Throw the Book at the Tate Brothers

The pervy “manosphere” twits are facing 59 charges in Britain for a litany of sex crimes ranging from rape to child porn.

It’s always the ones you most expect.

The horrendous brothers, Andrew and Tristan Tate, have finally racked up enough charges that U.S. Marshals arrested them on Saturday in Miami. Seven British victims may actually see some justice, as the UK is seeking extradition.

Just who are the Tate brothers? As Ben Shapiro put it, “Even if you’ve never heard of the Tates, your kids definitely have.”

Andrew Tate was a world-famous kickboxer, having won four World Championships. His brother, Tristan, was also a kickboxer, but not at the same level. After that career fizzled out, both brothers ventured into the world of pimping and streaming their encounters with their “girlfriends.” When they moved to Romania in 2016, their webcam porn business exploded.

A year later, the Tates decided to expand into the “manosphere,” the influencer segment on social media that depicts lifestyles for men to emulate. Andrew and Tristan used their influence to talk men into their way of life.

They opened Hustler University, which promised to teach men how to become just as rich and powerful as they were. The operation closed in 2022 amid pyramid-scheme investigations.

Andrew is the protagonist, and Tristan is the lackey. Andrew, (allegedly) a recent convert to Islam, espouses Jew hatred and bigotry toward minorities and women. He reportedly told an ex-girlfriend, “Shut the f*ck up, b*tch. You will never backtalk me. You are my property.”

Andrew and Tristan made a name for themselves on social media — they have since been banned from most platforms for violating community guidelines — as manosphere influencers. Andrew became particularly famous for answering the plight of young men seeking role models, and then encouraging them to chase what couldn’t possibly make them happy, such as money, looks, power, and flings with as many women as possible.

In 2022, both brothers were placed under house arrest in Romania for charges of human trafficking. In February 2025, the brothers were permitted to leave the country and flew to the U.S. (they are dual citizens of the U.S. and the UK). They have been here ever since.

Sidebar: At the time, a rumor circulated that the Trump administration pressured the Romanians for the Tates’ release. However, those rumors have not been substantiated.

In May 2025, the brothers were slapped with even more charges from the UK, mainly related to rape and physical abuse. This culminated in Saturday’s arrest. Under the arrest warrant issued by the Crown Prosecution Service, the Tate brothers were hit with 38 more charges, including child pornography and rape allegations directed at Tristan. All told, there are 59 charges from the UK, most of which are for sexual crimes.

There are three caveats to this story.

First, the Tates have a right to challenge extradition because they are dual citizens. Unsurprisingly, they did issue a challenge on Monday, and as of publishing, a judge is still weighing his decision.

Second, the Tates will still need to go through the legal process of extradition, which includes an extradition hearing and Secretary of State Marco Rubio surrendering them.

Third, there is no guarantee that the Tates would actually face justice in the British courts. On the one hand, they are white men and would likely have the book thrown at them. On the other, there is that niggling fact that Andrew, at least, is a Muslim, and if the rape gangs in the UK are anything to judge by, then the Tates won’t face justice anytime soon.

The Tates’ lawyer, Joseph McBride, is downplaying the seriousness of Saturday’s arrest. “We are confident that once a competent judge sees the facts, and once the Department of Justice confronts this egregious abuse of its own authority, Andrew and Tristan Tate will walk free,” he asserted. “America does not do Britain’s political dirty work.”

Additionally, McBride explained that the Tate brothers believe outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer trumped up these charges to get back at them, as they think their influence had something to do with Starmer’s fall from power. However, this might merely be a show of bravado and an inflated ego. Andrew and Tristan, through their lawyer, also seem to believe that the arrest warrant was “greenlighted by a low-level functionary,” and that if President Trump knew it was going on, he would have stopped it cold.

Time will tell. If Trump is smart, he can kill two birds with one stone: first by allowing justice to take its course, and second by ridding the country of these two slimeballs.

There are a lot of moving pieces, but let’s hope we can get Andrew and Tristan Tate out of the U.S. and into the hands of justice, where the hollowness of their gospel will be exposed for the toxic trash that it is.
