Shortly after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7 last year, both President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken rushed to Israel. They stood before the cameras and both profoundly expressed their support for Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East. Israel is also a longtime ally of America.

Both Biden and Blinken expressed their unwavering support for our Jewish friends, denouncing in the strongest terms the atrocities acted out by Hamas. Both promised America would always have their backs no matter what happened. That unwavering support lasted for about a New York minute.

First came the bawling, squalling, and whining of “The Squad.” You know who they are — that handful of Democrat members of Congress who hate America and everything we stand for. These Democrats immediately began to lie about what was actually happening in Israel. They denied that the rape and torture of Jewish women actually happened. They demanded a ceasefire before the bodies of Jews were buried and before Israel took the first step toward retaliation.

When Israel finally did invade Gaza, the leftists’ screeching and lies became even worse. For example, they claimed, without evidence, that Israel bombed a hospital, killing over 500 Palestinians, including women and children. Even when that lie was exposed, some refused to accept the truth.

Next, we began to hear that Hamas had the right to attack Israel because of its “occupation.” It seems someone forgot to tell them that Hamas has been running the government in Gaza since 2007. By this time, hundreds of thousands of college students all across the nation began protesting Israel’s supposed occupation. Radical Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-Gaza) demanded a ceasefire, promising to rally Muslim voters in Michigan to not vote for Biden in the primary. Over 100,000 chose “other.”

Muslims in Minnesota and other places began to threaten the same thing. Recently, Muslim protesters in Dearborn, Michigan, chanted: “Death to Israel! Death to America!” This is what weakness breeds. Because Biden has no integrity, he immediately began to demand Israel stop the fighting in Gaza because votes are more important to him than his word. Is anyone surprised?

“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is the Muslim call to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Anyone who’s paying attention knows that. Hamas has refused a number of ceasefire offers. Hamas leaders publicly state they will continue October 7-style attacks until Israel ceases to exist. How do you negotiate with that? You can’t, and the radicals know it.

Biden says Hamas is not Palestine, and yet a well-known polling group surveyed the Palestinians in Gaza after the October 7 attack, and over 70% of residents there still support Hamas. Hamas terrorists use the Palestinians in Gaza as “human shields,” shoot them if they try to move to safety, and steal their foreign aid and sell it back to them. Yet the Palestinians still support the terrorists because of their ingrained hatred of Israel.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is demanding regime change in the Israeli government. According to Israeli-American journalist Caroline Glick, Biden is allegedly working behind the scenes to bring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government down. Interfering with another nation’s government was once frowned upon.

Biden is putting America on very shaky ground. Abandoning Israel will result in God abandoning us. Israel is the apple of God’s eye. They who curse Israel do so to their own disaster. Look what happened to the British Empire after abandoning the Jewish people after the Holocaust.
