Prayer for America in 2026

May our lives bear witness to God’s love, truth, and justice, and may our prayers be a beacon of hope for generations to come.

Happy New Year!

I would like to start my year off with a prayer for America.

Heavenly Father, as we gather in prayer this morning, we turn our hearts toward You, seeking guidance and strength for our beloved nation, America, in the year 2026. We reflect on Isaiah 45, where we see Your promise of hope and restoration through Your chosen vessels. Just as You raised up Cyrus, we ask that You empower leaders in our land to carry out Your will, bringing forth a spirit of unity and righteousness.

Lord, we recognize the challenges that our nation faces. Evil has taken hold in various areas, and it is our duty to stand firm against it. We pray for the strength to reclaim the eight mountains of influence — government, family, education, and more. We rejoice in the victories won through our collective voice and faith. As we celebrate the triumphs of leadership that reflect Your truth, we ask for continued wisdom and discernment for those in positions of authority. May they never forget the foundation of faith that has brought us to this moment.

In the spirit of Isaiah 45:20, we assemble ourselves, drawing near to one another in solidarity, having escaped the constraints of ignorance and false idols that cannot save. We proclaim that You, O Lord, are the Creator of the earth and all that dwell within it, and we are determined to uphold Your truth in our society.

We ask that You rain down Your righteousness upon us, allowing justice and salvation to spring forth in our communities. Let us rebuild the strong foundation of family values, love, freedom, and justice that our nation was built upon. May the bells of freedom ring throughout our land once more, resonating with the call to do what is right.

As we slow down amidst the busyness of life, help us to cultivate gratitude for the many blessings You have bestowed upon us. Your grace has shined upon America, and we are engaged in a spiritual battle of good versus evil. We pray for repentance, healing, and a revival of faith across our nation.

Let our lives bear witness to Your love, truth, and justice. May our prayers be a beacon of hope for generations to come, ensuring that our children and grandchildren inherit a land rooted in the values You desire. In Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen.
