Tax Day
Yesterday was the worst day of the year for many Americans — TAX DAY. But as you are slamming your fist on the table, keep in mind that the taxes you filed are based on the old Obama code with higher tax rates. Be certain to remind your friends and family members about this fact if they complain that the Trump tax cut didn’t make any difference for them.

St. Louis’ 1950 population was more than 856,000; today it’s less than 309,000. A similar story of population decline can be found in most of our formerly large and prosperous cities. In some cities, population declines since 1950 are well over 50 percent. In addition to Detroit and St. Louis, those would include Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Whither Congress?
The news that President Donald Trump authorized the U.S. military to strike a Syrian chemical manufacturing facility is hardly surprising. Even without the potential incentive to distract the news media from Robert Mueller’s investigation and the next phase of James Comey’s “Buy My Book!” tour, almost any president would want to strike at Bashar al-Assad after his repeated uses of chemical weapons on his own people — especially his country’s children.
