, Republicans narrowly lost a Georgia state House seat near Athens. President Trump won this district by 12 points last year, and the GOP candidate for the state House carried it by 22 points. Again, it appears as though conservative voters were asleep at the wheel.
Trump Makes His Case
President Trump traveled to Pennsylvania Tuesday to give a speech on the economy. He spoke directly to the concerns that many Americans have about affordability. He said, “I have no higher priority than making America affordable again, that’s what we’re going to do. They [Democrats] caused the high prices, and we’re bringing them down.”
As I outlined in Monday’s report, the president is absolutely right. So, too, are his economic policies, as wages continue to grow faster than inflation.
The president invited a mother onto the stage. She works as a bartender and waitress, and she said, “The no tax on tips is incredible. No tax on overtime is incredible for my husband. And it all comes back to our family. It saves us.”
Democrats tried to defeat this relief for working families.
President Trump talked about energy prices and what his administration is doing to bring them down. The evidence is clear: Democrat policies deliberately caused electricity prices to “necessarily skyrocket,” as Barack Obama once put it.
This president understands the difficulties many Americans are facing. But Democrats and their media allies are attempting to twist Trump’s words on affordability when he called it “a hoax.”
The Left immediately pounced and said, “Trump just repeated Joe Biden’s mistake, telling Americans they are wrong to think they are having trouble paying their bills.” That’s false.
What the president was calling a hoax is the idea that people should vote for Democrats to fix the affordability crisis when they caused it. In his speech last night, Trump joked, “Democrats talking about affordability is like [gangsters] Bonnie and Clyde preaching about public safety!”
Charlie’s Final Thoughts
Charlie Kirk finished a new book just before his assassination. Since his death, some people have been scrutinizing his statements, making assumptions about his beliefs, and distorting his words to promote toxic agendas, including antisemitism.
His book was released Tuesday, and it is full of his own statements, so we don’t have to guess at what he believed. And the title of the book tells you everything: “Stop in the Name of God: Why Honoring The Sabbath Will Transform Your Life.”
Charlie’s stirring book currently tops Amazon’s bestseller list. It’s so popular that Amazon already ran out of copies and is getting more from the publisher.
President Trump loves the book, too. On his Truth Social platform, he offered this endorsement:
“One month before a monster took him away from us, the Great Charlie Kirk finished his final Book, "Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life.” As Charlie often said, “If I’m to be known for anything, I want to be known for being courageous for my Faith.”
“Charlie cared deeply about God and Country and, in this powerful book, his Wisdom, Courage, and Conviction inspires us all to turn to God for guidance against the Evil in this World, which we too can overcome, SO HELP US GOD.”
Common Sense Prevails
The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia just handed the Trump administration a big win. In a 2-1 opinion, the court overturned an order from a Biden-appointed federal district judge preventing the Pentagon from enforcing the administration’s ban on transgender troops.
The majority found that the district court judge “gave no sound reason for overriding [Secretary Hegseth’s] considered judgment.” One pundit said the district court judge’s opinion was “soaked in the language of social media influencers,” adding, “This person is not a judge. Robes don’t make her one.”
The dissenting opinion from the D.C. Circuit Court also deserves heavy criticism.
Judge Cornelia Pillard, an Obama appointee, declared, “The public interest suffers from the arbitrary and demoralizing depletion of our armed forces.” Of course, the exact opposite is true.
First of all, the Left has been lying about the number of transgender troops in the military. Even the New York Times admitted that the number of trans troops was greatly exaggerated and “far lower than estimated.” So, there’s no “depleting” going on here.
In fact, it’s the exact opposite: the military is having a record-breaking year for recruitment.
Second, the claim that this commonsense policy is somehow “demoralizing” is false. Taking people out of the military who are under the delusion they were “assigned the wrong sex at birth” is not demoralizing. It is encouraging to the troops to know that sanity has been restored by their commanders and the new commander-in-chief sitting in the White House.
Florida Fights For Children
Kudos to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier! He just announced a groundbreaking lawsuit against the primary pushers of transgender ideology: the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the Endocrine Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In his announcement, Uthmeier said that these organizations knew the evidence supporting “gender affirming care” was weak and that there were very real risks involved. And because these so-called “experts” hid those facts, “Children were irrevocably harmed because truth was replaced with political activism.”
I have argued for years that this is exactly what needs to happen. The people who are “mutilating children and misleading families” must pay a price.
We have an ally in President Trump. We have an ally in Gov. DeSantis. But the battle for our children is raging in every school district, in every school, and in every classroom in America.
That’s why every one of us protecting children and grandchildren must be bold in stopping this delusion from being put into the minds of children.
Here’s one example.
A school in Montgomery County, Maryland, showed 6th graders a presentation during “Transgender Awareness Week.” Among other things, the presentation gave them “8 tips for being nonbinary.”
Think of how evil this is. Do you remember puberty? It is one big blowup of confusion and embarrassment. That’s when they choose to present this material to 11 and 12-year-olds.
In previous decades, someone doing this to our kids would have been taken out and hung. (No, I’m not recommending that anyone be hanged.) But I am recommending accountability.
These are our children being indoctrinated with our tax dollars. No one who would do this to our kids should ever be allowed to step foot in a classroom again!
