Last week, we reported on newly released emails regarding Hunter Biden’s “ultimate purpose” for serving on the board of Burisma, a controversial Ukrainian energy company.
That purpose, as a top Burisma executive explained to Hunter and his business associates, was to “close down any cases/pursuits” (investigations) into Burisma’s founder and president.
Yesterday, Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) released the FBI document, known as a FD-1023 form, that the Bureau has stubbornly refused to disclose. That form was produced after a confidential human source (CHS) informed the FBI about an interaction he had with Burisma executives that implicated the Biden family in a foreign bribery scheme.
The confidential human source was asked whether he was “aware of Burisma’s board of directors.” When the source answered, “no,” he was informed that one board member was Hunter Biden, who was “hired to protect us, through his father, from all kinds of problems.”
The source then asked why Burisma needed him when they had Hunter. The Burisma executive replied that “Hunter Biden was not smart” and they wanted “additional counsel.”
Months later and after the 2016 election, the confidential human source spoke with Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky, who wasn’t happy that Hillary Clinton lost the election. Nor was he happy with the Bidens.
Zlochevsky complained that Joe and Hunter had “forced or coerced” him into paying them, adding that he had “many text messages and recordings” to prove it.
Reacting to the shocking revelations in this form, Sen. Grassley said:
“The American people can now read this document for themselves, without the filter of politicians or bureaucrats, thanks to brave and heroic whistleblowers.
"What did the Justice Department and FBI do with the detailed information in the document? And why have they tried to conceal it from Congress and the American people for so long?”
The countdown to Biden’s impeachment begins now!
The Hunter Hearing
Wednesday’s House Oversight Committee hearing into the compromised investigation of Hunter Biden and the compromised Biden crime family was very revealing. And not just for what the two highly credible IRS whistleblowers had to say, who raised serious questions about political corruption, abuse of power, perjury and obstruction of justice.
What came out of the mouths of some congressional Democrats was downright delusional, dangerous and hilarious.
For example, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) tried to defend Joe Biden’s oft-repeated claim that he never discussed Hunter’s business dealings with him. It didn’t go well at all.
Goldman read a message from Hunter to his father that stated, “I may be trying to start a company or try to do something with these guys.” Stressing the phrase “may be trying to start,” Goldman declared, “That doesn’t sound much like Joe Biden was involved in whatever Hunter was doing … does it?”
IRS whistleblower Shapley replied, “No, but it does show that he told his father that he was trying to do business…” At that point, Goldman cut Shapley off and conceded, “OK, well, that is true that Hunter Biden does try to do business, that is correct.”
And it’s also correct that Joe knew all about it.
Multiple Democrats on the committee seemingly had nothing to say, except to complain about Republicans who referred to a “two-tiered system of justice.” They insisted that the phrase belongs exclusively to the left in order to condemn America for having a “systemically racist justice system.”
And then there was Rep. Kweisi Mfume, who put his dangerous ignorance on full display. Mfume declared:
“Now, here’s what galls me. I don’t like these attacks on the Department of Justice, the FBI, the IRS, as if they are somehow anti-U.S. agencies. Those agencies keep this democracy in check. They provide the checks, and they provide the balances.”
EXCUSE ME?!?
The point of this hearing, a hearing that took place yesterday and others held in recent days is whether these agencies are in fact acting against the interests of the American people.
Moreover, this congressman who takes an oath to uphold the Constitution clearly doesn’t know the Constitution.
Checks and balances do not come from the IRS, the FBI and the Department of Justice, all of which are executive branch agencies. Checks and balances come from the division of power between the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government, with each branch checking the power of the others.
The idea that the FBI and the IRS are to keep the American people “in check” is alarming. That’s totalitarianism!
Media Malfeasance
Predictably, CNN and MSNBC ignored Wednesday’s hearing, just as most media outlets have ignored the entire Biden bribery scandal. “National Propaganda Radio” (NPR) also totally ignored Wednesday’s hearing.
But while CNN was too busy to cover IRS whistleblowers exposing government corruption, they thought Special Council Jack Smith going to lunch at Subway was really big news. They even had “exclusive video” of Smith’s sandwich run, which somehow was a “big message to Donald Trump.”
Really? What would it have meant if Smith had gone to Taco Bell or Burger King?
There is corruption all around them being exposed on Capitol Hill. But rather than cover that, they’re obsessed with what Jack Smith, Biden’s Trump-slayer, had for lunch!
The Intolerant, Totalitarian Left
Yesterday, we told you about the growing popularity of Jason Aldean’s latest hit song, “Try That In A Small Town.” Well, the left is out for blood and the song has become the latest flash point in the culture war.
Many leftists are labeling it a “lynching song,” and accusing Aldean of promoting violence. Why? Because there was a lynching 100 years ago outside the courthouse featured in his video. Country Music Television (CMT) has now censored the video.
This is the same absurd “logic” the left uses to condemn the founding fathers and our entire country because bad things happened a long time ago.
Meanwhile, these are the same left-wing forces that are going after parents who want to keep sexually explicit material away from children!
The left censors anything and anyone whenever they want. But parents who want to protect their kids are “bigots” and “fascists.”
And don’t even get me started on all the offensive and disgusting images and lyrics that have dominated rap music for decades! There are plenty of songs that are full of anti-American lyrics, but we have to tolerate that.
There’s more outrage about Aldean’s lyrics and video than there is about the issues he’s raising in the song — the riots of 2020 and the out-of-control crime caused by insane left-wing policies.
Barack Is Baaack!
Former President Barack Obama waded into the culture wars this week by defending radical libraries and condemning the censorship of certain books. Obama is upset that:
“Some of the books that shaped my life … are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives. It’s no coincidence that these ‘banned books’ are often written by or feature people of color, Indigenous people, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.”
First of all, no one is “banning books.” These books are widely available for sale online and at bookstores everywhere.
But parents are challenging some sexually explicit books that are being aimed at children in school libraries and at public libraries that are paid for with our tax dollars — books like “Gender Queer,” which includes graphic depictions of sex acts.
There’s a huge difference between “banning books” and keeping graphic material away from kids. There’s a huge difference between “banning books” and not wasting taxpayer resources on such material.
Barack Obama certainly knows that. But he didn’t mention concerns about protecting children at all. He is merely condemning people who want to keep porn away from their kids.
It’s telling that Obama would take up this issue, and he referred people to the American Library Association, which, as we recently pointed out, is now led by a self-avowed “Marxist lesbian.” It speaks volumes about the intolerance and totalitarian impulses of the left.
We’re supposed to tolerate anything and everything the left can think of. Yet, the left is free to cancel and censor anything and everything it disagrees with!
