I know many Americans are worried about the deep divisions in our country today. There is one important issue that does unite us—the need to guarantee the integrity of our elections by ensuring that only U.S. citizens are voting. That’s why 83% of Americans support voter ID laws.
 
That strong support comes from 95% of Republicans, 84% of Independents, 82% of Hispanics, 76% of Blacks, and even 71% of Democrats. Yet, in spite of this overwhelming support, even among their own voters, Democrats in Congress continue to do everything they can to prevent this simple election integrity reform.
 
Wednesday, the House of Representatives debated the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, known as the SAVE America Act. It’s a simple commonsense proposal—you must prove you are an American citizen when you register to vote, and you must show a valid photo ID when you vote.
 
Who could be against that? Well, as it turns out, virtually every Democrat in Congress.
 
If the vote in the House of Representatives broke down according to the widely shared view of the American people, the SAVE America Act would pass 361 to 74. Instead, it just barely passed 218 to 213 because every House Democrat except one voted against it.
 
Why would virtually every House Democrat oppose legislation ensuring that only American citizens are voting in our elections and that the people casting ballots are who they claim to be? 
 
Chuck Schumer condemned the SAVE America Act as “Jim Crow 2.0.” Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) explained her opposition by claiming the bill was “racist, misogynistic trash” intended to “intimidate and suppress the votes of anyone who threatens their extremist white supremacist agenda.”
 
Do Schumer and Ramirez really believe that 82% of Hispanics and 76% of Blacks are supporting an “extremist white supremacist agenda”? Of course not. But that doesn’t stop their demagoguery. 
 
And the truth is they want foreign nationals voting in our elections, and they want to make cheating in our elections easier. (Here, here, and here.)
 
Hardly a day goes by without someone asking me, “Gary, why can’t the two parties just come together for the good of the country?” Wednesday’s vote was a perfect opportunity to do just that. But Democrats won’t do it.
 
For the past ten years, Democrats have accused Donald Trump of undermining confidence in our elections. The SAVE America Act would guarantee election integrity and go a long way toward restoring confidence in our elections. But Democrats won’t do it.
 
There is only one logical conclusion for their stiff-necked opposition—a significant percentage of their vote is coming from foreign nationals in our country illegally.
 

 

The Useless U.N.
 
Wednesday marked the 47th anniversary of the bloody revolution in Tehran that led to the hellhole known as the Islamic Republic of Iran. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres congratulated the Iranian leadership on the “momentous” occasion, even though the mullahs just slaughtered thousands of Iranian civilians.
 
Later this month, Iran’s foreign minister will address the United Nations Human Rights Council. Maybe someone there can ask him to explain why the Iranian regime is executing pro-democracy supporters in hospital beds. I’m not holding my breath.
 
Yet, even as the tyrants of Tehran commit untold atrocities, Iran was just elected vice-chair of the U.N.‘s Commission for Social Development. The commission’s focus is on “poverty eradication, social inclusion, gender equality, and democracy,” none of which the Islamic Republic knows anything about.
 
 
 
What School Shooting?
 
The school shooting in Canada is getting virtually no attention compared to how school shootings are usually covered by the media. After any report of gunfire at a school, Democrats and their leftist allies immediately run to the microphones to demand more restrictions on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.
 
But we’re not hearing that this time. So, why is this tragedy being treated so differently?
 
Well, I can’t help but think that there’s just no way to “spin” what actually happened: Jesse Strang, a trans maniac, killed his family and five children at his former school.
 
Yet, Reuters, a “respected” worldwide news service, continued to refer to the male killer as “a woman” and “her.” Not-so-respected CNN told us, “The suspect is an 18-year-old woman who had dropped out of the school… She was born biologically male and transitioned about six years ago.” And Canadian law enforcement officials referred to the murderer as “they.”
 
These are sentences that are only possible in 2026 when truth is considered bigotry. “They acted alone.” What? “They” and “alone” contradict each other. And “She was born biologically male.” No, “she” wasn’t. He was born a male and remained one.
 
Let me introduce you to “Ms. Strang.”
 

This is what took the lives of five children, a teacher, and its own family members.
 
And kudos to The Telegraph, a British media outlet, for having the courage to ask, “Are Cross-Sex Drugs Driving Trans Shooters To Kill?” Every American news organization should be asking the same thing.
 
 
 
Media Malfeasance
 
If you have an iPhone like I do, you probably get a lot of alerts from Apple News. You should probably just ignore them.
 
Our friends at the Media Research Center analyzed 620 top stories featured on Apple News last month. Not one came from a conservative or even center-right media organization. Not even Fox News.
 
The top five most cited news outlets were: The Washington Post, The Associated Press, NBC News, The Guardian, and The New York Times. All ideologically left-wing outlets.
 
It’s estimated that 150 million Americans use iPhones, and they’re all getting bombarded with leftist propaganda. Just another reminder of what we’re up against.
 
 
 
Moving On
 
Border Czar Tom Homan announced yesterday that Operation Metro Surge, the federal immigration enforcement effort in Minneapolis, was winding down. Homan said he was able to end the surge because state and local authorities agreed to provide federal immigration police much more access to state prisons and county jails.
 
Those agreements, in addition to more than 4,000 arrests, were making Minnesota “less of a sanctuary state for criminals.” But not every federal official is leaving soon.
 
Homan stressed that some immigration enforcement personnel would remain working with law enforcement in the jails and prisons. Federal agents who are prosecuting the massive fraud and corruption schemes, as well as the more than 200 left-wing demonstrators arrested for assaulting federal immigration police, are also staying.
 
Late last year, federal immigration police launched Operation Swamp Sweep in Louisiana. Mr. Homan may need to make another trip to the Bayou State.
 
An Obama-appointed judge just released four criminal illegal aliens, even though they all have deportation orders. Three are convicted murderers, and one is a convicted child molester. Assistant Department of Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted their release, saying:
 
“Unfortunately, the ramifications will only be the continued rape, murder, assault, and robbery of more American victims. Releasing these monsters is inexcusably reckless.
 
"President Trump and Secretary Noem are now enforcing the law and arresting illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country. We are applying the law as written. If an immigration judge finds an illegal alien has no right to be in this country, we are going to remove them. Period.”
