The Growing Battle Against the ‘Transgender’ Movement
More and more GOP-led states are fighting against the Rainbow Mafia’s efforts to destroy culture, education, and sports.
In his 1992 address to the Republican National Convention, Pat Buchanan warned of a culture war that could destroy the “soul of America.” At the time, most Americans (and even many conservatives) thought political correctness and multiculturalism were troublesome but would not threaten the foundation of our country.
Fast-forward 30 years, and political correctness has turned into cancel culture and censorship; multiculturalism has morphed into racial tribalism; and same-sex marriage, which was barely even a radical idea at that point, quickly opened the floodgates to transgenderism, gender fluidity, and the sexualization of children.
When Buchanan gave that speech, it could be argued that there was no culture war. A war takes two sides willing to fight, and most conservatives didn’t even acknowledge that we were under attack. But now, there’s pushback against the moral degenerates on the Left, and the pushback has sparked a great battle for the soul of our country.
No one said this is going to be easy. The Left has a massive arsenal, and along with the power of the media they’re not going to give up so easily.
Take, for example, what the Democrats and their Leftmedia propagandists are promoting as a “Don’t Say Gay Bill” in Florida.
The bill, recently passed by the Florida legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis, doesn’t include the words “don’t say gay” or anything of the sort.
In reality, The Parental Rights in Education Bill “basically calls for children to be allowed to have a childhood and for parents to be in charge of their own children’s moral upbringing at very young ages,” argues political analyst Athena Thorne. “The bill prevents schools from teaching gender bizarreness and exotic sexuality to children in kindergarten through third grade — the horror! — and also gives parents the right to know what schools are doing to their kids’ mental health.”
When asked about the supposedly “Don’t Say Gay Bill,” Governor DeSantis admonished a reporter for pushing this false narrative. And when Disney tried to twist DeSantis’s arm for a veto, he replied, “In Florida, our policies got to be based on the best interest of Florida citizens, not on the musing of woke corporations.” But he didn’t stop there.
“You have companies, like at Disney, that are going to say and criticize parents’ rights, they’re going to criticize the fact that we don’t want transgenderism in kindergarten, in first-grade classrooms,” he added. “If that’s the hill they’re going to die on, then how do they possibly explain lining their pockets with their relationship from the Communist Party of China? Because that’s what they do, and they make a fortune, and they don’t say a word about the really brutal practices that you see over there at the hands of the CCP.”
Sometimes, simply calling out the Left for its blatant lies is a small, but important, victory in the culture war.
Honestly, what decent human being who cares about children could oppose a measure to keep kindergarteners from learning about transgender surgery, group sex, hormone therapy, or gender identity?
As it turns out, there’s an army of indecent human beings running this country. One of them is the president of the United States, who slammed the movement to protect children in his State of the Union Address.
Biden exclaimed, “The onslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans and their families — it’s simply wrong.”
Onslaught? Targeting? Protecting a four-year-old from learning about gay sex and “gender transition” is an onslaught and targeting?
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed the Florida bill harms children and is motivated by bigotry. She called it “horrific.”
The president of the United States and his press secretary believe public school educators should teach lessons about masturbation, homosexuality, and transgenderism to elementary school students. And that to not do so is a “horrific” “onslaught” of “targeting.”
Let that sink in.
But they weren’t alone. An army of sick people including politicians, celebrities, and many others quickly condemned the bill.
Thankfully, there are some good people left in the country and Florida is not alone. Georgia legislators just introduced a very similar bill.
Meanwhile, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds recently signed a bill prohibiting biological males from competing in women’s sports, joining a growing list of GOP-led states fighting what shouldn’t have to be a fight in the first place. Over in South Dakota, Governor Kristi Noem also signed legislation into law to limit sports competition to biological sex. Other states passing similar measures include Kansas, Missouri, Utah, and Indiana.
In a statement, Reynolds explained: “This is about fairness. Every young woman deserves an equal playing field where she can achieve success, but common sense tells us that males have an unfair physical advantage over females in athletic competition. It is for those reasons that only girls should be competing in girls’ sports.”
Where are all the feminists out there who claim to be so worried about fairness and opportunities for women? Where are all the feminists who object to using International Women’s Day earlier this week to celebrate men who claim to be women?
Unfortunately, these states are fighting small battles in a much bigger battle to save the soul of our country. For decades, good, decent Americans have stood by and watched our culture rot from within.
Now it’s time to defend what we know is good and right and moral, especially for our children.
