Hillary Clinton is taking it on the chin today. The Associated Press story we mentioned in yesterday’s report exposing her pay-to-play scheme continues to dominate the news.

The front page of the New York Post has a great headline: “DOUGH NATION.” See it here.

The Washington Post editorial board blasted Hillary, writing:

“After promising to avoid any conflict or appearance of conflict, Mrs. Clinton left ample room for perceptions that access to the Clinton Foundation could enable access to the government. Foundation staff appealed to Mrs. Clinton’s staff on behalf of donors, including foreign ones… Impressions such as these are corrosive to national institutions.”

USA Today’s editors wrote: “The only way to eliminate the odor surrounding the foundation is to wind it down and put it in mothballs, starting today.”

In case you missed it, let me remind you of what the Associated Press discovered: “More than half the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money – either personally or through companies or groups – to the Clinton Foundation. It’s an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics challenges if elected president.”

If elected, Hillary will be the most ethically challenged president we have had in a very long time!

As Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch recently said, “It is impossible to tell where the Clinton Foundation ends and the State Department begins.” The “extraordinary proportion” of foundation donors who got access to the secretary of state is too great to be coincidental. But this is what the Clintons do best.

Do we really want to relive the fundraising scandals of the 1990s? Remember the Lincoln bedroom scandal? Who can forget the Buddhist monks handing over piles of cash to the Clinton campaign? There is a disturbing pattern of corruption with the Clintons.

We have a chance to end it on November 8th!

The Left Turns On A Dime

Think back a moment to the 2012 presidential debates. Ancient history, I know. But perhaps you recall the debate on foreign policy, in which President Obama mocked Mitt Romney for saying that Russia was our “biggest geopolitical foe.” Obama said at the time that the 1980s were “calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.”

Then-Secretary of State Hillary piled on, saying, “Russia has been an ally. They’re in the [Iran nuclear] talks with us, they have worked with us in Afghanistan and have been very helpful … in other ways. So I think it’s somewhat dated to be looking backwards instead of being realistic about where we agree…”

In 2010, while Hillary was trying to “reset” our relationship with Russia, she said, “One of the fears that I hear from Russia is that somehow the United States wants Russia to be weak. That could not be farther from the truth. Our goal is to help strengthen Russia.” (Mission accomplished, Hillary!)

The point of this walk down memory lane is to demonstrate how quickly progressives can abandon any position and turn on a dime when it suits them.

Not that long ago, Russia was an ally we were trying to strengthen. But when Donald Trump suggests that he can work with Russia, Democrats attack him as “Putin’s Puppet.” Suddenly, the left is eager to bring back the Cold War and fight the Russian bear!

Four years ago, Obama and Clinton were making Romney look like a warmonger when he warned about Putin’s ambitions. Today they are trying to make Trump look naive for thinking he can work with Russia.

Soros & Islamophobia

For some time now, I have been warning about the alliance between the left and radical Islamists. Almost nothing unites these two disparate groups except for their hatred of Judeo-Christian values and Israel. But as is so often the case with the left, it doesn’t take long to discover a link to George Soros.

One of the greatest frustrations of the Obama years has been the smothering influence of political correctness, especially when it comes to critical matters like counterterrorism and fighting radical Islam. New information, however, indicates this is not just the result of naive liberals.

Documents from Soros’ Open Society Foundation were hacked and recently published online. Among them is a January 2011 memo entitled, “U.S. Models for Combating Xenophobia and Intolerance.” That may sound innocent enough, but the title is very deceptive.

As Matthew Vadum explains, “The memo is also a character assassination roadmap that enlists the assistance of disreputable left-wing groups including Media Matters for America, Muslim Public Affairs Council, and the Southern Poverty Law Center… The 2011 strategy memo is a template for a well-funded smear campaign against critics of Islam.”

Once again, we see that the left is not interested in a reasoned, rational debate about radical Islam. It refuses to even utter the very words.

Instead, it dismisses the obvious threats of mass shootings, suicide bombings and random stabbings as “Islamophobia,” while telling us the real danger is climate change. This is delusional!

And George Soros is behind it all — funding the effort led by the left-wing Center for American Progress (CAP). The Center for American Progress was founded by John Podesta, former White House Chief of Staff under Bill Clinton, and chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Thanks to Soros’ largesse, CAP has produced reports attacking leading conservatives, including me, who dare to speak out against radical Islam. A CAP report released last year includes a chapter headlined: “Islamophobia Masquerading as Law Enforcement Counterterrorism Training.”

My friends, the radical left is using political correctness to take America hostage. It is trying to gag us and blind us, trying to shut down debate and prevent us from seeing reality. It is threatening our national security by ensuring that we do not have a serious conversation about doing what is necessary to defeat this growing threat to Western Civilization.

If elected, Hillary Clinton will do George Soros’ bidding. She has already vowed to increase Muslim immigration by 500%. She will put Obama’s open borders policies on steroids. Our country cannot afford four more years of this!

Identity Politics Over Performance

The Olympics are supposed to be a model of meritocracy — the pinnacle of sports talent. Olympism, the Olympic Charter states, “seeks to create a way of life based on the joy found in effort, the educational value of good example and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.”

Those principles were featured prominently throughout this year’s Games. Unfortunately, some in the media didn’t seem to notice. You can read more in my latest column at The Daily Caller.
