Math is remorseless, and it will eventually balance its numbers, not caring who is hurt in the process
The Republicans' opposition to Susan Rice's potentially becoming the next secretary of state is pretty hard to understand. It wasn't long ago that Republicans were all for a different black woman named Condoleezza Rice taking the same job -- is the GOP just bigoted about the name Susan? Republicans' stated objections to Rice make no sense. They complain that she's "dishonest" and "incompetent," to which she could easily respond, *Well, duh, that's why I work for the government.* When did Republicans start insisting on approving only competent, honest people, especially with regard to the Obama administration? Is it just me, or did that come completely out of left field?
Republicans need to stop nominating right-wing extremists like John McCain and Mitt Romney.
Our country has faced many problems and gone through many changes, but finally Americans have come together and said, *Yes! Right here -- this is exactly where we want America.* At least, that's what the recent election tells us -- the American people resoundingly said, "Don't change a thing." They chose Barack Obama as president to propose bold, new ideas to control the economy, a Republican House to stop most of that, and a Democratic Senate to refrain from passing one of those pesky, restrictive budgets.
Why we need to stop worrying about the future: there is none.

Want a smaller government? Stop complaining about stuff within earshot of politicians.
Hey, remember when 6% was considered to be high unemployment? That's certainly a distant memory now that we've had higher than 8% unemployment for over three and a half years. But don't worry: President Obama is convinced that he's making good progress and that if he can just continue being president -- and if the Republicans are magically more accommodating in his next term -- everything will be super. Plus, if he can just tax the rich some more, then somehow -- no one can quite explain how -- that will turn everything around. Governor Romney, on the other hand, says that the way things are progressing, we’re doomed to high unemployment and living on off-brand Ramen noodles for as long as Obama is in office. But if he's elected, Romney says he'll get things moving in the right direction with his dynamic plan of... tax cuts or something.
The first term of the Obama administration has been a complete failure -- a complete failure of Americans to deserve the great president they elected. President Obama has done everything for you. He spent billions to create you dozens of new green jobs. He's given you amazing new health care laws. He even wore a flag pin a couple of times, though that had to disgust him. And his poor wife has done all she can to put up with the sight of your fat children waddling around everywhere. And yet you shout and shake your fat fists at him like *he's* done something wrong. It reminds me of the end of that one *Twilight Zone* episode where everyone screams when they see the beautiful woman, because they all have pig faces, and she's different from them. Well, Obama is the delicate beauty, and you're all the ugly, pig-faced idiots whose sight should repulse and terrify him.
