Re: “Marine Corps ‘Pride Month’? Cut the Crap!

“There is one major political party that has made the promotion of gender dysphoric propaganda a major component of its social policy platform. The putative commander-in-chief and his Pentagon appointees belong to that party. The Marine post is offensive to many Americans of a different political and religious persuasion. It is political in nature, and therefore a violation of the Hatch Act and very likely UCMJ limits on political activity by members of the military. Meanwhile, both foes and allies in the Mideast probably view this with contempt, and in questioning the manhood of our soldiers also question our ability and willingness to fight. This undercuts the deterrent value of our military and makes war more likely.” —Minnesota

“This makes a mockery of the very effective USMC ad copy from several years ago that depicted a polished Marine in dress blues at attention with his sword: ‘Earned. Never Given.’ In today’s woke USMC, celebrating LGBTQ+ ideology is indeed celebrating something not earned. It celebrates pure narcissism.” —Illinois

“It saddens me to see our country’s proud military being dragged down by this whole queer business. The military branches were NOT created to change society but to protect our country against our enemies. It is shocking how many of those enemies are in our own government, military, education, and general society. I am glad my father who fought in WWII didn’t live to see this.” —South Carolina

Re: “What About That Supreme Court Leak Investigation?

“It’s taking so long because the leaker is probably connected to a senior Democrat (maybe even the White House). It happened in DC, under a Democrat administration, and the Michael Sussman case showed us that nothing will happen to a Democrat. It is entirely possible this will be a résumé enhancement for the intern after it all blows over.” —Oklahoma

Re: “In Brief: U.S. Military on Dangerous Ground

“I wouldn’t want to be the first unit of armor or troop transport that’s the guinea pig for using ‘climate friendly’ military vehicles. I can’t imagine too many charging stations will be available, much less serviceable, in a battlefield. Regardless, imagine the size and cost of the lithium batteries necessary to propel an M1A1 battle tank, or the disaster befalling it as it waits to be recharged during battle. Billions wasted putting our service personnel in harm’s way!” —Maryland

Re: “‘I Did That!’ — Gas Prices Double Under Biden

“Environmentalists will tell you ethanol puts more pollutants into the air than gas. Corn used for ethanol is taking food off the table. EU leaders did it to themselves when they opted for worthless wind energy and are now paying the price — or should I say the people are paying the price. All intentional.” —Minnesota

Re: “Falsely Powering Up the EV Industry

“I would like to see a law passed that EV charging stations can only be operated by windmills or solar power. And no gas generators allowed when solar and wind are not working.” —Washington

Re: “What Part of ‘Shall Not Be Infringed’ Does Biden Not Understand?

“If Biden really cared about guns, he’d go after the criminals with them. He’d call out Chicago for its weekly black-on-black killings and the horrors of the children witnessing them. He’d praise the man who started a choir so that black children could take refuge from these flying bullets on the street instead of being out in it while their parents are working. These kids performed on ‘America’s Got Talent’ a year or two ago. My family cried every time they performed they were so good, but more because of their stories.” —Texas

Re: “Time to Secure America’s Schools

“Our servants sitting on their brains in Washington, DC, do not seem to have the faintest idea what they are there for, and the phrase ‘law and order’ is quite beyond their comprehension. Our nation was conceived as a ‘Christian nation’ because our forefathers were learned people and knew that the Bible is full of information that told the people how to get along with each other. In 1833, Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story wrote a commentary about the U.S. Constitution that explained what it was all about. The Supreme Court adopted that as its guide, but it has managed to destroy it over the years and replace it with its own biases that can be twisted at will.” —Illinois
