Why Isn't Al Sharpton Decrying NBA Racial Inequality?

While Al Sharpton and his posse attack the Oscars for the perceived slight of the movie “Selma” during award season, the race baiter – if he really cared about equality of races – would focus on a much more pressing disparity in popular culture. Sharpton may say Hollywood is like the Rocky Mountains (“the higher you get, the whiter it gets”), but former congressman and Army Lt. Col. Allen West and his band of patriots blew that argument out of the water. “If you want to talk about no diversity in honoring excellence, look at the recipients of the Most Valuable Player awards over the last 58 years,” writes Michele Hickford, editor in chief at allenbwest.com. “It’s shocking! Seventy-eight percent of all MVPs in history have been black! Boy, I’d say the NBA is way too black. We ought to hold an emergency meeting to discuss possible action against the NBA, right Al?
