Cross-Examination
Good news: Former abortion doc tells of his conversion to pro-life: A former abortion doctor and his now-deceased wife co-wrote a recently released book telling of their conversation from pro-abortion to pro-life. The book is titled The Scalpel and the Soul: Our Radical Transformation as Husband and Wife Abortion Doctors. Dr. Haywood Robinson, whose wife Dr. Noreen Johnson died in 2021, explains how they both began work in the abortion industry: “We started out as girlfriend-boyfriend who were doing abortions moonlighting as residents.” The pair “used to work after hours and weekends in various abortion facilities,” he added. “It’s easy money. It’s really not fun to do. I think, in your heart, you know it is wrong. But the love of money is the root of all evil.” Dr. Robinson credits his transformation on abortion to his conversation to Christianity in 1986. “One of the first things that the Lord did for us was to make us aware of our past and abortion,” he explained. “Because what He wanted to do was to take us from darkness to light, from abortion providers to warriors in the pro-life movement.”
Hunter Biden denies his daughter his name: Maybe in the long run she will be fortunate not to share the name of her deadbeat dad, as Hunter Biden’s efforts to deny his young daughter his last name have finally been successful. A deal was struck in the child support case between Hunter and the former exotic dancer he impregnated. He will pay child support up through his girl’s 18th birthday as well as contribute to a college stipend; in exchange, she will officially be denied the Biden last name. No doubt Joe and Jill will continue to disgracefully pretend they have only six grandchildren. Oh, and one more thing — Hunter’s daughter will get to select one of his paintings. It’ll be interesting to see if that “art” continues to fetch such extraordinary prices when the Bidens are no longer useful agents of foreign graft. Regarding the Biden name, Hunter’s attorney had argued, “The Biden name is now synonymous with being well-educated, successful, financially acute, and politically powerful.” He forgot to add lying, corruption, nepotism, and deadbeat dad.
Biden’s border is still wide open: While Leftmedia outlets like The New York Times recently celebrated a significant “decline” in the number of illegal aliens crossing the border, the reporting is based on nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Back in January, the Biden administration created a new program known as CBP One, which effectively expands the number of migrants who can qualify for legal entry. This new program opens the door for upwards of 360,000 migrants annually who might not otherwise qualify for entry. Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies observed, “More than 99 percent of all inadmissible aliens processed under the CBP One app interview scheme are being allowed into the country.” In other words, CBP One is simply a legal workaround of our nation’s border security laws and a way for the Biden administration to claim it’s securing the border while in fact it’s keeping it wide open.
House opens investigation into Biden’s Iran envoy: It appears that Joe Biden isn’t the only one in his administration who has a history of mishandling classified material. Indeed, Robert Malley, his envoy to Iran working to resurrect Barack Obama’s terrible Iran nuclear deal, has the same problem. Malley reportedly had his security clearance revoked over his mishandling of classified material, which prompted Republicans in the House Foreign Affairs Committee to launch an investigation into the matter. Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) blasted the State Department, stating that this “failure to inform Congress of this matter demonstrates at best a lack of candor, and at worst represents deliberate and potentially unlawful misinformation.” Republicans are suspicious that the Biden administration deliberately attempted to hide the allegations against Malley, who is currently on an extended leave of absence. As McCaul argued, “While the suspension of Special Envoy Malley’s clearance is independently troubling, our concern is compounded by the State Department’s failure to respond to the Committee’s efforts to conduct oversight of its negotiations with and policy toward Iran.” Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) charged: “Rob Malley represents the worst of Biden’s foreign policy failures. He counseled concessions to Iran, weakness to the Mullahs, and put America’s interest last.”
