Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday that she will not seek a leadership role in the Democrat caucus next year.  It is widely assumed that Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York will succeed Pelosi as the next House Democrat Leader.
 
Well, here’s something you probably don’t know about Mr. Jeffries:  He’s a major election denier.  
 
In 2018, he tweeted:  “The more we learn about [the] 2016 election the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes. America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE President in the Oval Office #RussianInterference.”
 
So, he not only denied the legitimacy of the 2016 election, he also promoted the whole Russia collusion hoax.
 
Talk about undermining democracy. This is what the entire left-wing media and political establishment did to Donald Trump throughout his entire presidency! 
 
And never once were they called “election deniers.”  Never once were they shamed by the media or the GOP establishment as “threats to democracy.”
 
But there’s more.
 
In 2020, Mr. Jeffries declared, “History will never accept you [Trump] as a legitimate president.”  Not one article in the “mainstream media” is calling out Mr. Jeffries for his history of being election denier. 
 
But there’s more.
 
Jeffries thinks the Supreme Court is illegitimate, too.  In 2018, he tweeted that “one or two Supreme Court seats” were stolen.  So, Trump’s Supreme Court appointments are illegitimate and any decisions they make are illegitimate and should not be followed.
 
This is why conservatives must never allow the left to dictate the narrative.  Leftists are election deniers!  Somehow, we allowed the left to browbeat us into silence when it comes to questioning corrupted elections, while they promote their loudest election deniers!
 
The double standard is disgusting.
 
 
 
Biden Is Scared
 
CNN posted a very revealing article Thursday.  Fearing a Republican victory in the midterm elections, the Biden White House has been furiously prepping for months for a “GOP investigative onslaught.”
 
The White House has hired some of the best high-powered lawyers and spin doctors in Washington.  They plan to fight back hard against “conspiracy theories,” and they are demanding that Republicans focus on the priorities of the American people.  But exposing the corruption in the Biden Administration is a priority of at least half the country.
 
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who routinely lies to the American people about the border being “secure,” will be a top target for the House Republican oversight committees.  A source close to Mayorkas told CNN that his attitude toward the investigations is “Don’t let the bastards win.” 
 
In other words, the problem isn’t Mayorkas’s lies or his promotion of open borders.  It’s conservatives in Congress attempting to expose his lying and failed policies.
 
But what the Biden Administration is attacking is simply congressional oversight.  The people’s priorities, among other things, includes the legislative branch of government providing oversight to prevent corruption. 
 
And corruption is always a major issue.  A poll this summer from the University of Chicago found that most Americans believe the government is “corrupt and rigged” against normal citizens.
 
It’s not just Biden’s left-wing allies who are resisting efforts to expose corruption.  CNN adds that the moderate wing of the GOP is also resisting aggressive oversight efforts.  Think about that. 
 
Whoever this “moderate wing” is apparently doesn’t want to expose the incompetence that led to brave soldiers dying in front of the airport gate in Afghanistan.  They don’t want the American people to know if the Biden family is compromised by communist China. 
 
They don’t seem to care that Mayorkas is lying about the border being secure.  They want to get about the business of governing. 
 
Well, the House isn’t going to govern anything.  They can’t lower taxes and cut regulations with just the one half of Congress that is controlled by such a small margin. 
 
And who are these unnamed “moderate” voices who think investigations are losers?  Have they noticed the January 6th Committee?  It was just one massive election expenditure for the left.  It had only one purpose:  To demonize Donald Trump and the GOP. 
 
Rep. Adam Kinzinger just admitted it, saying, “I think the January 6th Committee, even if people don’t vote on that issue, it kind of popped the bubble.”
 
 
 
“Severely Anemic”
 
That’s how Sen. Mike Lee described the alleged protections for religious liberty in the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act that the Senate voted to advance this week with the help of 12 RINOs.
 
Lee tried to offer his own amendment to strengthen religious liberty protections, but he said the sponsors of the legislation “refused to even consider it.”
 
Wednesday, Sen. Mitt Romney issued a statement expressing his support for the legislation redefining marriage.  He concluded by declaring, “This legislation provides certainty to many LGBTQ Americans, and it signals that Congress – and I – esteem and love all of our fellow Americans equally.”
 
I guess that makes Mitt feel better.  Meanwhile, I am waiting for Sen. Schumer or one Senate Democrat to issue a statement saying how much “certainty” the legislation provides for religious liberty and how much they “esteem and love” men and women of faith.  I’m not holding my breath.
 
The Senate has recessed for the Thanksgiving holiday, and is expected to resume consideration of the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act the week of November 28th.
 
That gives us some time to urge Republican senators to do the right thing.

At a bare minimum, these senators should support Senator Lee’s religious liberty amendment or they should refuse to offer any further support for this radical legislation.
