Each January 22, we mark Sanctity of Life Day, honoring the inherent humanity and dignity of babies in the womb. It was on that day in 1973 when the Supreme Court’s judicial despots issued their edict in Roe v. Wade, in which they discovered a so-called “constitutional right” to kill babies before they’re born. After more than 60 million babies died, the Court’s 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling overturned Roe’s travesty, but the fight for life is a long way from over.

Indeed, the Party of Death hosted ghoulish rallies all over the country yesterday to rally their constituents for abortion. It will be on the ballot in several states this year, and it will be used to drum up opposition to Republicans. Joe “The Good Catholic” Biden and his trusty sidekick Kamala Harris made use of yesterday’s anniversary to boost abortion as a political issue they trust will benefit Democrats again in 2024.

Team Biden issued a (Distort the) Fact Sheet yesterday outlining actions the administration will take. “Lives hang in the balance,” the administration says — which is true, just not in the way implied.

Via executive order and presidential memorandum, Biden aims to ensure “access to contraception” (read: subsidize it with tax dollars) and to educate women on how to avail themselves of such opportunities. The lengthy “fact sheet” lays out myriad other ways the administration is promoting abortion.

The Biden administration does nothing even remotely approaching this full-court press to advance rights that are explicitly listed in the Constitution. In fact, two key rights — free speech and keeping and bearing arms — are actively suppressed and opposed by this administration.

Imagine for a moment if the right to free speech or the right to own a gun meant you had the same improved “access” via tax subsidies that you do for the phony right to kill a child in utero.

Part of the administration’s effort meant sending Harris out to tour the country stumping for abortion. She began in Wisconsin, where she lamented that various state laws limiting abortion represent a “horrific reality that women are facing every single day.” Joe and Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will join her today in Virginia for another campaign rally focused on abortion access cheering the slaughter of innocents.

As is typical for Democrats, Harris hijacked the language of American Liberty to make her point. “In America, freedom is not to be given. It is not to be bestowed. It is ours by right,” she declared. “And that includes the freedom to make decisions about one’s own body — not the government telling you what to do.”

Americans subject to the Biden administration’s various vaccine mandates would like a word.

The U.S. remains one of just seven countries around the world with unfettered access to abortion on demand. The other nations include China, North Korea, and Vietnam, which we’re pretty sure aren’t concerned with rights, freedom, or telling people what to do with their bodies.

Moreover, when a woman is pregnant, she’s making decisions about her own body and someone else’s growing inside her. Two people enter an abortion clinic, but only one comes out alive. Of course, that’s not what Harris meant by calling abortion access “a healthcare crisis.”

With the exception of rare medical circumstances that Democrats excel at highlighting, the mother’s right choice is to defend the defenseless, not to sacrifice her baby for her convenience. The community’s right choice is to rally around her and support her and her baby, not to scream in the streets with angry placards, pat her on the back for her abortion, and then leave her to grieve in silence and with no aid at all once the “choice” is made.

The Left deceives many women into thinking abortion is the compassionate solution for them when they face a crisis pregnancy. Men who favor abortion do so because it absolves them of responsibility for any children conceived from their own selfish actions. The child pays the price, as does the woman who must bear the emotional burden of ending a life. How is that compassion?

Unfortunately, the politics seem to be working in the Democrats’ favor. “Eighteen months after the Supreme Court overruled Roe, Democrats see the issue as central to Biden’s reelection effort,” reports The Washington Post. “Since the decision in Dobbs decreed that abortion rights should be left to the states, Democrats have won a string of electoral victories, fueling the party’s hopes that the abortion issue will propel Biden to reelection despite his low approval ratings.”

More of those victories seem to be coming. Stirring up angst over abortion is the Democrat strategy, and so far, it’s working.
