Abdul El-Sayed’s victory Tuesday in the Michigan Senate Democrat primary is historic – in a very bad way.  The race was closer than anticipated, but close only counts in the game of horseshoes.
 
Every leader of the Democrat Party establishment from Pelosi to Schumer endorsed Haley Stevens.  Outside groups poured $30 million into the race to try to stop El-Sayed.  It was the most expensive Democrat Senate primary in American history.  But he won anyway – narrowly – but he won.
 
El-Sayed did not seek, openly, the endorsement of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).  The word “socialist” does not sell as well in Michigan as it does in Manhattan.  But the DSA grassroots network was deployed all over the state, knocking on doors on his behalf.
 
All of the socialist leaders were celebrating yesterday.  Bernie Sanders, AOC, Mamdani and Marxist professors on every U.S. university faculty see the future looking more like Marx and less like Jefferson. That this is happening on our 250^th birthday makes it an even more bitter pill. 
 
The radical Islamists were on fire, too.  From Rep. Ilhan Omar to imams who lead dozens of radical American mosques see a future of “one nation under Allah,” not under the God of the Bible.  
 
This alliance of Marxists and Islamists will have their own day of reckoning down the road, but only after they have buried Judeo/Christian civilization first. 
 
 
 
Will the GOP Win Michigan in November?
 
The conventional wisdom is that it will be much easier for Mike Rogers, the GOP Senate nominee, to defeat El-Sayed this November.  Perhaps that is true, but it isn’t guaranteed. 
 
A Republican has not been elected to the senate from Michigan since the early 90’s.  This is Rogers’ second senate race.  He lost to Elissa Slotkin in 2024 by around 20,000 votes out of the over five million that were cast.  This race promises to be another “nail biter.” 
 
While Democrats had a vicious primary, they are already pledging to close ranks.  They know if they lose Michigan this November the odds of them taking control of the senate will be close to zero. 
 
 
 
What They Believe
 
Even though radical left-wing candidates are winning significant victories in Democrat primaries, there is still hesitation to call them what they are – philosophical Marxists.
 
They talk a good game about affordability and healthcare.  Many of them are good on camera.  They sell their poison with a smile.  Don’t be fooled. They are far outside the mainstream of America, but they intend to remake the country.  Trump as always “gets it.”  He says it clearly.  More Republicans need to join him.  More Christian leaders need to understand what is at stake for religious liberty.  Here are quotes from DSA leaders.
  
Frances Gill is a member of the DSA National Political Committee. Referring to America as an “empire,” Gill said, “The most important thing we can do is take that empire down from within.”
 
Amy Wilhelm, another DSA National Political Committee member, said, “The role of socialists … is really to facilitate the defeat of our own nation.”
 
Christopher Winston, a member of the DSA International Committee, posted this on social media, “I do not want to save America, let it rot.”

He also wrote, “Nobody wishes America’s demise more than we do.”
 
Mirah Wood, another member of the International Committee, wrote, “Amerikkka should be destroyed.”
 
Doing so, Wood said, was a “great and necessary project for humanity.” And, of course, she spelled America with the racist initials of the Klan, KKK instead of a C.
 
David Jenkins serves on the DSA Steering Committee. He said, “Our goal is liberation. Our goal is communism.”
 
These hate-filled communist revolutionaries are very open about their Marxist agenda and their plans to destroy America.
