The left’s love affair with face masks was dealt a fatal blow Monday when a Trump-appointed judge ruled that the CDC exceeded its authority by requiring masks on airplanes and public transportation. This decision certainly took long enough, but it couldn’t come at a better time.

This ruling comes just as we’re seeing more and more evidence that the left cannot give up its “pandemic super powers.” Left-wing politicians in Philadelphia just reinstated the city’s mask mandate. Some colleges are ordering them back, too.

Needless to say, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth among leftists furious with the freedom-friendly ruling.

By the way, have you seen the public service ads urging everyone to get their flu shots? I don’t know why the ads are running in April, but the happy, dancing people who are so thrilled to get their flu shots in the ad are all masked! Is this an effort to get us to mask up for the next flu season?

Of course, airlines can still impose their own policies requiring passengers to mask up. But they show no indications of doing that. Virtually every major airline quickly announced that masks would be optional, not required.

Many planes were in the air when the news broke. When pilots and flight attendants announced that passengers could remove their masks, there was wild applause. Some flight attendants reportedly broke out in tears.

As they were going down the aisle collecting trash, many passengers threw their masks out, too. Not quite the Boston Tea Party, but we’ll take victories wherever we can get them!

Cry Me A River

While flight attendants shed tears because they could finally show their faces for the first time in two years, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is crying for a very different reason.

During a recent podcast interview, Psaki reportedly broke down over Florida’s new Parental Rights In Education law. “I’m going to get emotional about this issue because it’s horrible… This is an issue that makes me completely crazy,” Psaki said.

Plenty of parents have cried when they discovered what was happening to their children in their schools. It is inappropriate for any adult — other than a parent — to talk to young children about human sexuality. It is an unconscionable violation of trust for teachers and school officials to be confusing young kids about their gender.

Voters, parents and taxpayers have every right to insist that teachers stick to basic academic subjects. Our falling test scores and poor graduation rates strongly suggest that our schools should not be wasting another second or another dime on this leftist cultural nonsense.

It’s telling and disturbing that Biden’s press secretary is brought to tears over the idea that states would pass laws to stop people from grooming children or indoctrinating them with controversial gender theories.

Trump Calls For Talks

Here’s something you may have missed: Former President Donald Trump is calling for urgent peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. Here’s what Trump said:

“It doesn’t make sense that Russia and Ukraine aren’t sitting down and working out some kind of an agreement. If they don’t do it soon, there will be nothing left but death, destruction, and carnage.

"This is a war that never should have happened, but it did. The solution can never be as good as it would have been before the shooting started, but there is a solution, and it should be figured out now — not later — when everyone will be DEAD!”

That’s exactly what I and others have been asking, “Why is no one working hard to get Ukraine and Russia back to the peace table?”

In a world that has no shortage of organizations dedicated to peace and tying America’s hands behind its back, why is there no concern about the drumbeat for war in Ukraine, a war that could easily spill over into Europe with devastating consequences?

Where are the massive anti-war peace rallies on the Washington Mall, in Times Square and Los Angeles? Where is Code Pink? Where is the United Nations?

I am glad to see President Trump stepping up and filling what is an inexplicable vacuum, and I hope more members of Congress will do so as well. While the American people stand with Ukraine, they do not want to see their sons and daughters dying there. Only 19% of Americans are willing to risk war with Russia.

What About Our Borders?

While the Biden Administration is committed to guaranteeing the sovereignty of Ukraine’s borders, more than 40 individuals whose names appear on the terror watchlist were apprehended attempting to enter the United States illegally in 2021. Twenty-three of them were caught at the southern border.

You would think this would be big news. But we’re only learning about it because Fox News legally demanded the information from the Department of Homeland Security. The rest of Big Media are curiously uninterested.

Once again, border security is national security!

But several questions immediately jump to mind: What did the Biden Administration do with these individuals? Where are they now? Were they arraigned in federal court? Were they released?

Keep in mind this is just the tip of the iceberg. More than 10,000 criminal illegal aliens were caught at the border last year, and that’s just the ones we caught!

America’s Political Prisoners

One of the ways we define dictatorial nations is that they have political prisoners. People in authoritarian nations are jailed for minor crimes or no crime at all. They are often held indefinitely, and never permitted a day in court. Sadly, that’s what is happening to the January 6th defendants.

More than 800 people have been charged in the ongoing investigation related to the Capitol Hill riot on January 6, 2021. The overwhelming majority of charges are misdemeanors, including trespassing, which is, by the way, what every illegal alien who crosses the southern border is doing. But illegal aliens aren’t put in jail. They are given free cell phones, healthcare and bus rides or plane tickets.

Dozens of January 6th defendants are still being held in “pre-trial detention” in squalid conditions in the notorious District of Columbia jails. Some have been told they will get a trial later this summer, conveniently right before the midterm elections.

Meanwhile, the left-wing media, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, along with their RINO enablers Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, constantly refer to what happened on January 6th as an “insurrection.”

But not one person has been charged with, much less convicted of, insurrection, which is an actual crime. That’s probably because an FBI investigation determined that there was no insurrection on January 6, 2021.

This should not be happening in the United States of America. That it is happening is deeply disturbing, and more Republican and conservative leaders should be speaking out against it.

Biden & The Bunny

The annual White House Easter egg roll is usually a run-of-the-mill event. But not with this White House.

First Lady Jill Biden was recorded repeatedly directing her husband to “stay here” or “ wave now,” things that folks sometimes have to tell those struggling with cognitive issues.

Biden often seems disoriented, loses his chain of thought and repeats stories that clearly aren’t true. How can a man suffering these symptoms be running the country?

There’s clearly some funny business going on here. Or is it bunny business?

At one point during the event, the president was talking with visitors when he was asked about Afghanistan. Just as the president started to answer, someone in the Easter bunny costume hopped to his rescue, positioning themselves in between the president and the questioner and then hustled the president away.

America’s friends are worried. Our enemies are salivating.
