In reviewing recent headlines, several stories jumped out at me. They are little skirmishes in the left’s ongoing war against America. They involve violence, intimidation and the infiltration of institutions. But they are happening every day, all across the country.

First, Whitney Durant, a 20 year-old college student, was arrested for vandalizing a crisis pregnancy center in Bowling Green, Ohio. The student is a member of the Bowling Green Student Rights Union and the Bowling Green Socialists.

When the Student Rights Union reported the arrest, it used “they/their” pronouns when referring to Durant. Durant refers to herself as “a communist trying to spread the gay agenda.”

In Denver, Colorado, the Drip Café, a Christian-owned coffee shop ministry, is facing constant demonstrations and vandalism because the ministry believes biblical teachings about homosexual conduct. They also believe the Bible teaches us to love everyone.

The demonstrators harassing the coffee shop are carrying signs that read “God is a f-g” and “LGBTQ Liberation Through Socialist Revolution.” Yes, they are LGBTQ activists and they are also members of the Denver Communists.

So, avowed communists are working with LGBTQ radicals to shut down a Christian ministry that serves the homeless.

By the way, the Colorado teachers’ union has gone full Marxist. It passed a resolution in May condemning capitalism. And this problem isn’t just isolated to a few radical teachers in Colorado.

The president of the National Education Association recently declared, “For us at the NEA, education justice must be about racial justice, it must be about social justice, it must be about climate justice. It must be about all of those things.” Racial justice, social justice and climate justice are all buzzwords for socialism.

Meanwhile, the Montana State Library Commission just voted 5-to-1 to sever all ties with the American Library Association (ALA). Why? Because they describe the national organization as being “led by a Marxist.”

That’s not hyperbole. Emily Drabinski was elected president of the ALA last year. Following her election, she tweeted, “I just cannot believe that a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power … can be wielded for a better world is president-elect of ALA.”

She sees libraries as central elements in the class struggle against the “maldistribution of wealth” and has vowed that her public voice will be “on labor’s side” and “socialist in tone.”

Is your state library association part of the ALA? Are your state and local tax dollars supporting Marxist indoctrination at your local library?

So, in Bowling Green, Ohio, in Denver, Colorado, and in your local library, self-described Marxists and socialists are working hand-in-hand with LGBTQ radicals to attack Christianity, capitalism and normalcy, and they are often engaging in outright intimidation and violence.

The Culture War Is Real

I point these things out just so you understand that I am not exaggerating when I say there is a culture war being waged against America by radicals, neo-Marxists and nihilists. It’s not just “over-the-top” or “heated rhetoric.”

To pastors who still don’t want to “get involved in politics,” and to politicians and candidates who don’t want to get involved in “culture wars”:

The left is “woke” and fighting (literally) for its values. What will it take to wake YOU up?

Will you stop Marxism in your library?

Will you defend your parishioners and constituents whose businesses or ministries to the poor are being attacked by Marxists?

Or will you just stand by while communists vandalize local crisis pregnancy centers?

Just how much of American daily life are you willing to surrender to evil forces because you don’t want to get involved in politics or culture wars?

House Passes Defense Bill

While we’re on the subject of culture wars, kudos to House Republicans for passing this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Usually, the NDAA enjoys broad bi-partisan support. But not this year. Friday’s vote was 219-to-210.

Why did so many Democrats oppose the defense bill? Because it included common sense GOP amendments to prevent taxpayer-funding of abortion, transgender surgeries and critical race theory in the military.

Biden’s political hacks have infected the Pentagon with politics, and congressional Republicans are trying hard to root out all their radical ideologies that are damaging our national security. But Democrats don’t want an effective military. They want a woke military.

The bill now heads to the Senate, where the fight will continue.

Speaking of the military, Joe Biden continues his steady march into the Ukrainian conflict. Almost every month, weapons we said we would never send are being sent, from tanks to cluster bombs, which our NATO allies object to.

Now 3,000 American families just learned that Biden is sending their sons and daughters to Europe to provide backup for the Ukraine operation. How about sending troops to secure our wide-open southern border?!

Biden vs. Bibi

The Biden White House continues its efforts to interfere in Israeli politics. While Biden refuses to meet with conservative Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he invited left-wing Israeli President Isaac Herzog to the White House.

But there’s more.

Fifteen Republican senators are blasting the Biden Administration for imposing BDS policies (boycott, divestment and sanctions) against Israel. The State Department is withholding research funds from scientific institutions in Judea and Samaria because the Biden Administration considers Judea and Samaria to be “occupied territory” belonging to the Palestinians.

Jews lived in Judea and Samaria when Washington, D.C., was still a swamp. As we have pointed out many times before, Judea and Samaria are part of the ancestral home of the Jewish people.

If that is not true, then the Bible is a lie. Is that Joe Biden’s position?

Speaking of anti-Israel, Rob Malley, Biden’s special envoy for Iran, was recently put on leave without pay and had his security clearance revoked. The White House and State Department are refusing to answer any questions about why.

I’m not sad to see him go. He was involved in the 2015 Obama/Biden nuclear deal with Iran and has a long history of being anti-Israel and pro-Iran. But for this administration to take away his security clearance screams that we must know exactly what happened and how much information he gave to the Iranians.

2024 Update

Donald Trump continues to dominate the GOP primary field. In the latest Morning Consult poll, Trump commands 56% of the Republican vote, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 17%. No other candidate received double digit support.

While Joe Biden isn’t facing a serious primary threat yet, Democrats are, nevertheless, getting increasingly nervous. News broke last week that West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is attending a “No Labels” event in New Hampshire in coming days, alongside former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman.

The “No Labels” organization is working to field an independent third-party ticket in the 2024 general election. Democrats are terrified that such a “centrist ticket” could tank Biden’s reelection.

But that’s not the only threat Democrats are facing. They are also increasingly worried about left-wing defections to radical Cornell West, who is running for the Green Party nomination. Jill Stein, a two-time Green Party nominee, is managing West’s campaign.

Good News

• The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated Tennessee’s law protecting children from mutilating transgender surgeries. The law is now in effect while it is being challenged in court.
• A federal court rejected arguments by the Satanic Temple that pro-life laws violate the religious liberty of those seeking to perform “abortion rituals.”
• The Indiana Supreme Court rejected a challenge by Planned Parenthood to the state’s pro-life law.
• Target reversed course and will sell Mark Levin’s new book after initially indicating it would refuse to stock it.
• Bud Light sales continue to crater. Once America’s most popular beer, it’s now out of the top 10. In fact, sales are so bad, Costco may soon quit stocking it.
• The recent conversions of Rep. Mesha Mainor, a black former Democrat Georgia state legislator, and Kay Yang, a former LGBTQ activist from New York, should inspire us all to continue fighting for Faith, Family and Freedom.
