Trump Tames Inflation

Inflation is now running at 2.4% annually compared to 9.1% under Biden.

The consumer price index that measures inflation came in lighter/better than expected. Inflation is now running at 2.4% annually compared to 9.1% under Biden. Earlier last week, the latest job creation figures came in massively above what was expected. The Federal Reserve still has room for two more interest rate cuts.

Economic growth appears to be at an unheard-of high of 5%. Outsized tax refunds are on their way within weeks.

This is what used to be called a “Goldilocks economy.” In other words, everything is “just right.” But every political analyst, every pollster, and every insider says Republicans are going to get wiped out in November because of the economy. Something doesn’t make sense.

The Holy Grail

The Trump administration just delivered a big win for American consumers and a big blow to the radical environmental movement. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced Thursday that he has formally repealed the EPA’s “Endangerment Finding” regulation.

President Trump hailed Thursday’s action as “the largest act of deregulation in the history of the United States.” Terminating the Endangerment Finding is expected to lower the cost of a new car by roughly $3,000.

The Endangerment Finding regulation was written by the Obama administration. It radically redefined what qualifies as air pollutants that “endanger” public health. The EPA then claimed it had the authority to regulate greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide, under the Clean Air Act.

Carbon dioxide emissions are a byproduct of economic activity. These emissions come from the use of fossil fuels, such as using natural gas to create electricity or your car using gasoline. Carbon emissions fell dramatically during the COVID lockdowns because economic activity fell dramatically. That led to some on the Left fantasizing about “climate change lockdowns.”

But think about everything that uses electricity and how much transportation is involved in the economy. The Obama EPA claimed the power to regulate it all. The Biden administration’s electric vehicle mandate was based on the EPA’s power to regulate gasoline-powered cars out of existence.

The EPA’s Endangerment Finding rule was a huge bureaucratic power grab! It was never authorized by Congress. That’s why EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin called the rule the “holy grail of regulatory overreach.” Even the liberal Washington Post praised the repeal.

The Schumer Shutdown

The Trump administration is ending large-scale federal immigration enforcement efforts in Minnesota. One reason is because Democrats refuse to fund the Department of Homeland Security, and the media are providing cover for them.

CNBC and other left-wing outlets spun the shutdown by saying, “Senate Republicans failed to do what was necessary to keep the Department of Homeland Security open and fund FEMA, the TSA, the Coast Guard, and other critical agencies.”

Republicans didn’t cause the shutdown. The Homeland Security funding bill needed 60 votes to pass. Every Senate Republican voted for it, but Republicans don’t have 60 votes in the Senate.

Democrats caused the shutdown because every one of them, except for Sen. John Fetterman, voted against the Homeland Security funding bill. Democrats are refusing to fund many agencies that affect our national security and disaster relief funding.

You’re Being Played

Border Czar Tom Homan did something really smart Thursday. He announced that he was going to hold a press conference and he had a major statement to make. Several networks covered his remarks live.

Seizing the moment, Homan started by highlighting the major accomplishments of the immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota. But one accomplishment didn’t make it into most published reports. Homan said:

“[Federal immigration police] here in this state have located 3,364 missing unaccompanied alien children—children that the last administration lost and weren’t even looking for… Because of the leadership of President Trump, these children were located.”

In Governor Walz’s Minnesota and in Mayor Frey’s Minneapolis, more than 3,000 innocent children were “lost” in the bureaucracy. Who knows how many of them were in the hands of child predators or were forced into sex trafficking and slave labor?

Where are all the compassion radicals now? Why aren’t there mobs of screaming, blue-haired demonstrators outside the governor’s office and the mayor’s office?

Do you see how you’re being played?

The Left is using the “compassion card” and the “tolerance card” to shame you into thinking you’re a bad person for wanting foreign nationals illegally in our country to be removed from our country. These people allow children to be disappeared, and yet they’re trying to make us feel guilty.

Pinko Commies

Code Pink started in 2002 and quickly became the premier post-9/11 anti-war organization in America. Its activists were known for their pink clothes. Over time, they got involved in many other left-wing issues. For example, they interrupted confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominees screaming their support for abortion on demand.

The State Department just sent a report to Congress identifying Code Pink and other far-left organizations as front groups for communist China. They are directed and funded by Neville Singham, who is married to the founder of Code Pink.

Singham and his wife live in Shanghai, but their money and influence prop up much of the Left’s radical infrastructure. As we have reported, Singham’s network was behind the demonstrations against federal immigration police in Minneapolis.

A strong case can be made that Singham and his network are conducting what’s called a “color revolution” against the United States. Color revolutions involve foreign covert operations to generate mass protests and civil unrest to bring down the government of another nation.

They have been done all over the world, sometimes by our own government. The Obama and Biden administrations both tried using color revolutions to topple the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

There are forces trying to do it here.

Not So Great

Someone I have known for many years, retired Col. Richard Kemp, has made a shocking statement about the weakness of his own country, Great Britain. In a recent opinion piece, Kemp wrote:

“[Britain’s] munitions stocks – from rifle bullets and artillery shells to long-range missiles and drones – would see out only about a week of intensive fighting. Even the handful of soldiers and tanks we could put into the field would be out of ammo in a matter of days.”

Let that sink in.

Without the United States, NATO would be hollow. Yet every time President Trump tries to make NATO stronger, not only do many NATO members attack him, but the American Left and the media also attack him for “undermining our allies.”

Fighting Back

Attorney General Pam Bondi did something unusual last week. She was scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee and obviously knew that Democrats were not interested in conducting oversight. They would instead play to the cameras and try to “slice and dice” her to fire up their radical base.

Bondi was ready. Not only was she right that Democrats just wanted to fight, she also had a little factoid ready about each one of them.

For example, in one heated exchange, Bondi pointed out that a left-wing congresswoman from Vermont was among 113 Democrats who opposed a resolution condemning last year’s antisemitic attack on Jewish residents of Boulder, Colorado. The congresswoman stormed out of the hearing.

I know this is shocking news (NOT), but President Trump loved her fighting spirit!

Sometimes I criticize the lack of fight in the GOP, and I stand by that. But there are some notable exceptions. One of those is Senator Josh Hawley, who took on Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for aiding and abetting Somali corruption. Hawley said:

“This is the truth. This is what accountability looks like, of which you’ve had none. You helped fraudsters defraud your state and this government of $9 billion, and you got a fat campaign contribution out of it. You ought to be indicted.”

Good News

  • The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that illegal aliens are subject to mandatory detention without bond hearings while their deportation proceedings are underway. This is a major victory for the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts.
  • Federal and state authorities conducted nearly 8,200 inspections at truck weigh stations in 26 states last month. Five hundred truckers lost their licenses for being unable to read English. The Trump administration is making America’s highways safe again!
  • The Trump administration is moving aggressively to safeguard our food supply by preventing foreign adversaries from buying U.S. farmland.
  • Under pressure from the Trump administration, a leading children’s hospital in Minnesota is suspending transgender procedures on minors.
  • The Nielsen ratings just confirmed that Bad Bunny was a bad bet for the NFL. Nearly 10 million people changed the channel and refused to watch the Super Bowl halftime show.
