Not too long ago, I addressed the question of freedom of religion, but for whom? It would appear that a totalitarian theocratic political belief system masquerading as a religion is granted more freedoms in Western society than the Judeo-Christian faith heritage that is the foundation of Western civilization. You can say what you wish, but the Ten Commandments are instrumental in the understanding of the rule of law in the West and elsewhere.

However, Marxist leftists despise the promotion and open public display of those ten simple maxims, commandments from the Judeo-Christian faith heritage God. Then again, why would the leftists not, since the ideals of secular humanism and atheism dominate Marxist leftist ideology? The left must degrade and disparage God, ya know, the Big “G”, in order to elevate government, with da little “g.” As Virginia Senator Tim Kaine stated last September, “rights are derived from laws and government, not from a Creator or God.” Sen. Kaine, you know, former Governor of Virginia, the home of the author of the Declaration of Independence, would further characterize and assert, “any view that rights come from God is a radical and dangerous notion.” Kaine even went so far as to compare the Natural Rights Theory of John Locke, adopted by Thomas Jefferson, to a perspective similar to the Iranian government, resulting in rights being “interpreted subjectively.”

Hmm, I think Kaine is referring to leftist interpretations such as that of the current Virginia Governor who doesn’t believe in the Second Amendment right of the American people. And for that matter, leftists interpret freedom of speech and expression to be “acceptable” speech or expression.

That brings us to the Marxist leftist interpretation of the Freedom of Religion, and the free exercise thereof. It appears, once again, that when the Christian faith runs contrary to the leftist ideological agenda, well, there is no freedom of religion, and certainly not the free exercise thereof.

Finland’s supreme court, not so much supreme in intelligence, recently handed down a 3-2 decision to convict a Bishop and a member of their Parliament for publishing a pamphlet explaining Christian theology about sexual differences. OK, what that means: they do not like the whole man and woman, two genders, Adam and Eve thing. Bishop Juhana Pohjola and MP Päivi Räsänen are facing fines and are under threat to have their challenged Christian beliefs and speech “removed from public access and destroyed.” Hmm, so who are the dystopian purveyors of censorship?

Finland MP Räsänen stated, “I am shocked and profoundly disappointed that the court has failed to recognize my basic human right to freedom of expression. I stand by the teachings of my Christian faith, and will continue to defend my and every person’s right to share their convictions in the public square.”

What MP Räsänen must realize is that, as Sen. Kaine affirmed, the interpretation of rights becomes subjective in the eyes of Marxist leftists. If an established truth, and I mean scientific truth, does not conform to the left’s ideological agenda, it is, in their mind, not a right you have to disagree with. If leftists say there are 60+ genders, then doggone so be it, and any divergence from that decree is punishable. If you quote the Bible, which has been around long before Karl Marx, well, you are a proponent of hate speech when it contradicts leftist “endowed” rights, ya know, the right to dismember babies in the womb or the right to gay marriage.

Then again, when one reads the Quran, it is replete with hateful rhetoric, which Islamic jihadists act upon, so who is going to determine that the Quran is hate speech? After all, they toss gay people off the roofs of buildings and stone women for adultery. If I recall, Jesus Christ forgave a woman of her sin of adultery, commanding her to go and sin no more.

But this is not just something happening far and away in Europe, where there is a growing pattern of anti-Christian speech repression and suppression. I mean, once upon a time, the great Christian thinkers and theologians came from Western Europe. America’s first Great Awakening was due to an English minister, George Whitefield. Now, England jails more people per day for alleged speech crimes, including imprisoning and prosecuting people for praying silently on public property. Yet in England, Islamic jihadists shout about their domination and encourage rape gangs, with no penalty.

Canada just recently criminalized reading the Bible. Yes, quoting scripture on marriage, sin, God’s word (Leviticus and Romans) on sexuality can be prosecuted as willful promotion of hatred. All of this was contained in Bill C-9, which should have been called C-4, since it is going to blow up the foundation of Christian faith. Yet in Canada, dare you say anything about a belief system that follows a known, admitted pedophile, who married a little girl at 6 and consummated with her at 9. Remember, in Islam, Mohammed is revered as the perfect example of a man. By today’s standards, he is nothing more than a murderous warlord, child sexual abuser, and deranged Jim Jones-style manipulator. Oh yeah, in Canada, saying those truths would be deemed hate speech. The Bible and the teachings, preachings of Jesus Christ and the Old Testament Prophets and New Testament Apostles are deemed hate speech because they do not conform to the leftist ideology, see Romans Chapter 12, verse 2.

Yes, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine was correct, to the Marxist left, rights are to be interpreted subjectively. And this is what happens when gubmint wit da “little g” seeks to overtake the Judeo-Christian heritage God, who has the “Big G.” The Declaration of Independence is quite clear, our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and property (pursuit of happiness) are endowed to us by the Creator, the Judeo-Christian faith heritage God, and we are celebrating 250 years of its existence. And the Constitution of these United States, our rule of law, enumerates the rights and freedoms of the individual American citizen.

Marxist leftists do not embrace our Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and certainly not our Judeo-Christian faith heritage because they are in conflict with Marxism, socialism, progressivism, and communism, along with their allies, Islamism. They demand that we subjugate ourselves to their ideological rights, in complete disrespect to our God-given individual rights.
