“Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and the entire DNC and Congress and all the state heads and chairs of Democratic parties, they need to come out and denounce this hatred, this vitriol, condemn Black Lives Matter and then antifa,” said Vernon Jones, a Democrat Georgia state representative. “Congress should hold hearings … and hear testimonies from those of us who are being attacked. It should also do a thorough investigation to see who’s funding … these professional domestic terrorists, and they should be held accountable.”

Following President Donald Trump’s Republican presidential nomination acceptance speech last Thursday evening, Jones was accosted by an angry mob of BLM protesters as he left the White House lawn. Recalling the confrontation, Jones noted, “What it showed me is that black lives don’t matter because I am a black person. I am a black life, so the hypocrisy that Black Lives Matter showed me right there, and verified and validated what I’d already been saying, is that black lives don’t matter.”

Earlier this year, Jones made waves when he broke with the Democrat Party and endorsed Trump, and last week he was one of the speakers at the Republican National Convention. Of his decision to speak at the RNC, he said, “I’m a lifelong Democrat, but I’m breaking free. The Left doesn’t own me. I’m breaking the chains.”

Note the glaring contrast and blatant hypocrisy displayed by Democrats and the Left. Even as several anti-Trump Republicans expressed support for Joe Biden during the Democratic National Convention, none of them has been accosted in the street, surrounded by a group of angry folks hurling abusive language. Yet as a black Democrat who recognizes Trump’s contributions to America and dares to speak out in support of the president, Jones suffered racist verbal abuse and was spared from violence only because of a police escort. Meanwhile, the mainstream media ignores the episode as it continues to propagate the Democrats’ false narrative that Donald Trump is the racist.
