From our nation’s founding until 1913, there was a moderating element built into the Constitution. The 17th Amendment changed that with senators elected by popular vote. Prior to 1913, the state legislatures had some control over how their respective senators voted. Repealing the 17th Amendment is imperative! —California

Yet again, we find ourselves in the valley of decision. To those who say, “Well, I’m not going to decide,” I reply, “You just did.” Those who did not vote have no room to complain about unpleasant/bad results. Rather, they should try to find solace in the fact that they “could have” made a difference but instead chose not to. As more than one basketball player has said, “You might miss some of your shots, but you are 100% guaranteed to miss all of the ones you never make.” —Virginia

Durham spent three years and millions of dollars and came away empty, just like many of us thought. Our two-tiered system of justice was fully exposed, and Republicans just flap their gums. Until they decide to get down and dirty like Democrats do, nothing will change. All have become accustomed to Biden’s gaffs. Some are funny, some shameful, some ironic. But this “the economy is strong as hell” includes all of these attributes and more at the same time. Anthropomorphising the economy, an abstract definition of the use of resources, always demands a chuckle (especially among us geeks). The lie that our economy is profiting our people is shameful, and we all know it. Too many of us are struggling and fighting to survive. —Missouri

Instead of seeking glory for themselves, they should organize an institution that rewards highly talented youth with the most advanced skills to challenge liberal social media. A committee of conservative advisers can guide and focus the institution to pursue conservative values. The social media phenomenon took many decades. Very highly trained tech nerds vacuous of historically verified truths indoctrinated in socialist values joined with likeminded co-laborers. Their immense wealth validated their self-image. Now they belong to their church of the woke.
The conservative value of independence fights the passive compliance demanded by socialism. —Missouri

For Wallace to be the recipient of a slight bump from Larson, which caused minor damage to his car, is expected. It’s called racing. For Wallace to accelerate down the track to retaliate, wreck both cars, take a championship contender out, and then walk a good distance to bully Larson is expected from someone who wants to take advantage of some perceived victim status. —Wisconsin

Here’s why abortion is not an issue: 76% of child-bearing-age women (15-39) live in states where abortion is legal, from up to 15 weeks of pregnancy to birth. Fifty-four percent of women live in states where abortion is legal to viability at around 28 weeks of pregnancy. Only 24% live in states that have banned abortion. So the abortion issue is simply another Democrat Party spin diversion. —California
