‘America First’ Isn’t a Trump Creation
President Trump is something of a paradox. He roots himself in nostalgia for yesteryear — “Make America great again!” — but is remarkably unconcerned with history. He ransacks the past for rhetorical baubles but declines to carry their historical baggage too.
Universities Cave to Snowflakes
One wonders just how far spineless college administrators will go when it comes to caving in to the demands of campus snowflakes. For those unfamiliar with the term “snowflakes,” it is increasingly being used to characterize college students easily traumatized by criticism and politically incorrect phrases. They demand safe spaces and trigger warnings so as not to be upset by views that challenge their own. Snowflakes feel as though they must be protected against words, events and deeds that do not fully conform to their extremely limited, narrow-minded beliefs built on sheer delusion. This might explain their behavior in the wake of Donald Trump’s trouncing of Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump Won the Respect Vote
Donald Trump isn’t the first Republican president denounced as “illegitimate.” The Left spent eight years refusing to get over George W. Bush’s victory in 2000. It was the same issue. He won the election by the rules, but Al Gore had more “popular” votes.

Donald Trump’s New Culture War
The nation’s foremost culture warrior is President Donald J. Trump. He wouldn’t, at first blush, seem well-suited to the part. Trump once appeared on the cover of Playboy. He has been married three times. He ran beauty pageants and was a frequent guest on the Howard Stern radio show. His “locker-room talk” captured on the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape didn’t, shall we say, demonstrate a well-honed sense of propriety.
Trump’s $10 Trillion Stimulus Plan
All of Washington seems to be in cardiac arrest over news reports late last week that Donald Trump is planning a budget featuring $10 trillion in cuts over the next decade. We can only hope and pray that the reports are accurate.
President Trump Gets to Work
What an incredible inaugural week! It was amazing to see the excitement of hundreds of thousands of people who came to Washington to celebrate the peaceful transfer of power from a left-wing administration to a conservative populist president. Not to belabor the obvious, but the mess President Trump has inherited is beyond comprehension.
Day Won: Trump Delivers on Promises
With a hand on the Bible and an eye toward the future, Barack Obama’s successor didn’t wait until Monday to start building voters’ trust. His new title was barely hours old when President Donald Trump got to work writing a new chapter for America. By lunch, he’d already signed an executive order targeting Obamacare — with promises of more to come. “The time for empty talk is over,” he vowed to the masses on the National Mall. “Now arrives the hour of action.”
America’s Second Civil War
It is time for our society to acknowledge a sad truth: America is currently fighting its second Civil War.
Rhetoric and Reality
President Donald Trump’s inaugural address may not have risen to the rhetorical level of John F. Kennedy (“The torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans” and “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”), or Ronald Reagan’s critique of government (“Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem”), or even Barack Obama’s in 2009 (“On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord”), but the speech set out large goals, many details of which are yet to be revealed.

Our Debt to Obama, Reid & Soros
Because some people are so despicable, it’s easy to write them off entirely, ignoring the good they’ve done, no matter how inadvertently, along the way. For instance, eight years ago, when the Democrats had absolute control of the political landscape, it appeared that the GOP would be joining the Whigs and the Bullmoose in the boneyard of political parties. But, thanks to the overreach of Barack Obama and his endless series of miscalculations, which included the Affordable Care Act, Solyndra, the billion-dollar stimulus, Cash for Clunkers and the Iran deal, we saw the Republicans reacquire the House, the Senate and the Oval Office.

The Left Is Panicking Over Donald Trump
First there was the woman at Hillary Clinton’s election night “victory party” who curled up in the fetal position and began crying after learning there was to be no victory. But that’s just one person, I thought. Then, on the eve of his inauguration, New York Times columnist Charles Blow not only declared Donald Trump’s presidency illegitimate, he addressed the president elect in this way: “You will wear that scarlet ‘I’ on your tan chest for as long as you sit in the White House.”
