Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have a very difficult job. Most of the time, they are actively policing the very worst crime humanity has to offer, such as child and labor exploitation, as well as human and sex trafficking. Despite predominantly going after the worst of the worst, however, leftists believe that ICE’s only job is to deport innocent “undocumented” residents or workers.

A recent social media post perfectly encompassed this ignorance. Actress and comedian Kathy Griffin, who is famously childless and family-averse, read that ICE agents had raided a Disney cruise. “Jesus f ing Christ,” she vulgarly reacted. “I feel the rage. If you do too, promise me you will remember this rage on election day.”

Her news source, from a Substack called Crust News, had all the leftist clickbait and rage in its coverage of the event. It claimed that “ICE agents stormed the Disney cruise ship as it docked in California, where [they] abducted multiple staff members.” Furthermore, “At least one of the abductees was known to be legally in the USA to one observer.”

One can tell by the use of the word “abducted” that this news source has a particular slant. It also evidently did not perform due diligence because ICE was not there to bust illegals working on a Disney cruise.

Fox News reports that “28 people from three different countries — 26 from the Philippines, one from Indonesia and another from Portugal — were interviewed, and 27 were found to have taken part in the ‘receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of [child sexual exploitation material] or child pornography,’ according to [U.S. Customs and Border Protection].”

An unknown number of them were employed by Disney. Some of these accused sickos were working close to children and their families.

“We have a zero tolerance policy for this type of behavior and fully cooperated with law enforcement,” Disney said in a statement. “While the majority of these individuals were not from our cruise line, those who were are no longer with the company.”

A CBP spokesperson further revealed, “Officers confirmed all subjects were involved in either the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of CSEM or child pornography,” adding, “CBP canceled their visas, and these criminals are being removed from our country.”

Obviously, leftists like Kathy Griffin were prematurely outraged. ICE was arresting migrants not necessarily because of immigration issues but because they were exploiting children and feeding into the heinous industry that dehumanizes them.

Do Griffin and other bleeding-heart leftists care more about foreign kiddie porn distributors than the kids whom these perverts were exploiting? One would hope not.

Perhaps a retraction and an apology to ICE for doing its job and keeping the American people safe is in order.

This imbroglio is also an important lesson for impatient leftists: wait for the facts before deciding to rage against people you have unfairly decided are “the enemy.” Maybe, just maybe, they are getting rid of child predators or busting up human trafficking rings. You know, things you say you agree with. Leave immigration enforcement agents alone and let them do their job.
