‘Make a Run for the Border’
As Christians we need to show compassion to “the least of these.” But a nation without borders is not a nation.
Back in the 1980s, Taco Bell’s commercials said, “Make a Run for the Border.” It was supposed to be about eating tacos; it was never intended to be an official government immigration policy. Yet, here we are, after three years of Joe Biden’s open borders, with somewhere around 7-8 million people having crossed our border from Mexico.
They’ve come from 160 different countries, some hostile to America. They’ve been taught by the cartels what to say to immigration authorities when claiming political asylum from the nations they allegedly fled.
I don’t know about you, but I’m getting very disgusted watching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas smirking before Congress, telling us the border is NOT open. Don’t believe your lying eyes, he says; or, in his version of a Jedi mind trick, “These are not the illegal immigrants you’re looking for!”
I may get in trouble from some Christians who believe the millions flooding across the border are harmless people needing a better life. I wish that were true, but it’s not. After watching Hamas brutally murder and mutilate Israeli men, women, and children, shouldn’t we be concerned with the thousands of military-age Muslim men coming across the border?
Let’s consider just a few of the consequences to what Biden is doing to our country. Hundreds of illegals die on the trip here. Untold thousands of women and children are raped on the way. Drugs, especially lethal fentanyl, cross the border, resulting in over 110,000 overdose deaths last year alone. Sex trafficking, human smuggling, and illegal drugs earn cartels billions of dollars each year. Our government has “lost” over 10,000 children brought into the country. It has no idea where they went.
Democrats are allowing these illegals to enter, who will end up taking jobs from minorities. Vladimir Lenin said it well: “You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.” Again, it’s believed Lenin coined the phrase “useful idiots.” Blacks and Hispanics are supporting the very people who will give their jobs to illegals. Obama was right: “Elections have consequences!”
I understand that as Christians we need to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, and show compassion to “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). But a nation without borders is not a nation. While some may just be looking for a better life, we also get violent MS-13 gang members, people on the terror watch list, rapists, murders, and more.
Biden flies them to wherever they want to go and gives them phones, credit cards, housing, and food. Meanwhile, our homeless, including veterans, are moved out to make way for the illegals. FBI Director Christopher Wray says alarm bells are going off all over. The threat level to our nation is high, but this administration continues to keep the door open. We’re seeing levels recently of 10,000-12,000 illegals in a single day.
The crisis was so critical in Arizona that it had to close the border to rush Border Patrol agents from other places to handle the flood. Meanwhile, tourists cannot go back and forth. Mexican workers cannot cross over. Food shipments cannot be delivered. All of this will not help our country’s economy, let alone our security. Both political parties need to pay the price for this disaster!
Something to think about!
