Madison Cawthorn Challenged
This is an assault on free speech and free assembly, not to mention common sense.
The left is gearing up a major effort to disqualify conservative candidates from the ballot in this year’s election. The first shot in this “insurrection hoax” was fired yesterday in North Carolina.
Left-wing lawyers filed a challenge against Rep. Madison Cawthorn’s candidacy with the North Carolina State Board of Elections alleging that his participation in the “Save America Rally” on January 6, 2021, violated the 14th Amendment and “aided the insurrection.”
This is an assault on free speech and free assembly, not to mention common sense! This challenge should be immediately dismissed, but who knows what the bureaucrats on the North Carolina State Board of Elections will do.
Left-wing Lies
As you know, the Supreme Court heard arguments Friday on President Biden’s vaccine mandate in an emergency hearing. We were shocked as we reviewed the arguments Friday afternoon.
The three far-left justices — Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor — made obviously false statements about the virus. And they used their false statements to justify support for Biden’s vaccine mandates.
Justice Sotomayor said that 100,000 children are hospitalized in serious condition with COVID, adding that “many are on ventilators.” My friends, that’s just not true. A hundred thousand children haven’t been hospitalized during the entire course of the pandemic.
Sotomayor also claimed that the Omicron variant was just as deadly as the Delta variant. But everyone should know that is simply not the case. Even Dr. Anthony Fauci, who rarely misses an opportunity to scare the public, has acknowledged for weeks that Omicron is less severe.
Justice Kagan said that vaccines are the best way to prevent the spread of COVID. I wish that were true, but it isn’t. In fact, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky admitted in August that “what [the vaccines] can’t do anymore is prevent transmission” of the virus.
And Justice Breyer claimed that there were “750 million new COVID cases” on Thursday. That’s impossible because there are only 330 million people in the United States.
In a big nation like ours, there will always be serious differences of opinion. That’s to be expected. But we can’t have different facts, even if you’re a liberal Supreme Court justice. I think Justice Sotomayor should recuse herself for incompetence.
Of course, Big Media completely ignored these shockingly faulty claims. That’s not surprising given how the media have grossly distorted the facts. And we know that liberals are more likely to exaggerate the risks from COVID, mainly because of Big Media’s hype.
But one thing is clear: The liberal justices went into this major case majorly misinformed. It’s a clear example that we are living in two different worlds. One is based on reality, and other is the left’s world that is often devoid of facts.
To suggest that Omicron is just as deadly as Delta is just as outlandish as saying that voter ID laws are the equivalent of Jim Crow-era voter suppression. (See next item.)
To suggest that 100,000 children are hospitalized in serious condition is just as outrageous and untrue as claiming that communist China is just a competitor and not our enemy, or that a man is a woman.
Yet this nonsense is being served up every day by the left and its media allies.
Georgia On Biden’s Mind
Joe Biden is heading to Georgia today to rally support for his plan to nationalize all election laws and prevent the election reform that is happening at the state level. He’s expected to deliver a major speech accusing the Republican Party of denying voting rights to millions of Americans.
It’s a continuation on the theme of his outrageous January 6th remarks suggesting that conservatives are a threat to the country. Biden and other Democrats are saying that election integrity laws in the states threaten democracy and the concept of free elections in America.
Their demagoguery on voting rights is obscene! They are telling millions of minority Americans that the party of Lincoln is trying to deny them their right to vote. It is impossible to come up with a greater threat to the unity of the country than this big lie.
But get used to it. This will be their campaign theme in 2022. A top White House official told Politico, “We are doubling down, kicking it into another gear, we are going right to the belly of the beast, or ground zero, for voter suppression.”
Really? “Ground zero for voter suppression” is a big claim, but totally devoid of the facts. Georgia’s new voter integrity law is less restrictive than many liberal states like Delaware and New York.
I suspect it won’t be long before Biden suggests that Republicans want to put black Americans back in chains. Oh, wait — he already did that!
Voter IDs laws are overwhelmingly popular and do not result in voter suppression. Limiting the use of drop boxes, which Georgia never used before the pandemic, is not voter suppression.
But if you’re looking for extreme voter laws, look no further than New York City, where the so-called “moderate” new mayor just endorsed the idea of allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections. That’s extremely unpopular, and proves there’s no such thing as a “moderate Democrat” anymore.
McCabe Is Coming For You
Thank God Donald Trump fired Andrew McCabe from his top post at the FBI. The former deputy director was all in on the Russia collusion hoax, but his delusions are far worse than anyone ever imagined.
McCabe spoke last week at a forum hosted by the University of Chicago. He was there to offer his perspective on the events of January 6, 2021.
Like Kamala Harris who compared January 6th to 9/11, McCabe alleged that the Capitol rioters “share many of the same characteristics” of Islamic extremists. He also parroted the outrageous claims of Attorney General Merrick Garland that “political violence” is occurring in school board meetings and local elections around the country.
It’s important to understand what McCabe is doing here. He’s making the argument that there is a widespread domestic terrorism originating on the political right that justifies a massive crackdown by the Deep State.
He said we needed a “rapid and complete response by law enforcement” at every level, adding that the FBI is “reallocating counterterrorism resources to increase their focus on right-wing extremism.”
But McCabe said it wasn’t enough to focus on the “fringes of the right-wing movement.” He said that the “mainstream” conservative movement had to be investigated because:
“They didn’t assume [on January 6th] that that group of people — business owners, white people from the suburbs, educated, employed — presented a threat of violence, and now we know very clearly that they do.”
So, there you have it. The left’s profile of a national security threat to the country is a white, suburban, educated business owner. Comments like this explain why so many Americans now see the FBI as “Biden’s personal Gestapo.”
A Tale Of Two Senators
After months of delay, Senators John Thune of South Dakota and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin announced that they would seek reelection. This should improve the GOP’s chances of taking back the Senate, since the party won’t have to defend two more open seats.
But the two senators could not be more different, and their contrasting leadership styles demonstrate the stark choice facing the party as it moves forward.
Ron Johnson was a successful businessman who came to Washington largely focused on economic issues. But he was transformed by what he found here and by just how insane the left had become.
Johnson surprised many observers by stepping up and leading the charge against the Russian collusion hoax, the left’s gross abuses of power, and the January 6th insurrection hoax. He is one of the few conservative senators I can recall who has become better and tougher after coming to the DC Swamp.
Which brings me to Senator Thune, who is being groomed as the next Senate GOP leader after Mitch McConnell.
When was the last time you read about Sen. Thune leading the charge on any values issues or really any issue at all? Can you think of any major accomplishments Senator Thune has achieved in his 24 years in Congress? I can’t.
Thune comes from a very conservative state. Yet, he appears to be oblivious to the major struggle we are in for the future of our country.
Campaign for Working Families will fully support Sen. Johnson’s reelection campaign. I strongly encourage all conservatives to stand with him.
As for Thune, he’s better than a Democrat, but I will leave it to the GOP establishment to raise the money to reelect him. There’s no reason for conservatives to invest our resources in politicians who don’t appear to be fully invested in fighting for a conservative/populist vision and who are unwilling to get into the arena and actually “throw a punch.”
