Debate Night
There were some big debate moments this week that may prove critical to the outcome of several key races.
There were some big debate moments this week that may prove critical to the outcome of several key races. Let’s start in Pennsylvania.
Tuesday night, Democrat John Fetterman and Republican Mehmet Oz faced off in their one and only debate. Ever since his stroke this summer, the Fetterman campaign has adopted Joe Biden’s 2020 strategy and attempted to run for the Senate while hiding the candidate in a basement somewhere.
In the meantime, Pennsylvania Democrats have tried to bank every vote they could (more than 600,000 ballots have already been cast) before Fetterman had to come out to face the voters last night.
It was obvious from his very first sentence, “Hi, goodnight, everybody,” that he is not up to the task.
Asked to clarify his position on fracking, Fetterman said, “I support fracking. And I stand and I do support fracking.” Previously, Fetterman had said, “I don’t support fracking at all, and I never have.”
Asked about progressive plans to pack the Supreme Court, Fetterman replied, “I do not believe in supporting the Supreme Court.”
Fetterman’s performance led one reporter to tweet, “I spoke to Fetterman recently, and I expected him to be very bad tonight. But he was much, much worse than I expected.”
MSNBC host Joe Scarborough conceded Thursday morning, “It’s very obvious he is impaired.”
One Washington media outlet ran this headline: “Democrats In Second-Guessing Mode After Pennsylvania Debate.”
Yet in spite of his obvious impairment, left-wing activists are doubling down. Progressives poured $1 million into Fetterman’s campaign in a matter of hours Tuesday night, and polls show the race is a dead heat.
Moving on to Michigan, where Republican Tudor Dixon faced off against Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Dixon slammed Whitmer for her pro-abortion extremism, her weak approach to crime and her over-zealous lockdown policies during the pandemic.
There was a similar showdown in New York between Republican Lee Zeldin and Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul, where out-of-control crime was a major focus of the debate.
As we reported, Zeldin’s home was the scene of a recent drive-by shooting. Zeldin aggressively hammered Hochul for New York’s absurd anti-police, pro-criminal policies that have led to skyrocketing crime rates.
Halfway through the debate, Zeldin said, “She still hasn’t talked about locking up anyone committing any crimes.” Hochul bizarrely replied, “I don’t know why that’s so important to you.”
We’ll find out soon just how important this crime crisis is to the people of New York!
Finally, if you want to see a Republican really fight back against his Democrat opponent, check out this exchange between Mark Ronchetti and Michelle Lujan Grisham in the last New Mexico governor’s debate. It may explain why polling now shows Ronchetti is leading the race.
Beware Of Spoilers
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, eight key Senate races are toss-up elections where the lead is less than five points. Those include Republican seats in North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and Democrat seats in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and New Hampshire.
But third party independent and Libertarian Party candidates in several races are polling between 3 and 5 points. That’s not enough for those independent candidates to win, but it’s more than enough to tip balance — and almost always to the benefit of Democrats.
My friends, we must be wise about this. Only a Democrat or a Republican will win these seats.
Whatever issues libertarians and independents may have with Herschel Walker, Mehmet Oz, Adam Laxalt or Blake Masters, they pale in comparison to their differences with socialists and neo-Marxists like Raphael Warnock, Mark Kelly, Catherine Cortez Masto and John Fetterman.
- Warnock votes 93% with socialist Bernie Sanders.
- Cortez Masto votes 92% with Sanders.
- Kelly votes 91% with Sanders.
- Fetterman endorsed Sanders for president and he’s campaigning with socialists now!
Think about that for a moment. The overwhelming majority of voters in Arizona, Georgia and Nevada are not socialists, but their senators vote like socialists!
America is at a tipping point. We all know that.
So, in what world does it make any sense for a pro-liberty, pro-Constitution voter to split the conservative vote or cast a ballot that in any way helps to empower the radical left at this crucial moment in our history?
Please, my friends, stand united against the insane left!
Vote like your freedom depends on it — because it does!
Support conservative Republican candidates at every level — from the Senate to the school board!
Alito Speaks
Justice Samuel Alito spoke at the Heritage Foundation Tuesday night. Toward the end of his remarks, he addressed the May leak of his draft opinion in the Dobbs case that overturned Roe v. Wade and returned the issue of abortion back to the people of each state. Here’s what he said:
“It was a grave betrayal of trust by somebody. And it was a shock because nothing like that had happened in the past. So, it certainly changed the atmosphere at the court for the remainder of last term.
"The leak also made those of us who were thought to be in the majority … targets for assassination because it gave people a reason to think they could prevent that from happening by killing one of us, and we know that a man has been charged with attempting to kill Justice Kavanaugh.”
It’s outrageous that federal authorities, who are tracking down parents at school board meetings and arresting pro-life activists, still can’t find the individual who leaked Alito’s opinion and put justices’ lives in danger.
All this chaos is being driven by the left.
A leftist inside the court obviously leaked the opinion. Leftists in the White House, in Congress and the media stoked pro-abortion radicals into a frenzy. And now, because the court for the first time in decades has a conservative majority, the left is undermining the legitimacy of the court and plotting to pack it with more left-wing justices.
These are same leftists who constantly accuse conservatives of undermining democracy!
Our constitutional republic is built on checks and balances among the three independent branches of government, one of which is the judiciary. But the left is relentlessly attacking the court — even to the extent of putting the justices lives at risk.
Shame on them!
Hillary Undermines Democracy
She’s back! Hillary Clinton is warning Democrats about a vast right-wing conspiracy to the steal the election. If this sounds familiar it should.
Hillary’s been ranting about right-wing conspiracies for thirty years now, and she accused the Russians of stealing the 2016 election. I guess that makes her an election denier!
But she’s really out there this time. She’s not talking about the 2022 elections. No, Hillary is losing sleep over fears that “right-wing extremists” are already scheming to steal the 2024 elections!
Who knows, maybe she’s planning to run again. I have no doubt that another Hillary For President campaign would turn out just like the last one, so perhaps she’s getting her excuses ready now.
