Over the weekend, President Trump warned Iran that it had 48 hours to fully open the Strait of Hormuz or the U.S. military would start destroying Iran’s power grid. Also, more than 20 nations are now offering to “help” keep the Strait of Hormuz open. These developments got Tehran’s attention. Monday morning, President Trump posted a big update on Truth Social. He wrote:
 
“I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE COUNTRY OF IRAN, HAVE HAD, OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
 
"BASED ON THE TENOR AND TONE OF THESE IN DEPTH, DETAILED, AND CONSTRUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS … I HAVE INSTRUCTED THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR TO POSTPONE ANY AND ALL MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST IRANIAN POWER PLANTS AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR A FIVE-DAY PERIOD, SUBJECT TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ONGOING MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS.”
 
According to the Jerusalem Post, the United States is negotiating with Iranian parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, not the new “supreme leader,” Mojtaba Khamenei, who hasn’t been seen since the conflict started. Iran’s official state media outlet, denies any talks are taking place. And, of course, many in our media believe Iran.
 
One of the chief “benefits” of this conflict has been to confirm to the entire world just how much the Iranian regime was lying about its military capabilities. Even though Iran  failed in an attempt to hit our airbase on Diego Garcia with ballistic missiles, we now know they have increased their reach. Virtually every European capital is now within range of Iranian missiles.
 
Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said, “These missiles were not intended to hit Israel. Their range reaches the capitals of Europe—Berlin, Paris and Rome are all within direct threat range.”
 
Iran has also shown that it has been building layers of offensive weapons, the only purpose of which is to choke the world’s economies by cutting off the flow of oil in the Strait of Hormuz. If President Trump had not acted, the Koran maniac mullahs may well have succeeded in holding the world energy supply hostage.
 
 
 
Another American Victim
 
Another American citizen has been killed because of the Left’s open borders insanity under Joe Biden. Sheridan Gorman, a freshman at Loyola University in Chicago, was shot while walking with friends. A Venezuelan illegal alien, who entered our country in 2023, killed Gorman with one shot to her head.
 
Laken Riley was killed by an illegal alien from Venezuela. A 12-year-old girl in Houston, Texas, was murdered by two illegal aliens from Venezuela. Donald Trump warned repeatedly during Joe Biden’s presidency that Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, now in prison awaiting trial in the U.S., had opened Venezuela’s jails and sent its worst criminals into the United States.
 
Gorman’s murderer had been previously arrested in Chicago but was never deported. Why not? Because Chicago is a sanctuary city. Illinois is a sanctuary state. They will not cooperate with federal immigration police to deport any illegal aliens at all. And now Sheridan Gorman is dead because of this insane left-wing policy that puts criminal illegal aliens before American citizens.
 
I pray Sheridan Gorman’s family will not get kicked in the gut again as the media and the Left try to erase their daughter from our memory. Democrats and their media allies turned Renee Good and Alex Pretti—two left-wing radicals who attacked federal immigration police. They received nonstop media praise.
 
When these two violent episodes happened in Minneapolis, you couldn’t keep Democrat politicians quiet. They smeared federal immigration police as “Nazis.”
 
The media is the propaganda arm of the socialist Democrat Party and its radical agenda. All victims of violence are not equal. Your death only matters if it can be exploited to advance secularism, globalism and open borders.
 
Sheridan Gorman’s family said her faith was motivating factor in her life. Well, there’s the cherry on top for the Left—she was just another one of those “right-wing Christians.”
 
Sheridan Gorman was an American citizen walking down the street, while attending an American university with the expectation that her country would protect her. Joe Biden failed her. Governor Pritzker failed her. Mayor Brandon Johnson failed her.
 
Neither Pritzker or Johnson have issued a statement regarding Gorman’s murder, but her family did. Here is brief excerpt of their statement:
 
“What happened to Sheridan cannot be reduced to the idea of someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is not an abstraction. This is the loss of a daughter. The loss of a sister. The loss of a future filled with milestones that will now never come. Our family is forever changed…
 
"We cannot accept a world where moments like this become something people grow used to… Apathy is not harmless-it allows these moments to repeat. . . Sheridan deserved a full life. She deserved the future that was taken from her. We will not allow her to be remembered as just another story. She was extraordinary, and she will always be loved.”
 
 
 
The Party’s Direction
 
Many of New York City’s Jewish residents knew that Zohran Mamdani and his wife were bad news for them. I don’t throw the word “antisemite” around lightly, but they are both obviously antisemites. The couple that hates together stays together, I guess.
 
It’s not just rhetoric. It’s policy. One of the first things Mamdani did when he took office was to repeal executive orders that instructed the city to follow the widely accepted definition of antisemitism and banned city officials from discriminating against Israel.
 
He was the first mayor who refused to attend the installation mass of New York City’s new archbishop at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. But he promotes Islam nonstop.
 
When two wannabe jihadists tried to kill peaceful protesters demonstrating against radical Islamism, Mamdani condemned the protesters and said virtually nothing critical about the jihadists who tried to kill them. He also celebrated Ramadan with prisoners on Riker’s Island.
 
Every day we find out just how much his wife hates not just Israel but Jews. Some might be inclined to say, “Well, it’s left-wing New York City. This isn’t that significant.” That’s wrong. New York City is America’s most iconic city. It is overwhelmingly Democrat. And it says a lot about the direction of the Democrat Party.
 
Here’s another example.
 
Siebel Newsom, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife, smeared pro-life evangelicals after Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022. In a recently discovered interview, she said:
 
“They’re living in this silo, this evangelical, conservative silo that, ultimately, is just pulling us back as a country to a time and a place where we don’t deserve to be, and we’re not going to be. Because honestly, young women and fathers of daughters are awake now, and they’re woke, and they’re not going to let us go back.”
 
If a Republican governor’s wife said Muslims were taking the country back to a time and place we don’t deserve to be, we wouldn’t have to do research to find the comment. It would be everywhere. Every Republican would be asked if they agreed.
 
If Newsom wins in 2028, Siebel Newsom would be the next first lady. The rising Democrat Party hates Christians and Jews but loves Muslims and the LGBTQ crowd.
 
 
 
Trump Sends Reinforcements
 
The Schumer shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security continues. So, President Trump is doing what he can to help the Americans Democrats are holding hostage in long lines at the nation’s major airports. He sent federal immigration police to reinforce our airport police where they are under the most pressure.
 
Border Czar Tom Homan explained that the federal immigration police will guard exits, help manage the flow of lines and make public announcements so airport police can focus on screening procedures.
 
Democrats immediately attacked President Trump and smeared our federal immigration police officers. House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries said, “The last thing that the American people need are for untrained [immigration] agents to be deployed at airports all across the country, potentially to brutalize or in some instances, kill them.” This man lives in a dark world.
 
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) claimed that our federal immigration police would “only aggravate delays” by “interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting & even killing” them.
 
Meanwhile, Senator Peter Welch (D-VT) suggested Democrats might be willing to fund the Department of Homeland Security if President Trump negotiate with Democrats on some kind of amnesty plan.
 
So, once again, Democrats are moving the goal posts. This started out as a fight over reforms to certain enforcement methods. Now, they’re zeroing in on their real goal—amnesty for 15 million illegal aliens!
