Millions of people thought that if they voted for a Democrat like Joe Biden they were defeating avowed socialists like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. But it turns out it was the exact opposite. Joe Biden wouldn’t fight the Taliban, so it’s no surprise that he’s unwilling to fight left-wing radicals in Congress.

President Biden went to Capitol Hill Friday to negotiate a truce between the warring factions within his party over the $1.2 trillion physical infrastructure bill and the $3.5 trillion “human infrastructure” bill. Biden and Speaker Pelosi were both humiliated with failure.

Pelosi had promised “moderate” Democrats that there would be a vote on the physical infrastructure bill last Monday. But progressive demands forced her to reschedule the vote to Thursday and then to Friday.

Well, no vote happened at all because the so-called “Progressive Squad” refused to give an inch unless the $3.5 trillion bill is passed as they want it, including with massive subsidies for abortion on demand. There are other outrageous items on the progressive wish list, including a massive expansion of the IRS and billions of dollars for illegal aliens.

Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) are holding firm, but they are being threatened by left-wing activists, just as the left threatened and harassed conservatives during the Kavanaugh hearings and after last year’s Republican National Convention.

Intimidation is a well-known part of the left’s playbook. We’ve got socialists elected in Congress now, just as there were National Socialists elected in 1930s Germany. And there are street thugs harassing people now if they don’t fall in line, just like 1930s Germany.

Protestors have targeted Sen. Manchin’s houseboat in Washington, and Sen. Sinema was even harassed while trying to use the ladies’ room. Multiple people followed Sinema into the women’s restroom, including an illegal immigrant and a man. Just another sign that the left is in the toilet!

Here’s what worries me. I don’t see how Democrats can allow the failure of one or both pieces of legislation. It would be a colossal defeat that would demoralize their socialist base.

Nancy Pelosi has set a new deadline around Halloween to get it done. That’s an appropriate time to pass these bills because they are full of ghouls and monsters, and will be a real nightmare for taxpayers and the economy.

In the meantime, we’re doing everything we can to convince Senators Manchin and Sinema to hold the line against the radical left.

Containing Communist China

In recent days, communist China has sent a record number of military aircraft into Taiwan’s airspace. More than 150 fighter jets and bombers from the People’s Liberation Army Air Force have entered Taiwan’s air defense zone since Friday night. The latest sortie of 52 planes occurred yesterday.

The goal of these incursions is to demoralize the Taiwanese into making a separate peace with Beijing, just as Hong Kong has done. Communist China’s state propaganda outlets are very clear about that.

A recent editorial declared that the military flights were sending “a clear and unmistakable declaration of China’s sovereignty over the island.” The editorial also blasted Taiwan as “an evil force the mainland must crush.”

I wonder if General Mark “Thoroughly Modern” Milley’s counterpart in communist China has given him a courtesy call assuring him he should not take these flights too seriously, that China isn’t planning to start a war. I’m sure Milley is staying close to his phone so he doesn’t miss that call. NOT!

Meanwhile, there are reports that, after being out for weeks, the electricity has finally been restored at Bagram Air Force Base, and Chinese military planes are landing and taking off at the facility that once saw 100,000 U.S. soldiers move through it.

There’s no doubt that Beijing must smell the stench of weakness that emanates every day from the Oval Office. If communist China launches a crushing blow against Taiwan, it will be traced straight back to the pitiful spectacle we witnessed in Afghanistan and to the pitiful spectacle we are witnessing at the border.

Biden is demonstrating to the world that he won’t defend our interests abroad nor at home. It would be foolish to assume our enemies haven’t taken notice.

Fauci’s Follies

I’ve known Anthony Fauci for years. I worked with him during the Reagan Administration, and he was a problematic bureaucrat even then. He is nothing more than a political hack with authoritarian impulses who is doing tremendous damage to the public health agencies of our nation.

New studies are coming out all the time on COVID. But what’s notable is how few of them are American studies. Where is all the money at the CDC going? Well, some of it went to the Wuhan lab that created the virus!

On CNN Sunday, Fauci was asked whether “immigrants and tourists” were contributing to the spread of COVID. He wasn’t asked about the massive surge of illegal aliens at the southern border, just “immigrants and tourists” seemingly referring to people who come in legally and must prove they aren’t infected in order to do so.

Of course, Dr. Fauci said it was ridiculous to blame “immigrants and tourists.”

Your 12 year-old going to school is a big threat, but 1.5 million people walking into America unmasked and unvaccinated, and being bused and flown all over the country apparently has nothing to do with the spread of the virus.

This is truly a remarkable virus!

But if you’re a suburban American family and not everyone has had two, three or who knows how many shots, you’re the problem.

But Fauci wasn’t done. During an interview with CBS, he said it was “too soon to tell” whether he could give the green light to celebrate Christmas with friends and family.

Sorry, Dr. Fauci, but you’re not in charge of Christmas! You don’t get to tell us when we get to gather with our family to celebrate the birth of our Savior. No one elected you! No appointed you dictator!
