For years now, left-wing ideology has been infecting our Pentagon, the officer corps and our military academies. For example, in the middle of the latest showdown with Russia, the Pentagon had time to issue a statement declaring that “diversity, equity and inclusion are necessities in the U.S. military.”

Radical professors in university faculty lounges might be applauding, but I guarantee you that Vladimir Putin is laughing at us.

Meanwhile, how are we doing in the warfighting department? As we know, there were extremely questionable decisions made in Afghanistan. The Taliban is back in control, so it’s impossible to say we “won” that war, even though our troops won virtually every battle. And Iran now controls much of Iraq.

A few years ago, we had a string of naval accidents that resulted in top officers losing their commands. Among other things, we discovered that naval academy graduates didn’t know how to navigate ships without sophisticated technology that could be hacked or taken out in wartime. John Paul Jones would be horrified!

I was deeply disturbed to learn that in recent wargames between United States and communist China over Taiwan, we lose every time. Is it because communist China has had a major military build-up? Partly, yes.

But it’s also because our politically correct Pentagon is too busy teaching about “white rage” or fretting about climate change. Incredibly, it’s spent 6 million manhours on this nonsense last year alone!

At our top war college today, future military officers were subjected to a lecture from a radical French professor. This guy thinks the way America wins the future is to give up capitalism and embrace socialism.

The so-called “leaders” at the Pentagon who are pushing this junk are not worthy of the brave men and women they lead. No wonder our armed forces are struggling to meet recruiting goals under Joe Biden.

If Republicans retake one or both houses of Congress in 265 days (Yes, I am counting!), one of the first things they must do is clean out the growing leftist poison that is polluting the American military.

The GOP’s Fed Fight

The Senate Banking Committee was scheduled to vote Tuesday on five Biden nominees to the Federal Reserve Board. But Republicans are so concerned about the nominees that they boycotted the committee meeting, denying a quorum so they could not be voted out to the Senate floor for confirmation.

Unless you work on Wall Street or run a bank, I doubt you spend much time thinking about the Federal Reserve. The “Fed” regulates U.S. banks and controls the money supply. It has a “dual mandate” to support the economy — achieve maximum employment and maintain stable prices.

So, if the Federal Reserve raises interest rates, as it is planning to do, it will affect you if you have credit card debt or plan to finance a large purchase like a house or a car soon.
But that’s not what triggered Tuesday’s big dispute over Biden’s nominees.

Senate Republicans are particularly concerned about Sarah Bloom Raskin, the wife of Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, who led impeachment efforts against Donald Trump.

Mrs. Raskin has written extensively about her belief that the Federal Reserve should be fighting climate change. What in the world does climate change have to do with banks and a stable economy? Nothing really.

The debate over climate change is a policy argument that should be decided by our elected representatives in Congress. None of the members of the Fed are elected by the American people.

But Mrs. Raskin wants to tell banks, “You’re going to be audited for your impact on climate change. You’re going to earn demerits for every loan you give to a company that contributes to climate change.”

In other words, it’s just another leftist effort to defund and shutdown the American energy industry. That may sound insane to most Americans, but that’s exactly what the left intends to do.

Remember Saule Omarova? Joe Biden nominated her to a key banking regulatory post. Thankfully, her nomination failed because she was also all in on bankrupting energy companies in the name of climate change.

This goes back to Barack Obama wanting to bankrupt coal companies, causing your electricity rates to “necessarily skyrocket.” (His words, not mine.) It’s the same left-wing insanity that made Europe dependent on Russian energy! But now we’re doing it to ourselves.

It also demonstrates yet again the left’s total commitment to politicizing and controlling everything. They destroyed the Boy Scouts. They’ve badly hurt professional sports. They’re politicizing the military.

Now they’re putting up nominees for the Federal Reserve who want to bankrupt the American energy industry.

Signs Of Hope

The intense wave of anger and frustration with arrogant and out-of-touch school board officials slammed into San Francisco Tuesday. Three radical school board members were recalled by votes of 72%, 75% and 78%.

Just to be clear, there’s no chance that Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco is going to elect a conservative school board. But the three ousted board members were so Marxist that even the left-wing mayor of San Francisco called for their removal.

While students were banned from their classrooms, these board members pushed “really important issues” like renaming schools after progressive heroes instead of real heroes such as Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

Once again, Donald Trump was right. He warned that the left wouldn’t be satisfied with toppling Confederate monuments. After all, the whole point of the 1619 Project and critical race theory is that Washington and Jefferson were evil, and the way to “fundamentally transform America” is to begin by erasing our history.

But if elements of the left’s insanity can be stopped in San Francisco of all places, it’s certainly a sign of hope.

Psaki Goes Full AOC

During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked to explain why anti-Asian hate crimes skyrocketed more than 300% in Joe Biden’s first year in office. Psaki did her best AOC impersonation by blaming the attacks on Donald Trump. She said:

“We’ve seen this rise, unfortunately, because of hate-filled rhetoric and language around the origins of the pandemic. And that is something that Asian Americans across the country have been feeling.”

That is total garbage! Attacks on Asians taking place in liberal urban cities are overwhelming perpetrated by black men who are often repeat criminals, drug addicts and mentally disturbed.

But Psaki wants us to believe that when Trump called the coronavirus the “China virus,” these minority men were all glued to Trump’s Twitter feed or they were watching Fox News. Call me skeptical.

I never expected to be making this statement so soon, but Psaki’s remark is dumber than AOC’s comment blaming the crime wave on an expired child tax credit!
