GDP increases by 3.4%, showing signs of a booming economy
U.S. gross domestic product grew at a 3.4% annual rate in the last quarter, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is a sizable jump from the previous quarter’s 2.2% growth rate. Most economists expected GDP growth, but most had pegged it at 3.2%. These are signs of a still-strong, burgeoning economy — and a positive indicator for the Trump administration heading into the midterms in just a few days. The AI boom has also been a massive shot in the arm for the U.S. economy, and the entry of Anthropic, and likely others to follow, into the stock market will likely drive growth even further. Inflation is still at 3.6%, but growing GDP may give the Federal Reserve the breathing room it needs to help lower inflation to its 2% target.

The Federal Reserve’s mixed message
On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve met and voted 10-2 to leave interest rates, currently ranging from 3.75% to 4%, unchanged. The committee reasoned that the nation’s economy “is expanding at a strong pace” and job growth has “kept pace with the workforce, and the unemployment rate has changed little.” Addressing a question on inflation, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh answered, “What I can do is tell you there’s no soft inflation target and no implicit inflation target. There’s a target of price stability, and it’s 2% as measured by [Personal Consumption Expenditures].” He added, “When consumers interrogate reality, they look outside their window too. They go to the gas station too, and they see the prices are up.” As noted above, annual inflation remains at 3.6%, yet the good news is a higher-than-expected third-quarter GDP of 3.4%.

Netanyahu claims election was stolen
After failing to secure a full election win, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused rival Arab parties of cheating. Israeli voters elect the 120 members of the unicameral Knesset through proportional representation. Though Netanyahu’s Likud party outperformed expectations on Tuesday, it did not reach a 61-seat parliamentary majority. Gadi Eisenkot won the second most seats. The two communist Arab parties also outperformed, drawing their largest ever share of the vote. Netanyahu claimed they used bribes, threats, violence, forgeries, and prohibited software to secure those votes. He promised his party would produce testimonies and evidence of election fraud in Arab voting stations, including proof of cash bribes and voters submitting multiple votes. On Wednesday evening, roughly 89% of the vote had been counted. Parties have one month to form coalitions and secure 61 seats. Netanyahu will remain in charge in the meantime.

Bolsonaro declares himself the true Brazilian president
Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro recently lost the Brazilian presidential election to leftist Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Bolsonaro believes he actually won the election, but rival da Silva won by force, with help from Brazil’s Supreme Court. Bolsonaro has since left Brazil for the U.S., landing in Miami shortly after. This was because the Brazilian Supreme Court ordered him to surrender his passports over allegations of money laundering. There is no evidence currently to prove that the election was fraudulent in any way. While a two-hour electoral extension was given to a left-leaning state in Brazil, the votes were negligible in comparison to the 4.5 million-vote deficit by which Bolsonaro lost.

O’Keefe charged with (investigating) voter fraud
Citizen journalists James O’Keefe and Cam Higby went into a Minneapolis polling booth in August to expose how easy voter fraud is. They did just that, proving that by simply dressing up in Islamic garb, O’Keefe was capable of getting Higby past the poll workers despite showing no ID to prove that Higby was the Islamic woman he was pretending to be. “You’re the ID,” one worker told O’Keefe, who could vouch for up to eight people in burqas. Despite neither man voting, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty, a well-known George Soros-funded leftist radical, is charging them with unlawful voting and identity theft, despite the man O’Keefe impersonated being able to vote later that very same day. Moriarty admitted that neither man signed the oath that they were who they claimed to be, but she insists they nevertheless violated the law.

Obama hypocritically attacks Trump, fake accent and all
Former President Barack Obama attacked President Donald Trump during a Georgia rally Wednesday alongside Sen. Jon Ossoff and gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms. “He’s very focused on home renovations. Should have a show on HGTV,” Obama mocked regarding Trump’s ballroom. “The president of the United States is spending time supergluing gold medallions to the mantle in the Oval Office. I am not making this up. He is literally doing arts and crafts while we are fighting a war.” This comes after Obama insulted Trump in a speech last week, saying the White House looked “like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.” On Wednesday, Obama taunted the White House for focusing on the meaningless part of his comments. Also, Ossoff vowed to spend his second term bringing Trump and his associates to justice for “so much corruption.”

Canada loses associate member prospects with EU
EU member states declined to consider Canada for “associate member” status, instead promising “close association” with the North American nation. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen previously proposed offering Canada associate membership during her State of the European Union Speech, catching multiple EU nations off guard. Many nations, including Germany, France, and Greece, objected. The EU and Canada are scheduled to hold a summit next year in Montreal to discuss the nature of their “close relationship,” but obviously it’s not that close. This comes after largely severed ties between Canada and the U.S., leaving Canadians reeling from the economic effects of this move. Alberta had even considered a referendum to leave the country. The proverbial island Canada is on could be dangerous.

DHS gets hacked
The “anti-fascists” are up to their fascist tactics again and have doxed approximately 40,000 Department of Homeland Security employees and contractors, including some undercover ICE agents, claiming they want to “replace anonymity with accountability.” The hack was done by an “anti-fascist” group that calls itself the “Department of Peace.” DHS is investigating the catastrophic breach, which includes more than 20,000 U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Border Patrol employees, and is “actively working to address the situation swiftly and effectively,” a department spokesperson said. A data-leak website called Distributed Denial of Secrets released DHS employees’ personal information, allowing the public to search it. The Department of Peace said in its own statement that DHS employees “have our information, so it’s only fair that we have theirs” and that they hoped the data would be used to “limit further harm by the DHS.”

APA risks losing accreditation rights due to antisemitism, excess activism
The American Psychological Association has become a hotbed of wokism, leftist activism, and antisemitism, and it appears it will cost the group its accreditation. Last month, the bipartisan advisory board to the Department of Education voted to recommend suspending the APA’s Commission on Accreditation. Suspending the commission would leave the APA unable to certify master’s or doctorate programs in psychology. A recent APA conference featured 90 panels over four days, and at least 70% were focused on left-wing politics. One panel, “Feel the F— Fantasy (Redux): Drag, Desire, and Queer Theory at WERK in Psychoanalysis,” concluded with a drag performance. In response to the accreditation threat, the APA selected a new president, Candice Hargons, who said, “Our common enemy is systemic intersectional oppression,” and she seeks to reject the “assertion of objectivity.”

ObamaCare just keeps getting more expensive
The grossly misnamed Affordable Care Act is becoming less affordable every year, with premiums expected to rise roughly 15% in 2027. The ACA, or ObamaCare, insurance rates will increase on average by double digits for the second year in a row, leading more people to abandon it and either go without health insurance or seek more affordable options in the private market, where the average premium rate increases are expected to be half that of ObamaCare. ACA rate increases will hit Arizona, New Mexico, and Montana hardest, with monthly premiums rising by over 20% next year. Urban Institute fellow Jason Levitis observed, “The fundamental dynamic of price setting is that anything that makes insurance more expensive or harder to get is going to push out healthier people more than sicker people.”

Texas opens first-of-its-kind detransition clinic
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on October 27 the opening of the nation’s first detransition clinic because of his settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital — the same hospital that was previously in the business of mutilating children. Texas Children’s Hospital was charged with submitting improper bills through Medicaid for gender-transition treatments, including some procedures that are unlawful in Texas. It also fired whistleblowers and covered up evidence. According to the settlement, the hospital must pay $10 million, open the detransition clinic, end certain gender-transition treatments, and terminate medical privileges for several physicians. The hospital also agreed to fully fund the detransition clinic for the first five years, allowing patients to receive care at no cost. While this is a start, it is a far cry from the accountability needed for the permanent harm the medical community has done to countless innocent children.
