Disney Doubles Down on Depravity
Florida’s commonsense Parental Rights in Education law has attracted the full fury of Disney and its woke fellow travelers.
If you haven’t been paying attention to American cultural and political trends in recent years, you’d think this was an April Fools’ Day joke: Disney employees are no longer permitted to welcome theme-park guests by saying “welcome boys and girls” or even “welcome ladies and gentlemen.”
But the Rainbow Mafia isn’t joking around. This is the new world these radicals are creating, and it’s about time the rest of us start paying attention and stop submitting to the blatant attempt to sexualize our children and erase our traditional values and beliefs. Disney is becoming more deeply involved in that sinister plot, as its own executives recently made known in leaked videos. More on that in a minute.
The mob’s reaction to a commonsense Florida bill called the Parental Rights in Education act, which was recently signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis, shows how extreme it’s become. Deceitfully characterized as the “Don’t Say ‘Gay’ Bill,” what the act really does is prevent K-3 students from being forced to celebrate the gay agenda and keep their teachers from lessons about gender identity and transgenderism in the classroom. Florida is the Rainbow Mafia’s target because they know that state legislation is likely to be the model for other states.
During the early stages of the legislative process, Disney was silent. Then it buckled under pressure from outside groups, leading Disney’s CEO to release a statement criticizing the bill and pledging to overturn it in the legislature or the courts. As Fox Business reports:
Disney’s statement follows criticism from employees and fans over the company and CEO Bob Chapek’s initial silence on the bill. Chapek publicly spoke out against the bill during Disney’s annual shareholder meeting and in a memo to staff earlier this month, pledging that the company would pause all political donations in Florida and contribute millions of dollars to LGBTQ+ causes. He also promised to meet with DeSantis to express his and Disney’s opposition to the legislation.
In other words, a company that produces content and entertainment for young children wants those same young children exposed to ideas that no reasonable person who cares about children would ever support.
To his credit, Governor DeSantis has held his ground. And he punched back: “If that’s the hill they’re going to die on, then how do they possibly explain lining their pockets with their relationship from the Communist Party of China? Because that’s what they do, and they make a fortune, and they don’t say a word about the really brutal practices that you see over there at the hands of the CCP.”
Maybe Disney needs to look inside its own organization. Recently, four Disney employees were among 108 arrested in a Florida crackdown on child predators and human traffickers.
Think about that the next time Mickey Mouse or Goofy approaches your child at Disney World.
Unfortunately, Disney is doubling down on “gay” in its own content, as newly leaked videos reveal. The UK’s Daily Mail reports, “A Disney executive in charge of content vowed to up the ante on gender politics during an all-hands meeting, promising that at least half of the characters in its productions will be LGBTQIA or from racial minorities by the end of the year.” That executive is general entertainment president Karey Burke, who said, “I’m here as the mother of two queer children, actually, one transgender child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader.”
Her poor children.
Burke is far from alone. “Our leadership over there has been so welcoming to my not-so-secret gay agenda,” said Latoya Raveneau, executive producer for Disney Television Animation. “Wherever I could I was adding queerness. No one would stop me and no one was trying to stop me.” Among her show credits are “Rise Up, Sing Out” and “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.”
Entertainment as indoctrination is one of the most profound challenges facing parents who want to teach their children traditional values.
Nevertheless, in the midst of all this filth, there’s still plenty of hope for the silent majority in this country — those who believe in protecting children from the deviant and predatory forces seeking to indoctrinate them.
In Florida, some Republican lawmakers are giving back donations they received from Disney. And one Florida lawmaker is seeking to dismantle the Reedy Creek Improvement District agreement, which was established in 1967 to bring Disney to Florida. The agreement essentially allows Disney to act as its own quasi-government.
These are small but important steps in fending off the Rainbow Mafia.
For too long Americans have been silent in the face of one assault after another on families and children, but the tide just might be turning. We owe it to our country to keep speaking out and standing up for our values.
And more important than that: We owe it to our children.
