Columnist.
I have often confessed that I am not religious. At the same time, I have no use for atheists. That may seem like a contradiction, but it isn't.
While the Democrats have been devoting all their time and attention to connecting the Trump campaign to Russia, they've been ignoring, and in fact impeding, an actual scandal involving four Pakistanis and national security.
The way I see it, there are actually four or five political parties in America, but I'm not counting those weird cults that actually run candidates in presidential elections. So far as I'm concerned, the Greenies, the Libertarians and the Reformers, don't constitute actual parties. They mainly serve to give the socially inept a way to meet girls.
Because liberals lie about everything and everyone, it is difficult to figure out what makes them tick.
Hollywood did not invent nepotism, but it certainly turned it into a thriving business. It was prevalent because the studio bosses could always find an opening in the producer ranks for a close relative. Unlike writers, directors, composers and cinematographers, those guys didn't have to possess any discernible talent. In fact, a popular gag line in the 30s and 40s parodied Hemingway's book title: "The Son-in-Law Also Rises."
Whenever I look around at all the madness taking place, I take comfort from the fact that bad as things are, they could be ever so much worse. All it would have taken was for about 80,000 voters in the rustbelt states to have stayed home on Election Day or voted for Mrs. Clinton, and Donald Trump would be back in his tower overseeing his real estate empire and Mrs. Clinton would be extending the Obama nightmare into the foreseeable future.
There are times when I try to imagine what it must be like to be a member of the Left. But no matter how hard I try, I find I simply can't bring it off. Instead, I wind up marveling at their ability.
Among the many benefits of having Trump in the White House, one that should not be ignored is the greater understanding that now exists between the other religions and evangelical Christianity. I'm sure I'm not the only conservative Republican who thought that when the liberal media conspired to release the audio of Trump exchanging crude comments with Bobby Bush about women shortly before the election, it spelled the end of Trump's chances of defeating Hillary Clinton.
I've had my own problems with President Trump's tweets. But he stirred up a major brouhaha by tweeting a few choice comments about MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and his fiancée/co-host, Mike Brzezinski, with even some conservatives joining in the attack, insisting that Trump wasn't behaving in a presidential manner.
I wrote this piece several years ago, but I believe it bears repeating, especially when so many ingrates appear to take America for granted or, worse yet, regard the greatest nation ever devised by man and God with suspicion or even contempt.
It's no secret that Democrats could barely exist if it weren't for scapegoats. Because they rely entirely on identity politics in pursuit of votes, the particular scapegoat depends on which group is being seduced.
The Democrats were all ready to don their paper party hats and fling confetti in the air as soon as Jon Ossoff defeated Karen Handel in the special election to replace Tom Price, who had resigned in order to serve as President Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services.
If you're anything like me, you long ago concluded that politicians were a bunch of second-raters who'd do just about anything for a buck or a vote. But, you would tell yourself, you could have total faith in the folks in the intelligence community who had nothing on their minds but the safeguarding of America against her enemies, foreign and domestic.
In the latest issue of the New American, in an article titled "Green Religion," John Larabell makes a persuasive case for the argument that environmentalism is a religion.
It is easy for people, including President Trump and me, to bash the mainstream media. For one thing, it's fun; for another, they have it coming. But I withhold the greatest portion of my contempt for those who swallow the lies, knowing it's swill, but insisting that it tastes like chocolate milk.
Between the left-wing politicians and zombie judges, California has gone from being the golden state to being the world's biggest loony bin. Say what you will about places like Illinois, New York and Massachusetts, no other state has ever made someone as freaky as Jerry Brown both the youngest governor in state history as well as the oldest.
Bernie Goldberg and I used to be on friendly terms, although we had never met. He wrote very complimentary forewords to a couple of my books, and I, in turn, let him post my articles on his website for free.
I don't watch Sean Hannity very often. Mainly, that's because I currently watch Bret Baier and Tucker Carlson, and I find that with the repetition of the news and some of the same guests, two hours of Fox is as much as I can take in a single day.
For the past 40-odd years, whenever ketchup is in the news, it's because liberals are attacking the stuff. Long before Watergate, when Nixon was in the White House, I kept hearing his political enemies ridiculing him because he allegedly put ketchup on his cottage cheese.
I realize that as far as left-wingers are concerned, it's a combination of criminal and sinful that some people make more money than other people. Sometimes a great deal more money.
