It’s now been seven days since a wannabe assassin traveled to Washington, D.C., with the intention of killing Justice Brett Kavanaugh in order to give the assassin’s life “meaning.”

As we have pointed out, the wannabe assassin had breathed the poison of the left, which has demonized conservative justices as monsters. In Kavanaugh’s case, they accused him of being a “gang rapist.” But within 24 hours Big Media had dropped the story of Kavanaugh’s attempted assassination.

Incredibly, there still has not been a verbal statement by President Biden, Vice President Harris or Speaker Nancy Pelosi condemning this wannabe assassin and demanding an end to the left’s growing impulse toward violence.

It’s been six weeks since someone leaked Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion in the Dobbs case overturning Roe v. Wade. It’s been 36 days since the Senate voted unanimously to provide additional security for Supreme Court justices and their families.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives finally passed the bill. The vote was 396-to-27. All 27 “no” votes came from House Democrats.

But why did Speaker Nancy Pelosi drag her feet for so long? Why did she refuse to consider the Senate’s legislation until now? What possible reason could cause her to fail to increase security for the justices and their families in this incredibly volatile atmosphere?

You may recall that in years past, whenever one abortion clinic in America was attacked, pro-abortion politicians rushed to demand federal security at every abortion clinic. I remember when then-Attorney General Janet Reno deployed federal marshals to protect abortion clinics in a dozen different jurisdictions.

Apparently, Supreme Court justices, who may end up protecting preborn children, aren’t worthy of the same protection as the abortionists who destroy preborn children.

If one were a real cynic, you might conclude that Nancy Pelosi really doesn’t want to do anything to make conservative justices and their families feel safer because she’s part of the massive left-wing conspiracy to intimidate the justices into not overturning Roe v. Wade.

Just imagine how the left would be reacting today if it was learned that someone was arrested plotting to assassinate soon-to-be Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Five years ago, a Bernie Sanders supporter went to a northern Virginia baseball field with a hit list in his pocket. He attempted to kill as many Republican congressmen as possible. He nearly took the life of Rep. Steve Scalise.

The only thing that stopped the deranged wannabe assassin was the fact that Scalise, a member of the GOP leadership team, had augmented security.

Nancy Pelosi is playing with fire by delaying yesterday’s vote as long as she did. Attorney General Merrick Garland is playing Russian roulette by refusing to enforce the federal law that prohibits demonstrations outside the homes of federal judges.

Trump Responds

The Pelosi Show, the Soviet-style show trial into the events of January 6th, continued Monday. Polling shows that most Americans aren’t interested in its lies and distortions. In fact, even radical Rachel Maddow doesn’t seem all that impressed.

Nevertheless, former President Donald Trump responded Monday to the committee’s proceedings. Here’s an excerpt of Trump’s statement:

“Seventeen months after the events of January 6th, Democrats are unable to offer solutions. They are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation, without even making mention of the havoc and death caused by the Radical Left just months earlier. Make no mistake, they control the government. They own this disaster. They are hoping that these hearings will somehow alter their failing prospects.

"A certain Democrat once said, ‘It’s the economy, stupid.’ Well, Democrats now seem to think that Americans are ‘stupid.’ They are not. America is crumbling, and Democrats have no solutions. Our nation has no hope of change for the better under Democrat leadership. People are desperate. Rather than solving problems, Democrats are rehashing history in hopes of changing the narrative.”

Biden’s Woke Military

A few weeks ago, we reported that the proud U.S. Marine Corps, now in the grips of the radical left, joined the “pride parade” by posting a picture of a Marine Corps helmet with rainbow-colored bullets. As we noted at the time, the bullets looked like lipstick containers at first glance. (And In Biden’s thoroughly modern military, that’s probably okay, too.)

Not to be outdone, the U.S. Navy has altered its insignia on social media. The iconic eagle clutching an anchor in its talons now features rainbow-colored wings.

Why is this relevant? When exactly does the military celebrate the sexual behaviors of its heterosexual members? What exactly do those symbols look like? I don’t recall ever seeing one.

Once again, the cultural left, with Joe Biden’s full support, is dividing us. It’s doing the work of America’s enemies. Just imagine what this sort of foolishness does to morale.

Speaking of morale, Biden’s Defense Department recently announced that it would no longer restrict HIV positive individuals from serving in the military. At the same time, the Department of Defense continues to expel healthy soldiers who refuse the COVID vaccine. How’s that for liberal priorities?

And, by the way, the American military is almost entirely dependent on communist China for a key mineral essential to the production of night-vision goggles, nuclear weapons and ammunition.

Happy Flag Day

Yesterday was Flag Day. Just so we’re clear, the flag in question is not the gay pride flag or the BLM flag. Yesterday marked the 245th anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States by the Second Continental Congress. Prior to that, the colonists flew many different flags representing their individual states.

Every nation has a unifying flag as its symbol to bring their people together. Sadly, the woke left has turned our flag into another divisive issue in its culture war against America. The left never misses an opportunity to divide us.

Several years ago, Americans watched in horror as communist sympathizer Colin Kaepernick knelt throughout the national anthem. Eventually, entire teams were disrespecting the flag, our national anthem, our veterans and our country.

Yesterday, Muriel Bowser, the mayor of Washington, D.C., launched a little protest of her own. She took it upon herself to redesign the American flag so that it has 51 stars. The mayor ordered these altered flags to be flown along Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and Capitol Hill.

Mayor Bowser is angling for a promotion. She’s leading the charge for the failed idea that Washington, D.C., should be a state so Democrats will be guaranteed two more far-left senators. But it seems to me that adding another star to the flag is defacing the flag.
