What reason does China’s communist government have to take seriously Joe Biden’s ambassador to the United Nations? Linda Thomas-Greenfield may criticize China over its horrific treatment of its Uyghur population, but the woman tasked with representing the United States at the UN is also busy preaching about how evil the U.S. is — and has been from its very founding.

Speaking before the UN’s Human Rights Council recently, Thomas-Greenfield ridiculously asserted that “the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents.” She further asserted, “We have to acknowledge that we are an imperfect union — and have been since the beginning — and every day we strive to make ourselves more perfect, and more just. In a diverse country like ours, that means committing to do the work.”

The “doing the work” catch phrase has become the popular call to action of Critical Race Theorists, and by “work” they essentially mean dismantling America’s free-market economy and replacing it with a government-controlled socialist system that “ensures” equity.

There’s no denying that America is not a perfect nation. No one is claiming it is. But what Thomas-Greenfield and the woke Left are denying is the fact that the U.S. has produced one of the most just nations on the planet; a country that prizes individual liberty and that stands up for the rights of all.

Furthermore, Thomas-Greenfield’s diagnosis is that the problem plaguing the globe is “racism.” Really? Racism has become the Left’s all-purpose bogeyman. It’s the great evil from which all evil flows. Notice her expanding and intentionally convoluted definition when she dubiously states, “Racism is the problem of the racist. And it is the problem of the society that produces the racist. And in today’s world, that is every society. In America, that takes many forms. It’s the white supremacy that led to the senseless killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many other black Americans. It’s the spike in hate crimes over the past three years — against Latino Americans, Sikh and Muslim Americans, Jewish Americans, and immigrants. And it’s the bullying, discrimination, brutality, and violence that Asian Americans face everyday, especially since the outbreak of COVID-19.”

Does the U.S. government condone any of these supposedly racist actions? Are local officials directing police to hunt down and arrest or murder Americans because of their minority racial status? Do racial minorities in America not enjoy the same constitutionally protected rights as the white majority? The obvious answer to all these questions is a resounding “No,” and yet Thomas-Greenfield is disingenuously acting as if all those things are happening.

The Chinese communist government is in fact actively engaged in directing all of these inhumane activities against its own racial and religious minority populations. And the ChiComs aren’t going to heed American advice from an administration that tears down its own country.

That Thomas-Greenfield fails to acknowledge the clear distinction between the two nations is an egregious and false equivocation that’s downright absurd. One thing is clear: Thomas-Green has no love for America.
