Democrats for Defeat
Tehran’s only hope is that their useful idiots in Congress can frighten the American people.
Many Democrats, including party leaders like Hakeem Jeffries, have been clear that America is going to lose this conflict with Iran. They claim there is no way we can possibly win a war with Iran. But their defeatist rhetoric is guaranteeing that this war will last even longer.
Tehran’s only hope is that their useful idiots in Congress can so frighten the American people that President Trump has no choice but to back down. And that’s exactly what the Democrat appeasers are demanding. It won’t be long before they start wearing Islamic Republic of Iran flag pins!
Remember That Video?
As you recall, a group of Democrat politicians released a video back on November 18th. They put it out all over social media where they knew American military men and women would see it. They thought they were being so cute when they “reminded” those brave Americans that they did not have to follow and, in fact, must not follow unconstitutional orders.
That’s a can of worms because it requires every soldier to be an expert on constitutional law. It’s obvious how such rampant second-guessing would destroy a military, but that’s what these Democrats did.
Fast forward to this past weekend. America is in a military conflict with Iran. Virtually every leading Democrat immediately went to the nearest TV camera and said, “This attack by Trump is illegal and unconstitutional!” It’s not, but that is their main argument.
So, according to their November video, the tens of thousands of U.S. sailors, airmen, and soldiers involved in what is, so far, an incredibly successful military operation are all following unconstitutional orders from their officers.
As far as I know, not one sailor, soldier, or airman has refused to do what he was ordered to do. Maybe the Democrats need to do another video. They definitely need new arguments!
Day 6
Yesterday, Israel announced the completion of its 13th wave of strikes against Iranian military and regime targets. Over the past 48 hours, Israeli jets took out “dozens of ballistic missile launchers that were ready to launch toward the State of Israel.”
The Israeli air force has destroyed more than 300 Iranian ballistic missile launchers over the past six days. And the regime’s much-hyped “underground missile cities” have “become its biggest weakness” as U.S. bombers turn them into tombs.
Israel is also focusing its firepower on the regime’s internal security forces, including the brutal Basij militia, in the hope of giving the Iranian people a chance to free themselves.
Meanwhile, there are signs of a possible armed rebellion against the regime. A significant percentage of the Iranian people are ethnic Kurds. While Iranians cannot own weapons, Kurdish forces outside of Iran do have weapons. There are unconfirmed reports that they may be preparing to launch incursions into Iran.
He’s No Churchill
When the hostilities between Israel, the United States, and Iran were first announced, Keir Starmer, Britain’s left-wing prime minister, rushed to reassure everyone that Britain had no part in the strikes against Iran. He even refused to allow the United States access to two critical bases—one in England and the other on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
This presented a serious logistical problem for the United States. Diego Garcia is half the distance to Iran compared to bases in the United States. And RAF Fairford is “the only European airfield specifically designed to support long-range U.S. heavy bombers such as the B-52 Stratofortress, B-1 Lancer and B-2 Spirit.”
But President Trump wasn’t taking “no” for an answer. It took Starmer a few days, but he finally relented and granted U.S. access to the bases. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office Tuesday, President Trump blasted Starmer’s weakness and waffling, saying, “This is not Winston Churchill that we’re dealing with.”
Rice Applauds
Former Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice is applauding President Trump’s decisive action against Iran. Rice told Fox News, “Iran has been at war with us for at least 47 years,” and Iranian roadside bombs are responsible for 75% to 80% of U.S. casualties in Iraq.
“If you can render Iran essentially incapable of military action against us and against our allies, that’s worthy,” Rice said. “And I think what they’re trying to do is to neuter Iran as a military power in the region.”
If Condoleezza Rice ever breathed a word that was anti-Trump, it would be headline news. Democrat senators would be running to the Senate floor citing her opposition to Trump. But her praise for President Trump will get very little attention.

Amazing Technology
Everybody I have talked to has been surprised to learn that we just fired a torpedo in war for the first time since World War II. Some people forgot torpedoes were still around. This may astonish you even more.
The torpedo fired by a U.S. Navy submarine is called the Mk.48 ADCAP torpedo. We have 1,046 of these torpedoes, and they are used on all U.S. submarines. They are also used by Canada, Australia, and the Netherlands. Here’s a brief description of the torpedo’s capabilities:
“Mk.48 and Mk.48 ADCAP torpedoes can be guided from a submarine by wires attached to the torpedo. They can also use their own active or passive sensors to execute programmed target search, acquisition, and attack procedures. The torpedo is designed to detonate under the keel of a surface ship, breaking the ship’s back and destroying its structural integrity. In the event of a miss, it can circle back for another attempt.”
It’s not surprising that another Iranian naval vessel just surrendered—to Sri Lanka.
I don’t know about you, but I sleep better at night knowing we have weapons like this!
All Hands On Deck!
I spent a good bit of the day Wednesday with some well-connected people who have private and probably the most reliable polling data out there. I promised to keep the details confidential, but what I am about to tell you isn’t a detail, and it shouldn’t surprise anybody at this point.
We’ve got a big problem. If the elections were held today, it is more than possible that we would lose both the House and the Senate. I can’t go much further than that, but the one thing showing up in virtually every poll, which to me is inexplicable, is a tremendous enthusiasm gap between the Left and the Right.
The percentage of radical leftists—pro-abortion extremists, anti-Israel fanatics, climate change nutjobs, open borders lunatics, crazy teachers’ unions, LGBTQ zealots, gun grabbers, socialists, communists, and America-haters—who say earthquakes won’t stop them from voting in November is about 15 points higher than those on our side.
I don’t know any way to describe this other than stupid.
If you really care about the conservative agenda, how in the world can you not be enthusiastic about voting this November? Any conservative who doesn’t vote is guaranteeing that nothing will get done on the issues they care about.
Now, I know it doesn’t have the allure of a presidential campaign. But for those who are willing to make significant investments in the future of our country and the future of your children and grandchildren, if you want to ensure that 2028 goes well, you need to invest in 2026.
Campaign for Working Families is my political action committee, and I have an issue advocacy organization, American Values Action, that can do a lot in the political arena. Donations to these groups are not tax-deductible.
Of course, American Values can do voter registration drives, and will be partnering with the James Dobson Family Institute to produce voter guides and take other actions that are permissible for nonprofit organizations.
The bottom line is that this is no time for complacency, and all of us can do something. But we cannot surrender the country to the neo-Marxist Left.
Iran, War, & The Islamic Messiah
Once again, military conflict is raging in the Middle East and the Holy Land. American and Israeli armed forces are in harm’s way, fighting the Islamic Republic of Iran. How should Christians react to the news? Read more in my latest public policy update for the James Dobson Family Institute.
