The Demo Presidential Candidate Waiting in the Wings

A Democrat favorite who is not getting much attention could step in soon.

During the 2016 presidential primary season, we were subjected to two distinct and classic political strategies — one by Democrats, the other by Republicans. Fortunately, neither succeeded.

On the one hand, establishment Republicans played a flood-the-zone gambit by fielding a ridiculous 16 candidates. The gamble was for each candidate to win only their respective constituency, all while the anointed candidate, Jeb Bush, would consistently place second or third every time to thus win the nomination by an anemic plurality. Of course, it didn’t work because President Donald Trump decided to beat them at their own game.

On the other hand, Democrats played an optics gambit by recruiting one and only one serious opposition candidate, Bernie Sanders, with his hyper-leftist positions. The gamble was for Sanders’s extremism to be so far to the left as to make the chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton, appear moderate by comparison. That didn’t work because public-school indoctrination has so thoroughly dis-educated Bernie’s Millennials that they actually believed a septuagenarian hyper-socialist represented their best interests. In the end, Democrats had to rig their primary system to create the illusion that Clinton had won.

For the 2020 primary season, Democrats are being pummeled by the same strategy, but on steroids. For the flood-the-zone gambit, they fielded 25 candidates with not a single one able to garner a plurality. For the optics gambit, the early entrants have been tripping over each other to see who would win the title of most closely aligning their ideology to that of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels and their Communist Manifesto.

When the Democrat convention is over, if none of the candidates can garner a plurality, then who will they advance to the general election? Though she would like another shot at Trump, it won’t be Clinton who steps into the running. So is Joe Biden the antidote to the leftists, a bumbling proxy for the previous presidential years?

With Democrat primaries just a few months away, and the general election only 14 months away, time has become critical. Who can sweep aside existing candidates and consolidate the base if the Left’s collective-constituency strategy fails?

Are Democrats running their dangerous impeachment gambit to clear the deck for a candidate who is not on the current roster?

According to Democrat voters in New Hampshire, the answer is yes. In the most recent Franklin Pierce University/Boston Herald polling, there is an emerging Democrat frontrunner.

As pollster Kelly Myers explains, “The Democratic race is a statistical dead heat between Warren (25%), Biden (24%) and Sanders (22%).” But he notes, “If Michelle Obama were to enter the race, it would change things dramatically. Twenty-six percent of Democrats would vote for her, making her the new frontrunner. Under this scenario, Obama (26%) would lead Warren (20%), (Biden (20%) and Sanders (15%). She would take away 4 points from Warren, 4 points from Biden and 7 points from Sanders.”

That’s right — get ready for Michelle 2020!
