Virtually every conservative believes the neo-Marxist left wants to force Donald Trump out of the presidential race. Over the weekend, a few people raised a point that I never thought I would hear in America.

Rachel Maddow was thrilled when the federal charges were filed by Special Counsel Jack Smith, and she suggested that some kind of plea deal could be arranged. She said:

“You have to wonder if the Justice Department is considering whether there is some political solution… Do they consider as part of a potential plea offer, something that would [prevent Trump] from running for office again? I don’t know.”

It’s tempting to say that’s just spin from a crazy leftist desperate to drive Trump out of politics. The charges are absurd. The charges never should have been filed in the first place, just like charges were never filed against Hillary Clinton.

Hillary ran classified information through her private server, which she kept in a bathroom closet. Her aides physically destroyed evidence in the course of the investigation. They were never prosecuted. To the contrary, they were given immunity!

It’s no wonder why the American people overwhelmingly distrust the FBI.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who has never been a Trump fan, told Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo, “Joe Biden wants to give Donald Trump a death sentence for documents. He’s facing hundreds of years for mishandling documents, and they want him to die in jail. And yet Hillary Clinton is standing free today.”

According to one report, if convicted on all charges Trump could be sentenced to 400 years in prison. Countries where the government uses its power to oppress and destroy its political opponents — Russia, communist China, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela — are not nice places.

Sadly, the United States of America is increasingly headed down the dark path toward neo-Marxist totalitarianism.

More Double Standards

The news is filled with stories about the documents in Trump’s possession at Mar-a-Lago before the raid on August 8, 2022. I’m not referring to them as classified documents because the president, and only the president, has the power to declassify documents, which Trump says he did before he left the White House.

One of the disputed documents reportedly involves potential war plans with Iran, which reminded me of an incident that occurred as the Trump Administration was winding down.

As you may recall, we learned that General Mark Milley called his communist Chinese counterpart and assured him that President Trump wasn’t going to launch a war because there were safeguards in place to make sure that didn’t happen. And, if anything was going to happen, Milley promised he’d give the communist Chinese a “heads up.”

When this story broke, Christopher Miller, the acting secretary of defense at the time, said he didn’t authorize Milley to make that call. The media praised Milley’s courage, even though he likely disclosed classified information in that call. We don’t routinely give our enemies a “heads up” when we’re planning to go to war.

It’s just another example of how Trump is being treated differently.

Biden’s Pride

Over the weekend, I seethed with anger as I pondered the spectacle of seeing the alphabet soup flag hoisted at the White House above the flag that so many have fought and died for.

There is growing outrage at Biden and Harris for draping a huge LGBTQ “Pride flag” from the White House in a superior position to two U.S. flags on either side of the central “Pride” flag.

Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas expressed his outrage, as have many others. The bottom line, as Sen. Marshall put it, is this: Biden is putting his radical social agenda ahead of patriotism.

In his remarks at the disgusting event, Biden said we are “a nation of Pride,” which I think is canceling out our being “one nation under God.”

It was revealing that on Biden’s Twitter page, he cropped out the two U.S. flags. Maybe he’s feeling the heat. Or maybe he knew that on his Twitter page the flag he featured would get him more support than American flags.

If you burn an American flag, it’s not a crime. It’s free speech. But if you burn a “Pride” flag, you’re accused of committing a hate crime.

Looking out at his LGBTQ+ audience Saturday, Biden said, “You’re some of the bravest and most inspiring people I’ve ever known.”

What?! Based on what they do in their bedroom? We’ve gone from, “It’s nobody’s business what I do in my bedroom” to “What I do in private makes me among the most noble people in America, and you must celebrate my behavior!”

As a senator, as vice president and as president, I know Joe Biden has met plenty of active-duty service members and veterans who lost limbs in Afghanistan.

I know he’s met scores of soldiers who have undergone dozens of surgeries from wounds suffered in Iraq. He met the families of the 13 military personnel who died at the Kabul airport because of his incompetence.

But the courage of those patriots evidently can’t match that of LGBTQ radicals trying to indoctrinate America’s children into their movement.

Flag Day is coming up. We’ll have to wait and see if the Biden White House puts the “LGBTQ Pride” flag back up. I will proudly fly the Stars and Stripes!

More Chinese Spying

In recent days, there were disturbing reports that communist China was setting up a massive spying operation in Cuba. The Pentagon denied the reports, calling them “inaccurate.” But now, they are singing a somewhat different tune.

Over the weekend, administration officials admitted the initial report wasn’t accurate because the communist Chinese have had spying facilities in Cuba for several years. That explanation isn’t any better!

Clearly, last week’s remarks about “inaccurate” reporting were nothing more than an effort to deceive the American people. The statement was intended to lead us to believe that there was no communist Chinese threat coming out of communist Cuba, when in fact the threat has existed for several years.

Why would the Biden Administration try to deceive the public by being so dishonest? The answer is clear. They are worried communist China won’t talk to us after they just rescheduled high-level meetings that were canceled in the wake of Beijing’s spy balloon fiasco and they don’t want anything to upset those meetings.

Speaking on Fox News this weekend, Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) put it bluntly. He said our leaders must be clear with the American people in explaining the danger from communist China. Waltz said:

“We are in a new Cold War with China… They’re using every element of national power, diplomatic, informational, military, economic, and espionage to replace us as a global leader… When you see ‘Made in China,’ put it down…

"We have some of our most sensitive military bases actually, in Florida. Our Special Operations command, our Central Command responsible for the Middle East, our Southern Command, responsible for all of Central America, and a long-range missile test range that is in the Gulf of Mexico, where we test some of our most sensitive missiles. All of that can be collected by this base in Cuba…

"They own the ports on both sides of the Panama Canal. The Chinese have a major space monitoring facility in Argentina… They have 16 major port projects across South and Central America. They’re even investing billions into Jamaica… They are rolling in like a freight train and this administration is asleep at the switch.”

Once again, the weakness of the Biden/Harris Administration is on full display.
