In 2019, actor Jussie Smollett claimed he was beaten on a bitterly cold winter night by Trump supporters in Chicago shouting, “This is MAGA country.” His improbable story was immediately embraced by the leftist media, Hollywood and by leftist politicians including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

They gleefully used the alleged crime to smear Donald Trump and conservatives, and to condemn America as racist, bigoted and irredeemable.

Thursday, a multiracial jury found Smollett guilty of lying. He actually paid two Nigerian men to fake a hate crime at a time when racial tensions were already high.

I don’t agree with Al Sharpton on anything. But in 2019, referring to the attack on his “friend and brother Jussie Smollett,” Sharpton declared, “The guilty must face the maximum.” On that point Reverend Al and I agree: Smollett should get the maximum!

Once again, a jury of average Americans proved that they’re far better than our leftist elites who are so eager to believe the worst about America. Will any of the prominent people who embraced Smollett’s lie apologize to us? I’m not holding my breath.

It’s worth noting that there was no rioting or mass protests in Chicago after the verdict. It seems that many black Americans long ago realized Smollett was a liar. Only the Marxist, anti-police Black Lives Matter organization still supports him.

While Biden and other race baiters constantly stoke racial fears, most minority Americans know that the challenges they face every day aren’t from white supremacists roaming the streets.

Black children are afraid to go to school because of drug dealers on their streets. Businesses don’t open in black communities because of the gangs that control whole neighborhoods. More minorities die at the hands of petty thugs than rogue police.

Now that this fiasco is over, I hope the people of Chicago will be more receptive to conservative solutions like school choice, the restoration of families, the end of abortionists targeting black babies and a return to law and order.

Hate America First

As the former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Joe Biden knows the law. As a former prosecutor, Kamala Harris knows the law. But they are always eager to smear and condemn people before the evidence has been thoroughly examined and before the accused has had a chance to defend themselves.

That’s dangerous, irresponsible and totally unacceptable!

In Smollett’s case, there were no white, Trump-supporting bigots anywhere to be found. The only bigots were Jussie Smollett and the leftists who embraced him! They eagerly used his lies to smear all conservatives and to condemn America as a racist nation.

But this is what the left does. Last year, Joe Biden smeared Kyle Rittenhouse as a white supremacist. The entire left-wing media/political complex smeared Nick Sandmann as a racist.

A few months ago, Biden and Harris ran to the microphones to condemn a couple of Border Patrol agents who were trying to keep illegal aliens out of the country. Biden insisted that they would “pay” for their unacceptable behavior, which Harris said evoked images of slavery.

Pay for what? They did nothing wrong, and were simply doing their jobs, which is a lot more than can be said of Joe Biden or “Border Czar” Harris.

Even though many hate crimes crumble under examination, many leftists are happy when they hear about hate crimes because it fits their warped narrative that America is “systemically racist,” thoroughly rotten to its core and has been ever since its founding.

That’s what the “hate America movement” is all about. That’s what the 1619 Project is all about. That’s what critical race theory is all about. It’s insane, but leftists grab onto anything they can to prop up this false narrative.

Just like the left had “convicted” Nick Sandmann and Kyle Rittenhouse of their alleged racism, Marxist professors and groups like Black Lives Matter have already “convicted” America of its “systemic racism.” Now they are eager to complete the “execution” of the United States of America.

That so many hateful leftists are so invested in stoking racial discord is a sobering thing to ponder. For the sake of our nation, they must be defeated!

Undermining Democracy

The New York City officials just approved a new ordinance allowing 800,000 non-citizen, legal residents to vote in local elections. Democrat cities all over the country are considering similar ideas, and some already allow it.

Why would they do this? There’s no danger of a GOP takeover in New York City. They’re doing this for one reason in my view. They want to make it easier to cheat in elections.

Nearly one million non-citizen immigrants will now be allowed to vote in local elections, but somehow they’re supposed to be prevented from voting in federal elections?

These cities won’t even purge dead people from their voting rolls! And Democrats don’t want illegal aliens purged from the voting rolls either! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

This is just one more example of the left undermining our elections, undermining the rule of law and undermining democracy in America.

And think about the timing. Are we really supposed to believe it’s just a coincidence that they’re doing this as Biden has let two million illegal immigrants into the country in the past 10 months?

Undermining Sovereignty

Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) has introduced legislation in Congress to cut off funding to the United Nations after it was discovered that various U.N. entities are helping illegal immigrants violate our border. They are giving them $400 debit cards to make travel to the United States easier.

Think about that. An international organization that wants to govern the world someday is subsidizing the violation of our sovereignty — and you’re subsidizing it!

If we had a real president, all funding to the U.N. would end until this program to undermine our sovereignty ended.

Another Radical Nominee

You can tell crime is a growing issue in America because Joe Biden’s White House is panicking. Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed earlier this week that there was a major coordinated federal response to assist local law enforcement agencies.

There’s just one problem: The National Sheriffs Association said it’s not happening. In a statement Wednesday, the group said, “We are unaware of any planned, orchestrated, or cohesive response by the federal government.” Meanwhile, Democrat allies of the president deny that there is a crime problem.

But Thursday was particularly telling. While they’re spinning a false narrative to the media, all 50 Senate Democrats voted to confirm a radical left-wing activist as the next federal prosecutor for Massachusetts.

Rachael Rollins is like a lot of Soros-funded district attorneys — she’s pro-criminal. The first thing she did when she took over the DA’s office in Boston was issue a list of 15 crimes she would no longer prosecute, including shoplifting, trespassing, malicious destruction of property, drug possession and resisting arrest!

And this is Biden’s ideal federal prospector?! By the way, she apparently has a problem with the First Amendment too.

• The Alabama Association of School Boards withdrew its membership from the National School Boards Association in protest of its outrageous letter calling concerned parents “domestic terrorists.”

• Hundreds of mathematicians and scientists are protesting California’s new “woke” math curriculum.

• A Dallas hospital clinic that provided transgender “treatments” to children recently shut down.

• A Texas school board member who doxed and harassed parents opposed to critical race theory resigned this week under pressure.

• Progressive condescension is offending many Hispanics.
