Of Election Seasons and Illegal Votes
This cycle, the Democrats will once again benefit from weak enforcement, sloppy voter rolls, and an uninformed electorate.
Time was when a presidential election campaign didn’t start until after Labor Day. Those days are long gone, though, and that tradition has fallen victim to COVID-19 and the Democrats’ Election Season strategy.
Indeed, early voting begins as soon as September 6 for eligible voters, with the swing state of North Carolina sending out absentee ballots that day, and six other battleground states doing the same thing later in the month.
Think about it: There are still 71 days until Election Day, and yet eligible North Carolinians will be able to vote just 11 days from today. This means that voters in this crucial swing state will be able to cast a ballot for president without so much as having seen the two candidates debate. Moreover, these voters will not have had the benefit of a media interview with the press-dodging Democrat, Kamala Harris, who for 36 days and counting has assiduously kept that complicit media at arm’s length.
This serves a purpose: Democrats benefit from an uninformed electorate.
The Democrats’ Election Season scheme also serves another purpose: It gives them a longer runway for carrying out their ballot-harvesting operations in the swing states.
Remember: In 2020, a stunning 71% of voters cast their ballots before Election Day, with 41% of them voting by mail, and 31% voting early in person. What’s more, 155 million votes were cast in the 2020 election, and yet the presidency was decided in Joe Biden’s favor by some 43,000 votes across three razor-thin states: Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin. This year’s race is setting up to be every bit as close, which means that Democrats will once again seek 100% turnout in the nursing homes all around Detroit, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia. Keep an eye on Phoenix and Atlanta, too.
Unfortunately, it’s not just the nursing homes that Democrats will seek to exploit. It’s the illegal vote. As The Federalist’s Ben Weingarten writes, “States across the country report that thousands of noncitizens have been discovered on voter rolls in the past decade, with unknown numbers already having voted.”
Among the affected states is Pennsylvania, where 11,000 registrants suspected of being noncitizens were uncovered due to a decades-old “glitch” in the state’s “motor voter” registration system. In another state that Democrats are defending, Weingarten says, “Virginia has removed over 11,000 registrants from its rolls between 2014 and 2023 — and more than 6,300 from January 2022 to July 2024 alone — upon learning that they had declared themselves noncitizens in other interactions with government, typically in transactions with the state’s department of motor vehicles. House Republicans cited a study showing that of nearly 1,500 noncitizens the Commonwealth removed from rolls from May 2023 to February 2024, 23 percent had cast ballots since February 2019.”
This is where the electoral rubber will meet the road. Republicans are fighting to clean up the voter rolls and ensure ballot integrity, while Democrats are threatening to sue them if they dare. Take, for example, this recent X post from sleazy Demo super-lawyer Mark Elias: “In 2020, Trump tried to overturn the election. My team and I beat him in court 60+ times. In 2022, Republicans in several counties refused to certify. We sued and won. Here is my message to the GOP: If you try to subvert the election in 2024, you will be sued and you will lose.”
Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley might have something to say about that. Since replacing former chair Ronna McDaniel in that post, he’s been working to clean up each state’s voter rolls on the audacious argument that only living American citizens should be allowed to vote in our nation’s federal elections. As Whatley told Just the News’s John Solomon recently:
The other critical aspect is that we want to make sure that we’re in the room. We were very excited to announce earlier this week that we have already recruited over 157,000 volunteers all across the country to our Protect the Vote campaign. We had set an initial goal of 100,000 when Lara Trump and I took over the RNC just four months ago, and the response has been completely overwhelming. People are going to ProtectTheVote.com, signing up, we are getting them registered, we are getting them into training, and we are going to have them in a position where we can deploy them as poll workers and poll observers on Election Day.
The clock is ticking, and the stakes are enormous. And all Americans, regardless of their party affiliation, should be seeking the same thing: that only eligible American citizens are able to vote, and that they should be able to do so simply, safely, and confidently.
