WHO Let the Truth out
The Chinese Communist Party must wake up every morning and thank its lucky stars for the U.S. media.
The Chinese Communist Party must wake up every morning and thank its lucky stars for the U.S. media. While the rest of the world rages at the regime for a virus that’s killed hundreds of thousands of people, America’s press corps only sees one villain: Donald Trump. That’s been an unexpected blessing for China, who knows the media’s red-hot hatred of the president will help undermine anything he does to hold them accountable. Fortunately for America, Donald Trump has had three and a half years of experience ignoring the press — and he’s not going to stop now.
If you thought President Trump had an impossible job before, it was a picnic compared to the pandemic. Americans are dying, the economy is crumbling, world organizations are taking China’s side — and the press seems intent on blaming the White House for all of it. Surely, New York Post's Michael Goodwin insists, despite their personal loathing of Trump, the media would concede that China is at least partially responsible for the coronavirus’s deaths and devastation. Think again. “For the Left, Trump and America are to blame. That’s where they begin, that’s where they end.”
Even now, as the president tries to hold the World Health Organization (WHO) accountable, the media is right there — undermining his every move. But that, Goodwin points out, is where they lose. Because this president is “hellbent on [facing off with China and its cronies], even as our nation’s media elites… undercut him.”
“No other living Republican would dare to face off with China if it meant also standing up to the [New York] Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and the establishment of both parties. If anyone else were president, China would… [have gotten] away with causing the most deadly pandemic in a century. And were it not for Trump, the WHO still would be a revered institution instead of being unmasked as China’s gofer. Indeed, it is only the United States’ leadership — and that means Trump — that gives all those other countries the backbone even to demand an investigation. Otherwise, they would fold in the face of the threats that Chinese leaders routinely issue to anyone who dares question whether the outbreak could have been stopped.”
This president doesn’t care if it’s politically incorrect to threaten the WHO’s funding. “It had one job,” as Secretary Mike Pompeo said, “to protect the world from a pandemic, and it didn’t…” In a pointed letter to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Trump lays out his case against the global watchdog, ticking off pages of evidence on the group’s negligence, “political gamesmanship,” and wholesale defense of China’s actions. If the WHO can’t “demonstrate independence” from the regime and commit to a complete overhaul, then the U.S., Trump warns, will have no choice.
“It is clear the repeated missteps by you and your organization in responding to the pandemic have been extremely costly for the world…” the president wrote. “I cannot allow American taxpayer dollars to continue to finance an organization that, in its present state, is so clearly not serving America’s interests. As wildly reckless as China’s cover-up was, they would have never succeeded in keeping this from the world if the WHO had acted.
"China knew for 51 days they had an outbreak,” Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) reminded listeners on "Washington Watch.“ "They had 3,000 cases before they said anything. They locked people in their apartments and left them to die. It spread to an epidemic. And then they knew they had a pandemic on their hands before they said anything. President Xi knew this for six days. They didn’t let people leave… and go anywhere else in China. But you could get on an international flight and go anywhere else other than China on the face of the earth.” And what did the WHO do? Nothing.
Of course, liberals are furious at Trump’s funding threat, because they claim that cutting dollars to the WHO will endanger lives around the world. Well, guess what? Lives were already endangered by the WHO when it decided to keep China’s secret about the virus. American taxpayers gave almost $900 million to Tedros’s group between 2018-19 — and today, tens of thousands of those taxpayers are dead because their investment couldn’t buy them even the barest of warnings. If anyone has a right to demand answers, it’s us — the country that gave the most — and has paid the dearest.

The Sex Ed Secrets Schools Don’t Want You to Know
It’s no wonder American students don’t know basic history — they’re spending 70 hours of classroom time studying something else: sex!
That’s just one of the astonishing revelations in FRC’s pamphlet, “Sex Education in Public Schools: Sexualization of Children and LGBT Indoctrination.” Cathy Ruse’s new release, which hits just in time for “Sex Ed for All” month, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the shocking content, agenda, and broad effort to keep this information from moms and dads. Tuesday, on "Washington Watch,“ she sounded the alarm that every parent needs to hear: "It’s not just New York. It’s not just California. It’s everywhere.”
We’re talking, she explains, about graphic — almost pornographic material. And while her pamphlet came with a content warning, the real irony is that most of the curriculum she covered for kids doesn’t. Not only are parents unaware about what’s being taught — they’re not being told where it’s being taught. Make no mistake, Cathy explains, this isn’t just a radical sexual ideology that’s popping up in health class. It’s in the hallways and on the calendar and in history class. “It’s spreading beyond sex ed class into the whole environment of the school.”
“And that includes things like transgenderism, born in the wrong body, the lessons of the LGBT crusade, which has really become the heart of sex ed lessons today. So [we’re] fighting on two fronts… because it’s not only the sex ed classes, but it’s also the policies” that are permeating education.“
Of course, that’s what we should expect when the main providers of this content are groups like Planned Parenthood and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). "These are powerful, wealthy, and in some cases, international pressure groups that are using sex ed to push a political agenda. And they’re even candid about it. They’re not even shy about that anymore… It’s not about education anymore. It’s about promoting social justice warriors. It’s about gender ideology. It’s even about eradicating white privilege… It’s indoctrinating them and using sex education as the tool to reach them. And it’s all behind parents’ backs.”
But there are plenty of things parents can do. Cathy details a lot of them in her brochure, but the biggest advice she can give any mom and dad is this: We need to exercise the power we have. There are tools parents don’t even realize they can use to protect their children. Find out what those are by reading Cathy’s research — and then sharing it with other families. The time to act is now.

New Republicans Help Labor over Born-alive
California conservatives haven’t exactly been riding a wave of great news lately, but last week’s special election was a victory everyone can savor. Former Navy fighter pilot Mike Garcia (R) stunned the media with a landslide victory outside Los Angeles, flipping the seat, and joining Tom Tiffany (R-Wisc.) as the House's newest members. Now, barely hours into their new jobs, the two men aren’t just giving House Republicans a shot in the arm — but their pro-life plans too!
Tiffany and Garcia had barely put their hands down from their congressional swearing-in Tuesday when they set to work chipping away at the liberal agenda. As House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) points out, the GOP didn’t just put two more Rs in their column, they also added two champions to their unborn crusade. Garcia, who campaigned as “pro-life without exception,” and Tiffany, who already had practice voting for born-alive protections in Wisconsin, made one of their first official acts signing the Republicans’ discharge petition.
“This is a really big deal,” Steve told me on "Washington Watch.“ While New York and other states think it’s just fine to kill a newborn and call it abortion, House Republicans are fighting to give full protection to babies who were born alive. ”[Speaker] Nancy Pelosi [D-Calif.] doesn’t want to bring this bill to the floor. So we have one tool that’s rarely used in Congress called the discharge petition. And what it means is if 218 members of Congress sign on to that, then even though Nancy Pelosi doesn’t want it to come the floor, it automatically comes to the floor for a vote.“ Why is this so important, he went on? "Because we now have — with today’s action, [205] signatures on this discharge petition. That’s how close we are — the closest probably any pro-life bill has ever come to being forced onto the floor over the pro-abortion speaker.”
Of course, Steve pointed out, the news that Republicans actually flipped a seat from in California for the first time since 1998 was “earth shattering.” “The media didn’t never reported it, because they don’t want this narrative to go out [that] we can get the House back in November… and fire [Nancy Pelosi].” But even better than that, he explained is that both men — Garcia and Tiffany — made this born-alive effort a priority. “It’s a major victory for the pro-life community that this has now become a rite of passage, that as soon as you get sworn in as a Republican member of Congress in a special election, the first thing you want to do is sign that discharge petition to protect life. And they both did it today. It was it was great to see that commitment to life by these two new members, including a Republican member of Congress from Los Angeles.”
As a lot of us have argued all along, there’s no reason for this to be a partisan issue. Extending the most basic rights to a child who survives an abortion is a matter of human dignity. And many Americans — Steve included — think it will be one of the big defining issues in November.
“Joe Biden has taken the complete pro-abortion position. He’s against this born-alive act. President Trump’s been a great champion, as we all know. He wants to sign this bill. And so, number one: we’ve got to keep President Trump in office. But we also need to get a Republican House. And I think we will…” Americans are tired of Democrats in battleground states who campaign on things like life and guns — and then they get to Washington and can’t even stand up for life in even the most basic way — after the baby’s born.
To almost every American but the liberals in Congress, this is a consensus issue. “A majority of people who define themselves as ‘pro-choice’ think it’s wrong to kill a baby after it’s born alive,” Steve explains. “And most of the most questions I get on this, Tony, is why do you need a law to do this? Because people think it’s already illegal. I mean, to me, it’s murder… And yet in some of these states like New York, it’s legal. And so we have a chance to make it illegal. And, you know, I’ve been a champion of this bill since [Rep.] Ann Wagner [R-Mo.] filed it. And we’re one step closer today with this action.”

FRC's End Birth Day Abortion campaign is still going — and since the coronavirus postponed our baby hat delivery to Capitol Hill, there are still opportunities to participate!
