The Real Reason for Floating Bondi’s Trans-Ban on Gun Purchases
Since when do Democrats not support any and all measures to advance their gun control agenda?
In the wake of the most recent “mass shooting” in Minneapolis by an assailant afflicted with gender-confusion pathology, the Department of Justice is launching an investigation into the escalating trend of violence in recent years by so-called “transgender” individuals.
This follows other high-profile mass assaults by those manifesting similar pathology in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nashville, Tennessee, and Uvalde, Texas.
For the record, we have also noted other influential factors such as consumption of violent media in combination with the use of antidepressants.
HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., one of Donald Trump’s most effective communicators and disruptors, recently declared, “We’re launching studies on the potential contribution of some of the SSRI drugs and some of the other psychiatric drugs that might be contributing to violence.” That has resulted in knee-jerk pushback from the Demos’ Leftmedia publicists.
I have argued the obvious for decades — that gender disorientation manifestations constitute psychopathological disorders, and that classifying those disorders as anything but pathology is a betrayal of those so afflicted. That is not a condemnation of those suffering this disorder; it is objecting to the Left’s effort to normalize what is not normal. But Demos vigorously avoid this objection because they don’t want to offend their largest voter constituency: women. Leftist women refuse to make the connection that their sympathy for homosexuals affirms a destructive pathology.
Moreover, the major psychological and psychiatric associations have already folded to the Demos’ advocacy agenda.
So, just how does the Trump administration plan to accomplish a trans-ban on firearms purchases? The real question is this: Why is the administration floating such a trans-ban?
To purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer requires a federal Firearms Transaction Record — ATF Form 4473. Question 21.g asks, “Have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective OR have you ever been committed to a mental institution?” Answering “yes” to this question prohibits the purchase of a firearm.
But to be clear, this disqualification very narrowly defines mental illness as adjudicated by a court, not a general diagnosis of a mental illness. The Trump administration says it may attempt to strengthen the definition of what constitutes mental illness by including certain aspects of gender dysphoria, and it may be successful by simply changing the Form 4473 on mental illness.
In the broader political context, what this really amounts to is challenging the leftist “gay agenda,” which advocates for evermore absurd manifestations of delusional gender pathology, including now even the most grotesque medical protocols for the gender mutilation of youth.
Additionally, AG Pam Bondi is forcing Demos to come out in support of the Second Amendment to ensure a tiny fraction of their constituents can buy guns. Given the fact that Democrats support any and all measures to advance their gun control agenda, this is an interesting objective on the trans-ban proposal.
Further, Demos’ defense of “trans” rights in the recent Minneapolis case serves to remind the nation that this mentally ill assailant was one of their constituents – thus the next assault by a gender-confused assailant will be hung around their necks.
This very much follows the model of how the administration has adroitly forced Demos to come out in support of crime and now drug cartels.
For the record, one thing Bondi should change today is Form 4473’s question 14, which requires the buy to identify their sex as “Male,” “Female,” or “Non-Binary.” Calling for banning “transgender” gun purchases while not first eliminating the option to declare “Non-Binary” is just, well, stupid.
However, the fact is that Bondi will not be able to move the needle on restoring the mental health classification of gender dysphoria, and thus, I believe that trolling the very group that has proven to be a deadly subset of sociopaths, is a mistake.
Oh, and finally, based on the fact that the overwhelming number of people shooting other people in America are Democrat constituents, I would suggest that being a Democrat should be an exclusionary factor for purchasing a firearm.
