The radical Iranian regime’s decision to target shipping in the Strait of Hormuz has sent oil prices skyrocketing and has financial markets in a panic. President Trump understands the obvious risks involved and made sinking Iran’s navy a top priority.
 
To ensure the free flow of energy and international trade, President Trump asked our NATO allies to commit some of their naval assets to help us keep the Strait of Hormuz open. Well, our European NATO allies just abandoned the United States and President Trump. They rejected our request to help secure the Strait of Hormuz, even though 25% of Europe’s oil must pass through that strategic waterway.
 
This response reveals the truth about the NATO alliance.
 
For 77 years, the United States has guaranteed Europe’s security. Hundreds of thousands of American troops were stationed on the European “front line” during the Cold War with the Soviet Union.
 
We spent trillions of dollars helping to defend Europe, allowing them to build expansive socialist societies, providing their citizens free healthcare, free education, long vacations, and many other entitlements. Over time, Europe became dependent on “welfare” from the American taxpayer to the great detriment of their own militaries.
 
That’s why Donald Trump so infuriated European leaders when he repeatedly demanded that they start paying their dues to the NATO “club” we all belong to. And when the war in Ukraine broke out, it became immediately obvious just how weak Europe was.
 
Germany’s top army commander at the time said that the German army was “more or less empty-handed. The options we can offer the government in support of the alliance are extremely limited.” The best support Germany could muster was helmets.
 
After one year of fighting in Ukraine, the British government had to “sharply reduce” the transfer of weapons because their own stockpiles had become “threadbare” to the point of posing “unacceptable risks to the UK’s military readiness.” One military expert warns that the British military would run out of weapons and ammunition after just “a week of intense fighting.”
 
There have been repeated concerns about the supply of U.S. weapons during the current conflict with Iran. Why would the United States be at risk of running out of missile interceptors and other weapons? Because the Biden/Harris administration drained our stockpiles, providing weapons to Ukraine at the expense of our own military.
 
Despite the media’s reverence for the sanctity of the NATO alliance, America’s relationship with NATO has been rather rocky over the years. President Ronald Reagan faced furious resistance from our European “allies” when he tried to deploy U.S. nuclear forces to defend them.
 
During the late 1960s, Charles de Gaulle cut back France’s commitment to the NATO alliance and demanded that U.S. troops leave French soil. Our secretary of state responded, “Does that include American cemeteries?” referring to the 60,000 American soldiers who died liberating France and are buried there.
 
 
 
Not So Great
 
Britain appears to be all in on erasing … Britain. The British government recently announced that Winston Churchill’s image will be erased from British currency. This giant of history is being replaced with images of wildlife.
 
Recent polls have found that many young Brits today either despise Churchill or don’t know who Winston Churchill is. And the people in Britain who think they know the most about Churchill are the radical Islamists who regularly desecrate statues in his honor whenever they demonstrate in favor of “Free Palestine.”
 
The fighting spirit and commitment to the English-speaking world that Churchill embodied has long since been erased from modern Britain. The British Left and Britain’s growing Muslim population want Churchill erased because he was an unapologetic defender of Western civilization.
 
In his first speech before Parliament as prime minister of a nation at war, Churchill declared:
 
“You ask, what is our policy? I say it is to wage war by land, sea, and air. War with all our might and with all the strength God has given us, and to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.
 
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival.”
 
After the fall of France, he rallied the British people, saying:
 
“We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be; we shall fight on beaches, landing grounds, in fields, in streets, and on the hills. We shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for the moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, will carry on the struggle until, in God’s good time, the New World (America), with all its power and might, sets forth to the liberation and rescue of the Old.”
 
Today, we have Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Responding to Trump’s request for naval support, Starmer whined, “While taking the necessary action to defend ourselves and our allies, we will not be drawn into the wider war.” But Britain cannot avoid the “wider war” radical Islam is waging against the West.
 
Sadly, Winston Churchill no longer represents today’s not-so great Britain.
 
 
 
Democrats For Defeat
 
The reaction of the Democrat Party, the media, and the Left to the United States preventing Iran’s death-worshipping extremists from acquiring nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver them is unprecedented. Even former Clinton advisor Mark Penn is blasting the media for its pro-Iranian propaganda.
 
The conflict with Iran has been ongoing since 1979. We’re only on day 20 of this particular chapter. Yet every day, newspapers print stories that begin, “As Trump’s war in Iran drags on…” What?!
 
The U.S. military, working alongside Israel, is methodically obliterating Iran’s missile and nuclear capabilities. The regime’s leaders can’t walk down open streets because they are being tracked constantly. Their bunkers and command centers are being destroyed.
 
This is an unbelievable performance by the U.S. military under Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump!
 
Yet the media focus has been on alleged “surprises,” such as the temporary closure of the Strait of Hormuz, even though officials had anticipated this and planned accordingly. This is not the first time Iran has blocked the strait.
 
The Left reflexively opposes any projection of U.S. power unless it serves the interests of borderless globalism. Now, they’re trying to pressure Trump to stop before we have done everything that has to be done.
 
And I’ll guarantee you that the first time Iran fires another rocket, intercepts another ship, or a terrorist squad from Iran blows something up, these same people will scream, “Trump failed! He wasted billions of dollars and countless lives for nothing!”
 
There is one thing they cannot tolerate—a clear win for the United States in Iran. That would cause them to weep and flagellate themselves. They would see America’s victory as the biggest defeat for their cause, which is undermining America and Donald Trump by any means necessary.
 
 
 
Iran’s Enablers
 
A little reminder here is useful.
 
In 2015, the Obama/Biden administration negotiated a terrible nuclear deal with Iran. It wasn’t a treaty. Barack Obama refused to allow the Senate to vote on it. But his deal provided economic incentives to Iran without effective constraints on their nuclear ambitions.
 
As part of the deal, Obama unlocked billions in frozen Iranian assets. Airplanes loaded with pallets of cash were flown to the Iranians in the middle of the night, even as Obama administration officials admitted that the money would end up funding terrorism.
 
In 2018, Trump withdrew from that deal and imposed severe sanctions. As a result, the Iranian regime’s terrorism funding dropped dramatically.
 
But then Joe Biden lifted sanctions on Iran, giving the regime access to additional billions of dollars. And because money is fungible, Biden enabled the mullahs to fund Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist groups while advancing their ballistic missile and nuclear programs.
 
Administration officials under Obama and Biden, including Valerie Jarrett, Jake Sullivan, and Robert Malley, were huge apologists for Iran and proponents of appeasement. They all believed that Iran would eventually dominate the Middle East, and they were perfectly okay with that.
 
Now, Donald Trump is having to clean up the mess they made in the Middle East, and our military is dodging missiles made with money Obama and Biden gave Iran.
 
 
 
What About Kent?
 
As I am sure you have heard, top counterterrorism official Joe Kent resigned Tuesday in protest of the conflict with Iran. He claimed that Israel dragged Trump into the current conflict with Iran and that the radical Iranian regime posed no immediate threat to the United States.
 
A few years ago, Kent recognized the threat posed by Iran and seemed to be fully supportive of the president’s policy. If he so strongly disagrees now, I’m glad he resigned rather than undermine the administration from the inside. But while Democrats are hailing Kent as their latest anti-Trump hero, the media, as usual, are not giving you the whole story.
 
In his resignation letter, Kent cited his first wife, who served in the military and was tragically killed by an ISIS suicide bomber in Syria. She paid the ultimate price for our country. Kent alleged that his wife was murdered in a “war manufactured by Israel.”
 
His current wife worked for a media outlet founded by Max Blumenthal, who is anti-Zionist, anti-Israel, and highly critical of the U.S. alliance with Israel. Kent has already “coordinated a media blitz” with leading anti-Israel voices, including Tucker Carlson.
 
In recent months, administration officials felt that Kent was increasingly unreliable and likely a source of leaks. He was cut out of national security briefings about Iran and was on the verge of being fired when he resigned.
 
When President Trump appointed Kent, the Left went absolutely nuts. Now, he suddenly seems to walk on water, and no reporter will point out the hypocrisy.
 
 
 
Left-wing Lunacy
 
If you need another example of the Left’s utter lunacy, here it is: drag queens in Canada are raising money for “Palestine.” I have a suggestion—try putting on that show in Gaza.
 
The overwhelming majority of Palestinians follow a very severe form of fundamentalist Islam that completely outlaws the agenda and behavior of the drag queens and the larger LGBTQ alphabet soup movement.
 
While it’s easy to mock them, there is a logic here that I have mentioned before. There is one thing that unites radical Islamists and the LGBTQ crowd—they both want to see Judeo-Christian civilization destroyed. So, they will fight side by side until they accomplish their goal. Then, the radical Islamists will kill them all.
 
 
 
Protect Girls’ Sports
 
Voters in three states—Colorado, Maine, and Missouri—will have the opportunity to vote on ballot initiatives to protect girls’ sports from cheating boys. These commonsense measures enjoy strong support among the American people and expose the Left’s extremism.
 
These states are also key battlegrounds in the 2026 elections. Democrats are targeting two GOP seats in Colorado and one in Missouri. Republicans have to hold the Senate seat in Maine, and they are hoping to pick up a House seat in Maine and Missouri.
 
The Left has been using ballot initiatives on abortion and marijuana very effectively to drive certain voting blocs to the polls on Election Day. Conservatives should follow their example with ballot measures that protect our children from transgender insanity.
