Houthis attack Saudis
A major Saudi Arabian oil pipeline was struck last Thursday. On Friday, the Saudis shut down the East-West pipeline, which the oil-rich country has been using to divert much of its oil exports away from the Persian Gulf because of Iran’s threat around the Strait of Hormuz. Iran-backed Houthi rebels are the prime suspects for this pipeline attack; however, there are some reports indicating that the attacks may have come from Iraq. A planned meeting between several Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Oman, and Iraq, has now been canceled. For the U.S., the concern is that Iran may be succeeding in its aim to expand the scope of the war to other nations in the region.

Trump implores Zelensky to stop targeting Russian refineries
President Donald Trump called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday with a request to stop taking out fuel targets in Russia due to the global shortage of diesel. “Mr. Zelensky has to do one thing,” Trump said. “He has to stop knocking out diesel fuel, let them go after targets but not diesel fuel because he’s causing a shortage of diesel.” Diesel prices have hit an all-time high in the U.S., rising to over $6 a gallon. However, that’s not because of Russia and Ukraine, but rather the Middle East. Most nations haven’t been buying Russian oil since the Russo-Ukrainian war began, so why is President Trump blaming oil prices on the Ukrainians? Concerns about global supplies are warranted, but stopping Iran is a price worth paying.

Charlie Kirk statue vandalized
Three days following the unveiling of the eight-foot Charlie Kirk bronze statue outside TPUSA’s Phoenix headquarters, it was vandalized with red paint. Tyler Bowyer posted photos and videos showing red paint sprayed across the statue’s face and neck, and a nearby poster of Charlie was also vandalized with a red X across his face. The phrase on the poster, “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior,” was defaced with “Jesus” crossed out and “Satan” written over it in red paint. Phoenix police have taped off the area and are investigating, but they have not identified any suspects yet. The same area was vandalized in September 2025, when a man was arrested for trampling a memorial to Kirk after his assassination.

Kennedy Center on the brink of bankruptcy
To the Left’s certain apoplexy, it may be that the only way to save the Kennedy Center from “certain fiscal collapse” is to put President Trump’s name back on the building. The leaders of the center have distributed a 57-page report to the board of trustees laying out the bleak prognosis, warning that two crises will shut the building down within a few weeks. One crisis is financial: They will be unable to make payroll or pay for routine maintenance contracts. The other is physical: Lives are in danger if the building remains open and necessary renovations are ignored. The report from the leaders makes it clear that Trump can raise the funds needed to prevent bankruptcy and restore the building, and that public recognition of his involvement will secure his help in the project.

China helped Iran attack a U.S. base
A recent report alleged that China supplied Iran with satellite imagery of Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan just before Iran attacked the base on July 17. The missile strike killed three U.S. service members: Army 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, and Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad. Four others were wounded when missiles struck a housing area containing sleeping troops. Chinese officials have denied involvement. The State Department has previously accused Chinese companies of backing Iran and Houthi terrorists, though they did not identify specific companies in this instance. Iran also operates its own satellites and likely receives intelligence from Russia as well. On Sunday, President Trump said that China “spies on us” when reporters asked about the satellite imagery claims. He also mentioned that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Washington on September 24 for a summit.

Colonel shot down in Iran tells his story
The USAF Colonel who was shot down over Iran and rescued on Easter morning spoke to “60 Minutes” in an interview released on Sunday. The airman known as “Bravo” told the story of falling without a parachute after his F-15E was struck by a shoulder-fired missile — professionals believe he impacted the ground traveling at least 70 miles per hour. “I believe that it’s a testament to God’s provision in my life,” says Bravo, “[that God] prevented any catastrophic injuries that would have affected my ability to survive.” After reaching the earth, Bravo climbed a nearby ridge and evaded Iranian hunters for two days before being rescued. During the fall, Bravo took action to open his parachute and, more importantly, he prayed: “Lord, your will be done. But if I’m getting through this, I need help.”

Mamdani, AOC laugh during reading of 9/11 victim names
Each year at the 9/11 memorial service, family members read the names of the nearly 3,000 victims aloud. Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, two prominent Democratic Socialists, were seen laughing during the solemn ceremony, and the video clip sparked fierce criticism. Republicans called the moment disgraceful and inappropriate. Others argue the clip simply shows the two politicians greeting each other. Many New Yorkers protested Mamdani’s attendance at the service. The mayor is a Muslim immigrant, only became a citizen eight years ago, and has asserted that Muslims face persecution in New York City. The Muslim population in NYC has doubled since 2001. Mamdani also has close ties to Hasan Piker, a leftist who claimed America deserved the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Plane holding Rep. Tom Tiffany emergency lands in lake
In a harrowing story with a happy ending, Wisconsin Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany swam to shore on Saturday night after his four-seat aircraft made an emergency landing on a lake. Tiffany, who currently represents Wisconsin’s 7th District in Congress, said on Sunday, “We’re really fortunate that God was looking after us last night.” Just after 9 p.m., as Tiffany was returning from the La Crosse County Lincoln Day Dinner, the pilot, a retired airman, warned the congressman that they were going down and to buckle in; about 10 seconds later, they hit the water. The two men climbed onto the aircraft and began a 30- to 45-meter swim to shore once it began sinking. Tiffany suffered a cut above his eye requiring 12 stitches, while the pilot, Leonard Boltz, needed four stitches for his injuries.

Trump encourages reunification of Ireland
While on a trip to Ireland, President Trump voiced support for a unified Ireland. “It just seems to me that you have Northern Ireland and you have Ireland, and it would seem to me that one of the naturals of all time is put them together.” Anyone with a general knowledge of history knows this is a very sore subject for both the UK and Ireland, as Northern Ireland was the part of Ireland that notably refused to join the newly independent Ireland, resulting in violence known as “The Troubles.” Given the United States’ previous role as the neutral mediator in this conflict, it’s certainly concerning that Trump has decided to take a side here, seemingly for no other reason than not liking the border on the small island. Irish and British officials have both downplayed Trump’s comment.

Bill Maher slays 9/11 cowards
Popular comedian and self-identified liberal Bill Maher took Leftmedia outlets to task over their coverage of the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Focusing on both the BBC and CBC, which had issued memos warning their reporters not to use the word “terrorism” when referencing the attacks, Maher blasted this “revision quest” for what it is: “lying.” Maher stated, “Really? We can’t anymore just say out loud who the bad guys were that morning?” Noting the BBC’s claim that using the word “terrorism” was a “barrier to understanding,” Maher quipped, “You know what’s a barrier to understanding? Lying.” Maher also called out Democrat Party politicians as “cowards” for their moral equivocation regarding the evil of Islamic terrorism.
