The famous Groucho Marx once said, “Who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?” Joe Biden is asking us the same question as it relates to our economy. Regardless of how you feel about former President Donald Trump, up until the COVID pandemic hit our shores, we were experiencing the most incredible economy since President Ronald Reagan.

Even after a year of drastic shutdowns in many blue states, the economy was showing signs of improvement where restrictions were being lifted. If you knew anything about Biden and his merry leftist bandits, you had to know it wouldn’t continue.

As Biden began undoing everything that could be attributed to Trump — border security, construction on the border wall, limits on abortion, and on down the list — it was only a matter of time before the economy was going to take a hit. Last week’s dismal jobs report and uptick in unemployment were the first steps of taking us back to the Obama years, maybe even worse!

When the numbers came in at nearly one-fourth of what the “experts” projected, Biden told us the numbers proved his plan was working. All the money thrown at various leftist con jobs was improving the economy. Who ya gonna believe, the numbers or your lying eyes?

You have to wonder if the “reporters” in the room were able to mask their shock at Biden’s remarks. That’s assuming there are any true mainstream media journalists left reporting on this administration’s missteps. One reporter asked the president if the increased unemployment insurance was hurting businesses that cannot hire employees. Biden responded that it’s not hurting small businesses that he could see.

I don’t know how many small business owners the president knows or has had recent conversations with. But from my experience in my home town, businesses are having great difficulty hiring employees. The increased unemployment benefits are causing those who are not highly motivated anyway to stay home and get more money to do nothing than they would get working.

We recently were on vacation and found the same situation everywhere we went. Restaurants, stores, and shops cannot find employees. But our president says the higher unemployment numbers are not the reason employers can’t find people to work. In fact, the higher unemployment numbers tell Biden he needs to pour more billions — or was it trillions? — into the economy.

During the presidential campaign, we were told Biden was a moderate. He told us he would be president to all Americans after the election. Biden was going to unify the nation. Since then, it has been nothing but division. We conservatives are “racist” and “evil” and America is basically a nation rooted in “systemic racism.” Is this how building unity works? I think I must be missing something.

The Biden administration intends to bankrupt this country. If you think he’s just a stumbling, misguided person, you need to open your eyes to the Left’s ultimate goal. The goal is to bring about the end of this nation as we know it.

Everything the Left is doing is by design. It’s no accident that trillions of dollars are going into the pockets of leftists and their partners. It’s not remotely related to improving the economy. It’s to remake the nation into a Socialist/Marxist country.
