Dick Morris makes the basic point that the surge is all about the perception that the Democrat Party establishment is trying to kill Sanders — as they did in 2016.

This sets the Demos up AGAIN for a civil war, though it won't get much press. The same situation certainly contributed to Hillary Clinton's loss in 2016. The loss of Sanders supporters regardless of who the nominee is this year, even if Biden is overtaken by Sanders, is a whispered but looming threat within the Democrat Party between moderates and leftists. It is creating a significant problem for them in this election year. Can their "Hate Trump" platform be sufficient to win regardless of who their nominee is?
