Did you think about the signing of the Declaration of Independence this week? The July 4 holiday is meant to honor that, not just fireworks. Ironically, government’s grown so much since 1776 that fireworks might be illegal in your town.

Trump Can Make American Energy Dominant
At the Unleashing American Energy event last week, Donald Trump renewed his promise of an era of American global energy dominance. He said that this energy superpower status would be gained by using all of our energy resources. He also noted that in just six months, we’ve reduced the petroleum share of the trade deficit by 5 percent. What a welcome change from Barack Obama, whose administration took every possible step to stop American fossil fuel development.
The Purpose of Liberty: Are You Fulfilling It?
July 4th: A day that many Americans will spend with family and friends, enjoying food and fireworks. It’s a day that we celebrate the founding of our nation, more than two centuries ago. That day in 1776 was a day like no other for the men who penned their names to our founding document, the Declaration of Independence. Their grievances were serious, real and legitimate. And their public defiance of the King was a certain death warrant, leading them to mutually pledge their “lives, fortunes and sacred honor.”

University: We Screwed Up! We Won’t Toss Out Bibles or Crosses
The leadership at Oklahoma’s East Central University slammed on the brakes and jettisoned its decision to removes crosses, Bibles and other religious symbols from a historic campus chapel.
Independence Forever!
Tomorrow we will celebrate our nation’s independence, the 241st birthday of the United States of America. We would be well served to pause for a few moments in the midst of the picnics, parades, and other festivities and first, give thanks for our freedom but then ask, “How do we maintain and pass this torch of freedom to the next generation?”
