Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have a thankless job. It’s especially thankless these days because of the Democrats’ decision to demonize them simply for enforcing federal law. Attacks against agents have gone up by 1,000% this year.

Back in July, CNN promoted an app called ICEBlock that tracked ICE agents’ movements in real time. The intention behind it was to help “desirable” illegal aliens avoid being caught up in a sweep. In practice, it puts ICE agents in danger from Antifa and militant illegals. It also puts stings in jeopardy because ICE also rescues human trafficking victims, breaks up drug operations, and seizes illegal weapons. ICEBlock was eventually removed from the Apple App Store last month due to the safety issues it was perpetuating.

However, Democrat lawmakers in the House decided now would be a great time to introduce a similar product. Standing alongside Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, California Rep. Robert Garcia, the leading Democrat on the Oversight Committee, recently announced a “master ICE tracker” that will be posted on the Committee’s website. What is unclear is whether it will track ICE movements or serve as an oversight for ICE agents. Either way, it’s a direct attack against ICE agents, against Donald Trump’s campaign promise to deport illegal aliens, and against American voters.

Attorney General Pam Bondi criticized the development. “Shutdown Democrats are already refusing to pay our law enforcement agents,” she said. “Now, @RepRobertGarcia and @SenBlumenthal are trying to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs. @TheJusticeDept has ZERO tolerance for violence against law enforcement — we will prosecute any person who physically assaults our agents.”

Bondi’s warning is extremely necessary. It’s literally insane that Democrats think a master ICE tracker is a good idea, as it truly does put lives at risk — not just ICE agents, but anyone deluded enough to attack them.

What is the Democrats’ reasoning? Well, they are obviously losing on the immigration issue, and the worst indictment they can come up with is that ICE agents are racially profiling, as some American citizens and legal residents have been detained because they look like they might be here illegally. And if Democrats can make it seem like ICE is being directed by a dictator, then maybe they can garner some leverage for the midterms.

There is an additional benefit for Democrats as well. They want to make it impossible for ICE agents to effectively carry out their jobs. Why? Because they want illegal aliens here in perpetuity, all centered around maintaining power.

Illegal immigration is largely supported by radical leftists, many of whom are affluent white females who are told sob story after sob story, thereby feeling convicted to keep illegals here because America is a rich country and can afford it. Their empathy is merely a form of misplaced mothering. Additionally, most of them don’t live in places where their lives would be directly affected by illegal immigration, so they aren’t worried about being a victim of a crime or dealing with the influx of illicit drugs. Being pro-illegal immigration is a leftist luxury belief, plain and simple.

While all this was going on, ICE busted up an illegal street market selling knock-off purses and other scammy goods in New York City’s Canal Street in Chinatown. ICE rounded up nine illegal aliens with significant rap sheets. How did the people of New York react? Angrily — they yelled at the ICE agents and forced them out of the area. Later, there was a protest outside an ICE facility, where several Antifa members were also arrested.

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, ICE agents had to open fire on Carlitos Ricardo Parías, an illegal alien who intentionally rammed into ICE vehicles. He was shot in the elbow, and a U.S. Marshal’s hand was injured by a ricochet. Parías had a TikTok account where he posted the activities of ICE. He had previously been awarded by the city for his antagonistic efforts.

Leftists believe ICE agents are the Gestapo reincarnated because that’s exactly how pundits in the Leftmedia have caricatured them. But ICE is not the bad guy. The Left has surrendered to the worst and most radical elements of its party, creating an incentive structure for violence and instability. The Oversight Committee’s master ICE tracker is just another example of how they are doing this even at the highest levels.
