NAACP’s Chief Race Hustler Strikes (Out) Again
“Quite frankly, we haven’t told anybody to leave.”
Popular Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will announce his presidential campaign today, and of course the Demos’ Leftmedia talkingheads and scribes are ramping up their smear campaigns. They are doing so in coordination with their Demo cadres of race hustlers — Joe Biden leading the chorus.
As I noted earlier this week: “In search of relevance, the anachronistic NAACP has joined the Left’s anti-DeSantis front, issuing a travel warning to its members planning visits to Florida. It claims that DeSantis is guilty of ‘aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools,’ turning the state into an ‘openly hostile’ location for its constituents. The warning added, ‘Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.’”
It is the richest of ironies that the NAACP has hitched its wagon to the architects of white supremacy and Democrat Party leaders who continue to advance polices that keep millions of black and brown Americans enslaved by poverty politics.
And now, for the richest of NAACP hypocrisies.
As it turns out, the chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors is a resident of … wait for it … FLORIDA. Leon Russell lives in a comfortable suburb of Tampa, where he enjoys all the benefits of the great things DeSantis has done for his state.
Attempting to defend his hypocrisy, Russell claimed: “Quite frankly, we haven’t told anybody to leave. In fact, the NAACP is encouraging folks to stay here and fight. If there was ever a reason to stand your ground, it’s Black people, LGBT community, the immigrant community, women, need to stand our ground in Florida and fight, and understand that that fight is a political fight.”
Well, OK then. Keep your constituents on their plantations and your race-hustling paycheck fat and happy!
Let me reiterate this point for all the dullard Demo lemmings who continue to follow people like Leon Russell down their rat holes: The Democrat Party is the most enduring monument to racial oppression in America, and regarding the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s complicity in that travesty today, I invoke the words of famed civil rights leader Booker T. Washington, founder of the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. In his 1911 book, My Larger Education, Washington wrote of racial agitators, words that are even more applicable to present-day race hustlers: “There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. … Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays.”
Demos like Russell fear DeSantis because his record as governor accounted for the fact that in his 2022 reelection, he won 62 of the state’s 67 counties and beat Democrat challenger Charlie Crist by nearly 20 points — and he did so attracting voters across racial and ethnic lines.
Notably, Donald Trump, who is relentlessly issuing fratricidal attacks against any and all upcoming 2024 primary opponents, particularly DeSantis, is also a resident of Florida. Democrat strategists know that his fratricidal attacks, in stark violation of Ronald Reagan’s “Eleventh Commandment,” “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican,” are the greatest threat to Republican victory in 2024. Get ready for a flood of his circular firing squad shots this week.
Footnote for the record: So-called “hate crimes” in Florida are a mere fraction of those recorded in the Demo-controlled states of New York and California. Oh, and other members of the NAACP board visit the state for recreation.
